Their housekeeping staff does not close and lock your room door when they have to go away from the room to grab something they forgot. Which entails actually taking the elevator off of your floor. The end. Update: to even get housekeeping to come up I had to call twice and go downstairs to ask the front desk... And when they finally came, all they did was replaced towels and take out the trash. No replacing of cups, no replacing of many toiletries, and definitely no making of the bed (not even straightening the sheets). read more

Stayed here to see a concert at CFG Bank Arena, which was a 5 minute direct walk from the hotel (Go through the Park) Parking: The hotel has $45 in/out valet parking, but literally next door - you can park at a garage for $29 (actually came to $35 as there was a 20% charge, wth!) This parking doesn't allow for in/out We had 1 bedroom, 2 queen suite. 2 queen beds and a pull out couch in the living room. 2 TVs in this room type (bedroom & Living room) Microwave, small sink and mini fridge in Living Room area Not a lot of lightening in the Living Room Bathroom faces the 2 queen beds. Sink is on the outside. Tub was a little dirty, I nearly slipped and killed myself in the shower We didn't watch tv, but looked to be streaming apps available and local channels Breakfast was free, yet to be desired. Sausage, eggs, ham/cheese sandwhich (which was stuck to the pan), cereal, juices etc. This is def. an old hotel (converted from an old bank) that needs updating There is no business room. You can purchase drinks, snacks etc. from the lobby area Control your own room temperature Elevators were a bit slow. This hotel has a very convenient location to the Inner Harbor, available at a great price... so I booked a standard, king room for a one night trip here!! Prior to arrival, I noted in the reservation that I would be arriving very late at night and put in a request for 2 foam pillows... even chatting with hotel staff, via the Marriott app, as I was en route to the hotel to ensure the foam pillows were accommodated. On arrival, the front desk staff member was nice and quick to get our room key... but failed to address the pillow request - instead offered an upgrade to a larger, corner room and feather-free suite. In the morning, I woke up past my alarm and realized I missed breakfast by only a few minutes and messaged the staff via app inquiring if there was any breakfast remaining... as a cranky and overtired human, I was not the friendliest via the chat but Ms King (the manager that morning) was extremely kind and understanding, she grabbed a few breakfast items and gave them to me as I checked out; she also apologized on behalf of the night staff for not accommodating the foam pillow request!! read more

The hotel is a great value for the price. Given my booking on a busy weekend. Rooms are spacious and have a kitchette. The hotel is in need of updating. My room had some flickering lights, windows that didn't seal and a fairly persistent weed smell. The bathroom and beds were clean but some of the carpet in my room had melted patches and the door took some effort to lock as it was clear that the door had been pried open before. The room had two TV's- one for the bedroom area and one for the office which seemed strange since they were mounted less than a foot apart. The desk lighting was oddly greenish. The room was loud. I'm not sure where all of the noise was but the sound of traffic and some kind of construction was distracting. The bed was comfortable and I was glad to be close to all of the attractions. read more

I checked in on Wednesday and before I checked in the hotel had charged me $160. When I checked in the gentleman at the check in desk that they would be charging me the room charge and a $150 incidental, which I assumed they did because when I checked in they charged me $367 and they had already charged me the $160. My total room charge was $377, so when you calculate the $367 plus $160 it would equate to $377 and the $150 incidental fee. I had some issues with valet and my car which the manager informed myself and the cop they had nothing to do with it because it's a private company Marriott hires. Valet either stole stuff from my rental vehicle or didn't secure it as there was no forced entry into the vehicle. I checked out around 10:30am on Friday, the 15th. The manager and I had some great conversations and laughs before checking out. However, about an hour after I checked out I received notification that my card was charged an additional $150. I called the hotel, the gentleman that answered said he couldn't explain it and to call back 10 mins later to speak to the manager which I did. When speaking to the manager I asked why was I charged the additional $150 after check out. She proceeded to explain it was an incidental charge that would fall off. I tried to explain to her that didn't make sense. Why would you all charge me $160, then $367, then another $150. In me trying to explain that was never properly explained she proceeded to raise her tone at me and then I proceeded to raise my tone with her. She then proceeded to say, "Maja, this is the manager you spoke with at the first desk, we just had a great conversation." I responded with "Yes, I know who I am speaking with but what you're not going to do is raise your tone at me then gaslight me like you didn't all because we had a great conversation, I don't care who you are or who I just had a great conversation with, it doesn't give you a right to raise your tone or voice at me." She then proceeded to say that I was upset and cursing at her and she was going to hang up on me. I proceeded to then try and state how they had charged me a total of $667 in different charges and it didn't make sense, but before I could, she hung up. Mind you, she was on bluetooth speaker phone in my car and I had other people in my car who were confused as I was because I never once cursed at her. But, I guess because she felt like I was "upset" she had the right to hang up on me. She's right about one thing - I was upset, I was charged a total of $667 without correct explanation and someone had just stole a bunch of my stuff while my vehicle was under the valet company they hired. With that being said, I will never stay at that hotel because of valet, and even more so now because of how the manager thought it was okay to speak to or at me. read more

We are incredibly disappointed with how SpringHill Suites Downtown/Inner Harbor handled our reservation and the complete lack of compassion and integrity throughout this process. We booked our stay nearly a year in advance--specifically to attend the Army-Navy game in December, which falls on the anniversary of my late husband's death. He was a former Army football player, and this trip was meant to honor his life. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the stadium and the convenience it offered, as we're traveling with our one-year-old. Out of nowhere, our reservation was canceled via a generic email, citing renovations. When we reached out for help, the front office manager gave a tone-deaf and dismissive response, stating there was "nothing else they could do." No offer to rebook us, no assistance finding alternate accommodations--just a vague suggestion to "contact Marriott or Expedia." Meanwhile, the same hotel is now showing availability for $703/night--for the exact same dates. We believe our reservation was canceled so the hotel could rebook at a premium rate. That's not a renovation; that's price gouging. To say we feel taken advantage of is an understatement. We are Marriott Bonvoy members, part of the vacation club, and we own four timeshares. Yet none of that seemed to matter. Customer loyalty means nothing here. Marriott, do better. We expected more from your brand. And to SpringHill Suites Inner Harbor: your actions have turned a deeply meaningful trip into a logistical and emotional nightmare. read more

Need to stay a night in Baltimore for work and opted to stay here, as it was really close to the meeting location. Check in was spot-on... the Middle Eastern lady who checked me in was great and sincerely friendly. The only room available when I checked in was a "king suite" right above the front counter (their 2nd floor). When I first walked into the room, it looked very old and dated, like it had "cheap motel" furniture. The more I stayed in that room, the more I felt like that about the hotel itself! I had several Teams meetings and lots of work to do while in the room and it was far from comfy & clean being in there. The swivel chair to sit in at the desk was stain and nasty, I can't imagine what might have caused all those white stains on the seat. The outlets in the desk lamp didn't work unless you held the plug at an angle. The TV in that part of the room didn't work at all. And then, after a few hours, I started smelling fuel... After an hour of dealing with that nasty smell, I went to the desk and clearly the desk person changed because now it was a bad-attitude-having black lady who looked at me as if I was speaking another language when I asked what the smell was. The guy at the valet counter was very helpful, as he came up and told me something happened while filling the generator and that was diesel I was smelling. The obvious concern anyone would have is what they're doing to evacuate the smell... When I asked her this, she had no answer and acted as if I needed to stop bugging her so she could get back to using her cell phone. I will say that the valet staff were all great... The initial desk lady was great... The other two desk ladies - not so much. The room - pretty bad, dated, dirty, and half functional. Definitely would not return. read more

This hotel is AWESOME! I had a terrible experience at the nearby Candlewood Suites so I left and went around the corner to Springhill Suites. Luckily they not only had a room available but allowed for early check-in since I flew out of San Francisco on a red eye plane and thus was tired so I needed to take a nap. Every staff member I encountered was the epitome of professional and friendly. The room was also extremely clean and spacious, plus the bed was comfortable as well. read more

Stayed here for Orioles game and a mixed bag. It's about 15-minute walk to the ballpark, which is fine. As with much of downtown Baltimore, it can be sketchy at night. The inner harbor was just a few blocks away, and there were older bars right down the alley on Water Street that were OK. The lobby smelled pretty bad when I was there. It was very pungent, like they were covering up some other smell. The room was clean but noisy. I could hear kids in the room next to me because the AC unit wasn't loud at all. There was one night, I heard motorcycles gunning their engines until 2 a.m. They were all over downtown. And then I heard sirens. Not great to sleep. read more

Some cons, lots of pros, and would definitely stay here again. PROS: -- We had a corner room that was *huge.* -- Free hot breakfast -- Truly the best water pressure I've ever had in a hotel. -- (Mostly) friendly staff -- Easy walking distance to inner harbor (but still affordable) -- Beautiful lobby with soft drinks and (some) snacks available for purchase CONS: -- Just expect the free breakfast to be a cluster. It ends at 9, so the 8-9am rush is real, and the setup of the food means you're running into/navigating around people constantly. Also the coffee is out for 15-20 minutes at a time. Again, just expect it and you won't be grumpy. (Or just make free coffee in your room.) -- Check-in is at 3, no exceptions. -- We left from 10-3 one day but our room didn't get cleaned. You could probably avoid this just by stopping by the front desk on your way out and letting them know when you'll be back. -- While 90% of the staff was lovely, we did have one front desk employee who was so unhappy, we felt like we were interrupting their social hour by checking in. Waiting for coffee and one unfriendly staff member isn't enough to deter me from staying here again! This place is truly comfortable, and for the price, it's especially great. If you're expecting 5-star accommodations and service, you'll need to head to Harbor East and pay twice as much. read more

We had a very good experience here! We were a large group from NJ and we came in town for the Yankees/Orioles game. Staff was helpful with check in and recommending Mo's Seafood where we had the best crab cakes and great service. That evening my Uncle fell and hurt his knee and the staff here took good care of him and made sure he made it to and back safely to the hotel. Drew runs a great ship here and is a good GM. We will return here again, rooms were spacious and comfortable. read more

Where do I start .... 1) It's an old establishment so don't expect new tech or high tech in your suites. 2) room is relatively clean except we found dirty brown (possibly blood) stains on the pillows. 3) not much personal hygiene products given, no Q-tips, lotions or combs in bathroom, just your standard shampoo, soap, conditioner and body wash. 4) super friendly staff, professional and friendly front desk and maintenance crew, that's what raised this review from 1 star to 2. 5) very reasonable price for the size of the room 6) small entrance to lobby, no pull around drive way with awning. When we arrived it was during a downpour..... 4 adults 3 kids. Use your imagination on what that looks like 7) hotel next to a dark alleyway .... Now to the meaty part of the low rating. Please keep in mind the rating is a personal experience and at the time of the writing, there's not much the hotel or it's staffs can do. Shortly after getting into our room we started to smell some sort of fragrance...with an underlying scent of marijuana..... smells like someone smoked weed and tried to cover it up with cheap cologne. We don't know if it's coming from the vents or if it was left over from the previous customers. The smell comes and goes so I can only assume it's someone from surrounding rooms. I am allergic to strong smells so I never use cologne or personal fragrances so it was especially torturous for me. Even My senseless kids were like omg what is that smell, so I know it's not me being sensitive. This smell tortured us for our entire stay, I even had the very nice gentleman from the maintenance crew come smell when I smelled it, unfortunately he swears he couldn't smell anything. I went to wash my nose to make sure I am not crazy lol and my kids and wife says .... ummm stand here and smell... and bam there it is... I guess the maintenance guy either try to cover up or he is already used to the fragrance and doesn't even know it. Or maybe .... just maybe.... he is the one smoking that good stuff ....? Anyways, it's not a bad hotel if you get a decent room like my friend who is staying in another room... very neutral smell. No fragrance. But for me, I probably wouldn't stay here again, the smell of cheap fragrance and weed killed our. Price: 1.5/5 (lower the cheaper) Friendliness: 5/5 Cleanliness:3/5 Edit: lowered it to 1 star. Forgot to mention both locks for me and my friend's room has issues And the reason for lowering rating to 1 star is because of their valet service. I texted them using their texting services, 5 minutes later text replies car will be ready in 5 mins and to come down. Well 25 mins later car was finally here. I gave the valet girl a $5 tip and nicely asked her "is it really busy today?" She replied hastily "yeah, I work both hotels by myself" and walked away, not a smile, not a thank you, not even a bye ........ I adjust my rating standards base on the quality (money I spent) on the place. I have stayed from $65 a night in PA all the way up to $1000 a night in Venice. This hotel, is not even up to $65 a night standard in my opinion. One of the most disappointing experience ever. read more

Oh dear! I know downtown Baltimore is not known to be an oasis of relaxation but I was not expecting such a chaotic stay. I switched rooms three times within the first hour of arriving at the hotel. First one because of a broken light in the shower, the second one due to a lack of hot water in the bathroom sink. As it turned out, the third one had the same issue but was never rectified. As far as hospitality is concerned, don't expect any. Everytime I alerted the front desk of the continuing issues, it was met with silence and a blank state, there are no "welcomes" when you arrive or "I'm sorry" when things go wrong. But the real reason that Ill never stay here again is the street noise, it was pretty significant, there's a lounge next door on Calvert St which is open until 2AM on the weekends and despite the fact that I was on the opposite side of the hotel, there was so much noise not only from cars but also from revelers being obnoxious. Sunday night was much more peaceful so maybe I would stay here on a weeknight on a very high level and checking the faucets immediately but the whole stay was so stressful, probably not. On the plus side, the location is convenient to everything downtown (I was able to walk to my event at CDG Arena) and their suites are humongous and well insulated (I didn't hear any internal noise from any neighbor). read more

This hotel is pretty close to the Inner Habor area in downtown, so you don't really have to worry about driving too much, unless you plan on leaving the immediate area. The rooms at this hotel are extremely spacious and clean, so you can really spread out. They offer a decent hot breakfast each morning, which is included with your room price, and it has a make your own waffle station. The staff here was very approachable and knowledgeable about the area too. Just an FYI, they don't offer an airport shuttle and if you leave early in the morning for a flight, using Uber/Lyft is your best bet. Pro tip: Up until 2007, this location was a working bank. If you go downstairs into the basement, they kept the original bank vault as a meeting space. So, if you're looking for something very instagrammable, check it out. read more

About $28 with Uber. + We were able to check in early. Although not always a guarantee, this definitely made these tired travelers happy. + Building used to be a bank, which meant there were many interesting and beautiful architectural features throughout the hotel. + 2 bedroom/2 bath suite was comfortable and roomy. Living room also had a sofa sleeper. + Free breakfast. Few hot items (turkey bacon and eggs). Cereal. Fruit. + Friendly and helpful staff. + Coffee and water available all day in the lobby. + Big bowl of Chupa Chups (lollipops) in the lobby. Nice to have a sugary pick-me-up when returning from a long day. - Shower temperature was inconsistent. No shower pressure. - Not enough lighting in the living room. I will commute from DC for two days instead of staying here. --- Walked in and the place smelled faintly like a steaming sewer. A guest at the front desk was trying to get a room in a different hotel. Not sure what that was about but I left and came back after lunch. By this point the receptionist thought that my room might be ready but had to walk up to the 5th floor to check for herself. The room itself is great; they gave me a corner suite which is huge and appears very clean. I'm a little alarmed that somebody stayed in this hotel just eight months ago and reported bedbugs. I'm hopeful that that problem has been solved but I'll update this review in the morning if I get eaten alive! read more

Quite a comfortable hotel and from the ninth floor, very little street noise made it up to here. The occasional slammed door made it through the walls but otherwise, it was very quiet. The room had the same layout as other SpringHills where I have stayed. Two beds on one side of a half wall with a fold-out sofa and work desk on the other side. Small fridge and microwave with coffee service. Clean bathroom with tub/shower plus a separate vanity area. Armoire rather than closet, with a folding ironing table. Two TV's in the room (one for each side of the half-wall). Internet was easy to access and worked quite well. Market in the lobby has snacks and drinks. Breakfast is served in the morning with the usual scrambled eggs, meat, bread/bagels for toasting, fruit, yogurt, etc. $32/day for valet parking. Yikes! read more

By far, this is my favorite hotel. Reasonable prices for the location. Walking distance to the ball park, football stadium, Amtrak, and all the eats you can find. Although this is my second visit, I didn't make it across the street to the bar. Upon entering the hotel, the loud pop of the door will shock you to your shoes. But, when you walk in, the hotel lobby is beautiful and spotless. Since its COVID, don't expect coffee to be hot after 9am in the lobby but it is available and staff will make it for the asking. Since we travel with teens, staying in a two bedroom is a dream for everyone. They hate the rollaway beds. Staff is masked up, courteous and super accommodating. Two room, each with a king size bed and a full bath. no one was disappointed. Older renovated bank gives this hotel its charm. We stayed on the top floor and had a skylight in the sitting room. Nice. The homeless is noticeable but not bothersome. Cons--elevators. Last stay, all three elevators were working, this time only one. With a limit of 3 people per elevator, masks are enforced by staff but people will do as they do. Pros--walking distance to everything wonderful. We took in a Orioles game and walked the 6 blocks there and back. Restaurants too numerous to count. Amtrak, and the football stadium are a short walk as well. Caution--be wary of valet parking. I saw them gun a customer car and my partner saw the same thing during our last stay. But, parking is around the corner so self parking is not an issue. Yes, I am going to stay here again. And get another two bedrooms again. And maybe take in a little night life. read more

I checked in on a Wednesday evening around 6. No one was working the valet desk to check my car. And once i got to the front desk the room i booked wasn't available because they closed the upper floors where the room type i booked was located. I wasn't notified prior to checking in. We were assured they would have a room for us when we returned from dinner. There was a room but we were informed that the heat wasn't working on floor. This hotel is undergoing a renovation and a change of management. The property is kind of tired and in need of updating so this renovation is definitely needed. Richard at the desk was very helpful with seeing to our needs and was very apologetic for the confusion over the room reservation. I hope they can work out the kinks and become a stellar property in the heart of Baltimore. read more

The location is excellent if you are touring the city. There is an easy bus from the Amtrak station to very near the hotel, and you can walk to the Inner Harbor or the Basilica and Mt. Vernon area. The staff is very friendly and eager to be of service. Damien at the front desk went out of his way to reach out to guests and ask how we were doing. Jean at the breakfast bar was kind enough to give me some juice before breakfast opened when I needed to take some medicine. Wanda was super-friendly and made my morning that much more cheerful. Daryl was very helpful with luggage. So, the staff gets five stars in my book. The hotel gets a little less than five, only because it is a little stale smelling. I live in the DC area and was supposed to be attending an event in Baltimore so I booked a room here. The event was cancelled due to Coronavirus, but we decided to do a staycation in Baltimore anyway. I had a nice room that was very large, almost like a small apartment (room 103). We had plenty of space, two TVs, a couch, microwave and a huge bathroom with double sinks and two showers. Only thing a bit dated were the showers. The inside of the hotel is also beautiful with a charming older feel to it. The stair cases were beautiful. The common area is very large. The staff at this hotel is really great. At the front desk someone walked is to our room after we checked in. When we were going out to dinner at night I asked one person if he could take a photo of us with my phone and he happily assisted us. Breakfast was pretty standard. In the morning I realized I forgot my toothbrush though and the front desk gave me one. I would stay here again. read more

People tend to underestimate how far excellent customer service goes and he was right on the money, offering recommendations, assisting with an early check-in and helping me navigate the parking system. Though I never stayed here, I visited relatives who were and have to say this is a beautiful hotel. The last time I was in that building, it was a bank with offices upstairs. I'm absolutely impressed with the amazing architecture that was preserved and can be seen throughout the hotel. When I arrived, while waiting for my relatives to come down from their rooms, I had a chance to use a restroom in the lower lobby and they preserved the bank vault as a meeting room. Very clever and very nice! I noticed zero cell signal in the lower lobby, which is okay unless you need your cell for those meeting rooms or to stream music while working out in the fitness center. My relatives enjoyed their stay. They enjoyed the convenience to the inner harbor, they said the valet parking rate was a little high at $35 per overnight. I agree its a little high, though most hotels in the area I noted signs that indicated high overnight parking rates, so this is probably in line with the area and the way things have increased in price around the inner harbor. The breakfast area looked very nice. Plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas in the lobby area. They had a little store with some wine and beer, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. It was nice, though small. All in all, its a nice hotel in a great location. Highly recommend checking it out, especially if you are a big fan of older buildings with impressive architecture. read more

Had a wonderful weeks stay at this Marriott in Baltimore near the inner Harbor. The location was great! Lesson I learned was don't rent a car because parking is a nightmare and you can walk or Uber to anything. Valet here was almost $30 a day but that is typical of downtown. You had to call for car 30 minutes before you needed and when I asked why so long they told me they had to get the car from a few blocks away. The staff was very friendly and recommended some good restaurants. They even let me know about the free shuttles that would take you to the restaurants. Hotel had a historic feel but had definitely been remodeled and update. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. I love the convenience of a fridge and microwave inside room. Complimentary water also given. The stay included free breakfast each morning. I loved the fresh fruit offerings daily, especially the strawberries. Coffee was decent but not piping hot like I enjoy. Room was kept clean. Something different here is they offered free sweet treats each day. I tried several of the different gourmet lollipops. I stay at a whole lot of Marriotts, and this hotel is one of the better facilities that I've stayed at under the Courtyard/SpringHill/Residence Inn/Fairfield banners. The first, and probably the best, reason which sets it apart is that it's unique - it's not a cookie cutter hotel. The building was converted from an old bank to this Springhill Suites and it looks like it. They kept all of the charm and look and it all comes together nicely. You can even see the old bank vault if you walk downstairs (from the lobby). I posted a picture of it in case you want to check it out. The second is the fact that it is a five minute walk from the Inner Harbor - FIVE MINUTES! Believe you me, I try not to patronize the chain restaurants there, but I sure love walking around the water, checking out the skyline, and visiting the aquarium. It's beautiful. The third takes into account the first two - the price. This hotel is cheap for what you get in the location get it in. Last year when I stayed there I paid $115/night, and this year I paid $145/night. C'mon now, those prices are awesome for only being two blocks from the Inner Harbor and staying at an attractive hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the happy hour specials at the bar cannot be beat (see my "tip"), the rooms are nice - two wall mounted flat screens, mini fridge, and microwave. I have been staying here, and will continue to stay here on every trip to Baltimore. read more

I love this brand and have stayed at many. The decor of the building is amazing as it was an old bank. The room was comfortable minus the fact that the tv couldn't be turned (no biggie). The smell of weed was overwhelming in our hall when we came back from a comedy show a few blocks away and the yelling was annoying. Staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe it was just a bad experience but I've never had the smell and noise at any of their other hotels. On a plus note you can walk everywhere and the neighborhood is friendly. read more

Disappointed in our stay. First of all the whole floor smelled like weed as did our room. Second of all one of the main lights didn't work. Third, there was foreign substances on one of the towels and a wrapper left in the hairdryer bag. Would not stay here again. read more

Pretty basic older property as far as the rooms and amenities and elevators are concerned. I stayed in a regular King Suite and it was pretty standard except this property DOES feature some dope old school large frame windows. The rooms also have the old bathroom/tub combo that I'm starting to hate now. (Sidebar: I think all hotels should offer upgraded modern glass shower only options for people like me who never take a bath #ShowerOnlyGang). The sink, fridge and microwave in-room is a plus because you can either bring food or save leftovers for snacking. Anyway the great thing is that this location comes with breakfast. Waffles station, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, juices, etc. They had this fancy Vanilla Agave syrup at the waffle station next to the regular syrup. I tried the Vanilla Agave and let's just say, I'll NEVER use pedestrian regular blue agave again!! Ever. I already had non-maple syrup so now my syrup snob game has been elevated! The TERRIBLE thing about this location is that there's no viable long term parking options, except for the valet which comes in at a WHOPPING $35!!!! That's CRAZY! I mean sheesh.. they should give you a cocktail and foot rub with breakfast too since you have to pay so much for valet; or alternatively keep feeding the street meters. That's a big deal because it interrupts your comfort. If the Valet was $20 cool. $35 is price-gouging. Period. Anyway, this property was one of the cheapest nightly rates near the harbor so it's probably still the best value on the aread even with the parking foolery. read more

Stayed here last night (6.19.18) and woke up covereddddd in bites. Probably 40-50 lumps all over my body. Bedbugs or something even worse. Front desk was completely worthless, offered me nothing. At least offer to do my damn laundry. Instead they told me they would refund my 2nd night and I could walk to another hotel. Are you serious? At least pass me a room! I once was passed a room for a broken toilet. Trust me when I say I'd rather a broken toilet then bedbugs. Management is worthless. Goodbye Marriott, washing my hands clean of you after this. read more

I've stayed at many of the hotels in the Baltimore area and most of the chain hotels downtown. I checked in for several days with three coworkers and stayed a few nights here at the Spring Hill suites. We found the rooms very spacious and clean. The front desk staff, the valets, and the other staff that we ran into in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. This is a chain hotel with a little bit of character. My traveling companions and all I all have decided that we had an excellent stay here and will stay here again in the future. This is an incredible bargain - and bargains are harder and harder to find in Baltimore. read more

Stay away! If you're yearning to a hostel experience, fine, but otherwise don't stay there! We were there from 11/21 to 11/27, and not once was the room cleaned! We asked for toiletries and they brought us miscellaneous items that were a mismatch of whatever! I am a Marriott Gold Elite member but got no upgrade, no fast internet, nothing! Breakfast was included, if you like eggs that taste like toothpaste! The first night they put us in a disgusting room (I will spare you the details), and I had to complain to Marriott and to the hotel to be moved to an ok room. I called front desk 3 times for extra pillows and a blanket, but got nothing! I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea! Mind you, I paid $95 per night when other hotels were charging $75. And $35 per night for the car! Never Again! I'm so so so disappointed! read more

This is a pretty decent hotel with it being an old bank. When we arrived, the ladies at the front desk were pleasant and made the check in process smooth. Although we didn't get the room I had originally booked when we arrived at 3, an hour before standard check in, they were able to give us another room within 15 min. The room is clean with 2 queens and a sitting area. Breakfast time starts at 6:30 that runs till 9. As with many of their suite hotels, complimentary breakfast includes eggs, waffles, fruits, etc. There is ample space to sit and eat. The fitness room was sparsely equipped and my friend was not happy. At check out, they didn't have enough luggage carts so they had to borrow one from the hotel across the street. Also we had to wait like 25 min to get our car from valet, which is $35/night. read more

Came here for a quick visit. Nothing really negative to say here. Yes, it's an older building and has been renovated...but this place is clean and simple. And when it comes to hotel rooms, cleaniness is most important to me. Customer service was pleasant. And what else could I ask for? I didn't get a chance to see the gym which is one of the reasons why I booked this place. So yeah, decent pricing considering the harbor, clean, simple, and good customer service...a Marriott fan? Then why not give this place a shot. read more
