Yes, there is a train track about 200 yards from the campground -- and it occasionally travels through with horns blaring. (There is a crossing after all.) But my first apartment many years ago was right over the tracks in another town and I learned way back then to find comfort with the rail traffic. It's difficult, impossible really, for me to honestly accuse anyone of overreacting to the nearby trains. What I can say is this: It's not exactly Grand Central Station. If anyone claims they were awakened half a dozen times, I can promise you that such a case is rare ... and perhaps that person needs to participate in a sleep study. But I digress... We were here on June 28-29, 2019 at site #51. Nice site. Short walk to the nicely kempt pool, showers and store. Most importantly, the staff here embodies just about every point of any customer service manual. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very friendly staff, our cabin was very clean & the grounds were maintained very well. There are 3 separate (small) dog play areas which was perfect to let ours stretch their legs. Would absolutely go back & wish we could've stayed longer!

It's nice lots of trees but couldn't get in satellite for TV .. They do have cable .. It's a nice place I have nothing negative to say other than yes there is a train that comes threw...the price is a lil higher than others but it offers more than others we just stayed over night.. if you have young kids they would have a blast here with the pool and lil play grounds free wifi pet friendly

Very nice park close to the highway. Check-in was friendly and fast, they guided us to our site which was very helpful. We even had a pizza delivered to our RV also a plus when you've spent the day on the road. The park was clean, all were pull thru sites and we weren't bothered by the train which came by relatively early. Would stay here again.

We have been stopping at Koa from las vegas to alabama this was my favorite except for one huge issue about 8 times during the night trains basically barrel through the camp blowing their horns..it was Crazzzy loud..if your a light sleeper and need rest this may not be the best option..we sort of laughed it off as part of the journey..staff was awesome loved the camp ground tons of trees..you can order pizza in the store and they bring it to your rv!

    Driving up.

We find this to be a pleasant stop on our trips from NM to NH seasonally. Shady campsites. Quiet when we are here. Nice staff as well

Nice swings and kids play area. 3.5 star update, because the WI-FI is spotty and only works intermittently. They are putting in a lot of effort to improve the park. The family that runs it is very nice and helpful. It's located right across from the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. We walked over one afternoon and took the tour of her home and walked through the museum. Neat place. The RV park is very grassy with gravel. Our site was pretty level and had lots of shade. Not all sites have full hookups so be sure to ask when you reserve. Some are just W/E. There is a creek that runs along the property that is cool and beautiful. Fun to splash in. Lots of trees on the property. There is also a small pond, a natural cave to explore, and plenty of areas to walk your dog if needed. A bathhouse next to the office has two restrooms, two showers, and laundry. We used the showers twice. They were small, but clean. The bathhouse is not air conditioned or heated so summer showers can be a bit hot and muggy and I imagine winter showers quite chilly. THE WIFI IS AWESOME! I could not believe such a small RV park had such great wifi. Thank you, Riddick family! The small town of Mansfield is just down the road. We enjoyed the local icecream shop as well as the pizza and pasta restaraunt. Overall, this is a great RV park. We will definitely stay again if we're ever in the area again.

Owners, Brandon and Teresa are dedicated to good customer service! Located a few miles off the beaten path, and over hills and charming country roads, is a hidden little gem: B Berry Farms. As you enter the driveway, you are welcomed by a seasonally "dressed" little, directional sign. But if that wasn't enough, if you give them a call first, Teresa will greet you at the front gate. On my arrival, both Brandon and Teresa welcomed me, and Brandon even helped me to back into my site, comically named, "RV There Yet"! The site was fairly level with both 30 amp and 110 available, a mini picnic table, a fire ring, a nearby water source, and even an outdoor toilet facility. Teresa signed me in and then went over a list of available products for the season. She also asked me if I wanted to buy some fresh baked banana bread? "Um... yes please!" I didn't realize how "fresh" the bread was until she told me that she baked it to order and would bring it down to my campsite when it was done. I mean, she had me at "fresh baked banana bread", but then hand delivered to my site? Wow! This was really amazing service. The farm has tons to do: kid's zip line, walking trails, adult size swings, and pick your own produce. There are RV sites, tent sites (some with power), and even a cabin. They also make their own personal care products and use some of their own natural ingredients. You can even order their products online and have them delivered around the country! AMAZING! Check out their website for more info.

My most recent was one of those giant group trips this past weekend. I've also floated at NRO and some crappy site around Steelville (Green's maybe?). There's definitely a reason we keep going back to OEW's and will continue to do so. First of all, Brian, the owner, is a super nice guy. We hadn't made it down there in about 3 years, and he still remembered me "Last time I saw you, you just got engaged!". Though not great at answering e-mails (just don't bother), the staff is quick to return phone calls if you leave a voicemail. The campsite itself has a nice layout, and they keep improving. Port-o-potties are serviced often, and they have a small shower, bathroom, and store close to the campsite (previously they were only available way up the hill, so thumbs up on the improvement!). The showers and bathrooms were clean and well lit, unlike some other places I've been. By the time we booked, the aluminum canoes were all gone, which is usually how we go, because they're cheaper. Now, no longer being the broke college student, I will ALWAYS pay the measly $5 extra for the fiberglass canoes. Molded seats...worth every penny. Remember that. In general, the Niangua is a great river to float on. Decent current, good sand bars, and nice cold water! And if you're going to float the Niangua, go to One Eyed Willy's!
