The facilities were clean and neat from the lobby to the room we stayed in. Most importantly, the customer service was excellent. Our reservation for 4 adults was booked through a 3rd party which was promptly found and our check-in was quick. We enjoyed the complimentary cookies and water after our late night arrival! When the first room did not meet our expectations, we received prompt and efficient service with a sincere apology and an immediate "fix" from the Assistant General Manager, Darius Mullen! He even took time to converse with our daughter, that it was busy because of Hampton's graduation, and their common interest in the area. When we needed an additional towel the next morning-before Housekeeping had started, Mr. Mullen came through. When we checked out, Mr. Mullen extended thanks and invited us back! He could have, like other experiences we've had with "chain hotels", treated us with mundane business service, but he was genuinely interested in making sure we had a pleasant stay-no matter that it was just overnight! His assistance gave us a sense of calm after a long drive side a sad occasion. We hope Mr. Darius Mullen receives this review.

I booked a two-night stay on April 14 at approximately 10:00 a.m. for a work trip. Due to my work event being canceled, I canceled the reservation the same evening around 8:00 p.m.--within hours of booking. Despite this, I was charged a $169 cancellation fee, which is more than the cost of a single night. I was told this was "policy," and my request to reduce the fee was denied. Even more concerning, I was refused the opportunity to speak with a manager. Charging such a high cancellation fee within the same day of booking--especially under these circumstances--is unreasonable. The lack of customer support and refusal to escalate the issue made this one of the worst service experiences I've had. I strongly caution others about booking through their third-party reservation partners, as you may be subject to excessive fees and no meaningful customer support

My family (wife, two young sons and one teenage son) came and stayed in early January, 2025. This…read morehotel was very easy to find as it was right off the highway. The parking lot was well-lit and overall had a very safe feel to it with a lot of convenient parking available. As it is located directly across the street from Arundel Mills Mall, it is very close to entertainment, shopping and a vast array of restaurants to satisfy almost any palete. Upon walking in to the beautifully decorated and clean lobby, we were met by a very welcoming and friendly front-desk employee who was eager to assist us with our reservation. The luggage cart was readily available, clean and well maintained and handled our luggage with ease. As we arrived at Room 304, the key-card worked flawlessly the first time (and every time throughout the entire 3-night stay). When we first walked in, it was obvious that the house-keeping staff at this hotel takes their jobs very seriously, as the room was emaculately cleaned and well stocked with all toiletries, towels, coffee, tea, linens, and waste-paper liners. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the water pressure was as strong as it was in the sink and shower as we were staying on the third floor. The in-room entertainment center was very easy and intuitive. Connecting our personal streaming services was easy to do to keep the kiddos entertained between adventures away from the hotel. Plus, on the mornings before leaving for our daily adventures in the immediate area, we indulged in the delicious breakfast that offered a wide variety of breakfast foods. The only gripe that I really have with this hotel was the indoor pool area. My youngest two sons were looking forward to using the facilities during the entire drive up to Maryland, and while they did, in fact, have a great time in the pool and spa, my wife and I were overly concerned during their entire activity due to the material that was used to make the pool deck, tile. It was extremely slippery, and I almost fell multiple times despite walking very carefully. Luckily, noone in my party was injured. Further, the spa, while nice and hot (100º F water according to my Apple Watch), the jets in the spa were inoperable during our visit, so it felt more like I was sitting in a chorinated bath rather than a hot tub. Even with all that, when we arrived at the pool there were only 5 towels available on the rack. As we were drying off and getting ready to return to our room, another couple arrived, and I warned them of the danger of the slippery surfaces and informed them that I would alert the front desk employee of the lack of available towels. Upon hearing the news, the front-desk attendant was very apologetic and accommodating, immediately getting up to correct the problem. Despite the pool area, I would 100% recommend this hotel to any traveler passing through Hanover, MD.

Bathroom had no meaningful exhaust fan so it got super steamy and wet everywhere. Chairs in lobby run down and frayed fabric everywhere. Lobby printer did not work. Towel service/house keeping in rooms is not every day so the wet atmosphere in the bathrooms is extra gross. On the positive side, the staff were nice and friendly but we won't be staying here again.

Behind the bar, you can count on Fitz (Fitzroy), what an amazing gentleman, bartender, and server. Great service every night I was there, very friendly and engaging. Made it awesome! Shout out to Winston too, he made a great martini. Food was good; the Rueben was amazing, like seriously, very zesty Russian dressing on it really made set it apart, tender corned beef. Crab cake was good too, not great though. Didn't get to use the pool or gym while I was there, under repair, so that was a bummer, but didn't have a whole lot of time to anyway. Highly recommend though, I will definitely be back. Again, wicked close to the airport (obviously) but you can get downtown BAL in 20 minutes from here, it's perfect!

Man... the are some of the worst and the fact they actually use king pillows in the king room make it worse. I had them stacked like a 3x3 from In and Out burger and my head was still close to the mattress with the pillows curling up to cover my ears... terrible. Despite Pillowgate, this hotel was pretty good. They have a decent restaurant/bar in the lobby, a concierge lounge for Platinum and up members, and a hotel shuttle. The lounge had breakfast and evening snacks which was nice. And coffee, water, and soda pop all day long (till they close at 10p). The bed was comfortable and the shower felt like someone put a grate on a fire hydrant, which was a refreshing change from the trickle I've experienced. in many hotel... and the showers in those hotels was weak too. I'd stay here again if I needed to be close to BWI. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice, although not the most modern. I'd make this 5 stars if they had better pillows!
