The Springhill Suites hotel is conveniently located just off of I-75 on the outskirts of Northern Chattanooga. The king room was very spacious, offering a sitting area with desk, mini fridge, fold out sofa, and coffee pot. The bath was adequate with a large shower. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast area was well-equipped, offering an assortment of hot food options, along with a waffle bar, pastry area, fresh fruit, cereals, and yogurts. The desk staff were welcoming and friendly. There are several local restaurants nearby, too. Overall, a very reasonably priced stay, with good amenities, and tasty breakfast. read more

Room was clean. Liked the trundle bed/ sleeper sofa. Easy access to the interstate. Only issue was the shower door stuck and rather than refill shampoo, conditioner and body wash they stuck new bottles next to the empty ones. Not a big deal as we were only staying one night. read more

We enjoyed everything about the Springhill Suites in Chattanooga North/Ooltewah EXCEPT the bed. The hotel was clean, breakfast was great and water was fabulously hot. The bed, though, was rock hard. There were a few layers of padding which separated under specific pressure points until there was no padding left. We took out all extra sheets and blankets and laid them down, but were both very sore the next morning. The only other thing I would mention is the frosted glass door separating the bath/shower and the main room. Looks really nice and cool, but if you aren't the first one out of bed in the morning, you are done for. The light comes right across the bed and you can't "close the door" on it, because the door isn't solid. Staff was very nice. read more

What a nice welcome. The staff here are excellent, and could not do enough for us. The restaurant bar was nice and introduced us to Chattanooga brown ale. Food was plentiful and excellent value. Dirty. The building is older and room's seriously lack some cleaning. Lots of stains on the walls and very dirty behind the bed, it didn't appear to be a mess left by a previous guest, this looked like prolonged neglect. Also, when we booked online we selected a single bed room and upon arrival were told there were none available and were given a double queen room, which is fine but just not what we reserved. Why select a room if it's not going to matter when you arrive anyway? I will say though the bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. read more

BEDBUGS!!! In all my years of traveling, I have never once encountered bedbugs. Until we went here! At this Marriott's Spring Hill Suites, imagine my outrage! There is not anything much worse than sleeping at a hotel and being bitten up as you sleep. We showered just before bed, so bedbugs must like clean, sweet skin. How disgusting. Ugh . . . Both my Daughter and I were bitten all night by bedbugs and woke up with bites all over our legs, arms and backs. I reported the disgusting, creepy and panic-inducing event to the front desk personnel promptly the next morning. I spoke calmly, quietly and respectfully, insisting that management should handle this serious issue. Guess what? Yep, you guessed it. Management was no where to be found. So I left the issue into incapable, uncaring hands. They agreed to move us to another room. I was concerned about contaminated suitcases, and the clothes that filled them. They insisted they would take care of everything. So we went about our day, which was to look for a home in Chattanooga. We had planned three days to look in this area. Did I mention this hotel makes you pre-pay your ENTIRE stay? Yep, I had already prepaid for three nights. Red flag number one. The timeline of events that followed is shameful. The Marriott Corporation will be hearing about this, but with what I'm hearing about the current state of the Marriott brand, they take NO ISSUE seriously, even bedbugs. Their bottom line is the value of Marriott stocks! I have no other recourse but to Yelp You with a one-star review. The General Manager, Brandon Shackelford, refuses to refund my $286.23, even after an email documenting that the night manager, Darnell, insured my three prepaid nights would be refunded. Even though they took no action, didn't help move us from that room until 9 hours later (we did all the work), didn't inspect that specific room (as the attached ROUTINE report shows ALL rooms were given a once-over, and their report shows even food services inspection. We had to wash all our own clothes, as is necessary in these instances, as such: Wash all clothing for at least 45 minutes in very hot water, and Dry clothing for at least 45 minutes on high heat, to kill any bedbugs or eggs. No inspection was done on the suitcases. We discarded them. Think about that!!! Marriott only cares about ripping someone off when THEIR hotel has an infestation of bedbugs. And then they will flat out deny it. I did a little digging and found a Google forum with multiple complaints from people from all over the country about bedbug infestations at Marriott hotels. I will never stay at another Marriott again, or any of their related brands because of the mistreatment we received from this Spring Hill Suites by Brandon Shackelford, General Manager. Mr. Shackelford refuses to refund my money. He even refuses to acknowledge the Hell we went through at his hotel, admit the rude treatment we received from his employees and from him, and that this hotel has a bedbug problem he refuses to admit. Admitting it is the first step. To B. Shackleford's response: Brandon Shackelford is in denial. I never met the guy, and was never told the room test results. The grainy report he sent me here (after I pressed him) is a general routinely scheduled inspection report. It even speaks of kitchen sanitation and building structure, ie, 'routine report'. He claims he had to spend extra money to have subject room inspected when the report doesn't even mention the BEDBUG room anywhere on the report. He didn't do a special inspection for us, and certainly didn't even inspect or clean our luggage; they just moved us. We had to wash all our own clothes, they didn't even assist with that action or compensate us for having to use their coin-operated machines. His night manager Darnell was told by Shackelford to just keep placating us to make us believe we'd be compensated. If B.S. would just tell the truth and refund my money like Darnell said they would, this review wouldn't have had to be written. God forbid that this horrible truth about this hotel gets out! Imagine that, folks. Even Marriotts are not exempt from BEDBUGS. read more

I've been to a springshill before and Wow! I was not expecting much at all. But they have really outdone themselves. The room is huge. You can easily have 4 people sleep here in a 1 bed room. There's a little desk area, closet, a rack over the AC unit, swivel TV. Microwave, fridge, and Saran wrapped paper plates. I am shocked by all the amenities and how large the room is. Also free breakfast. It's close to many fast food restaurants and everyone here has been so accommodating. read more

Very very clean!, all of the staff were extremely nice. The breakfast was REALLY GOOD! The 2 ladies especially the blonde who kept the items on the bar filled etc was extremely kind she definitely gave the warm Mom/grandmother feel as I was putting hot sausage gravy on my biscuit at breakfast. The gentleman in the kitchen was nice as well. The front desk ladies upon check in and out were incredibly nice. Hats off to housekeeping honestly probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in other than 1 or 2 very expensive resorts. The shower was hot and the bed was perfect. 100% A+. read more

Stayed here for three nights for a wedding with a king bed. Pros: Room was nice/clean Location was good Employees were friendly Breakfast included - I tried the bacon and scrambled eggs. Grabbed a banana and pastry on the way out for the trip back home. Overall, in my opinion, the breakfast service was very good. Cons: No housekeeping service during the stay (including my parents room) Restaurant-worst ribeye steak I've ever had; sever said "sorry" - after paying ($103 for three people) we left and went to Chick-fil-A No room service After the wedding event (on a Saturday), returning to the hotel before 9:30 pm, the bar was closed Other: Average cost/night = $190 (including taxes, etc) For these reasons, I would give a 3.5/5 read more

Nice hotel! I am picky about having a clean nice hotel room and this one was a good fit. It was dusty behind the furniture but all surfaces appeared clean. It was nice and large with an oversized couch, desk area, refrigerator, entertainment center, a large bathroom and 2 queen beds. The hotel is new and very clean and with a friendly staff however, 2 issues with my brief stay. #1 - I am a Platinum Elite Marriott member so I've stayed in many Springhill Suites, while the room is spacious and comparable to other Marriott properties, the beds here were not comfortable at all. They were not up to Marriott standards, my back even hurt when i woke up. #2 - This is not the hotel's fault, but i wanted to mention it for other weary travelers passing though. When the address online is typed into iPhone GPS it takes you to a residential area like 10 miles from the actual hotel! I made my reservation while driving late at night and the 30 extra minutes of driving into a residential area wasn't really what i was wanting to do at midnight! Ha. I had to call the hotel and they have me a different address to use for GPS, which led me to the hotel, that was located about a 1/4 mile from the highway exit i had come from initially! Again, not the hotel's fault, just a warning! read more

This was one of my favorites. They gave us a room that wasn't on the first floor! They had a fire pit, a pool, and a bar. There was a light for the bed and a button for the curtains my sister and I made a show. The bathroom was big and the breakfast was delicious. read more

This was the first time we stayed at a SpringHill Suite but I hope it's not the last. The room was amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom format was different than any other Hotel I had stayed at but it was a very good design. The room had a tremendous number of USB connectors to allow us to charge all of our devices simultaneously as well as having enough electrical outlets to plug in anything else we might need. It was one of the best rooms for travelers that I've ever seen. It comes with a free breakfast and all rolled up it was a very good value. read more

The hotel itself looks ok going in and by that I mean everything is just ok. It's not terrible but definitely not great either. We booked several rooms and between them what we found was: Housekeeping is lacking, it was inconsistent in each room. There were stains on different things in every room (gross). The shower sounds like a freight train and the water changes temperature and pressure constantly. Oh and there is a freight train too, but they do provide you with two sets of ear plugs so that's something. One room smelled pretty stale which I'm not sure what that was about. Amazing. Josh was awesome when I called to ask for a pack and play and very helpful when I checked in later that night. Great floorplan and the couch/daybed has a trundle bed too! This hotel is fairly new, but we stayed last year due to a conference in the area. I swear the room still smelled new! The rooms are so much larger than most I've stayed in before, and there's a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker in the room. The hot breakfast in the lobby area is delicious and there was lots of options, just about anything you could want for breakfast. I think I ate too much it was so good. This hotel has a restaurant that has American food selections. We ordered the fried mushrooms and the fried pickles for appetizers, and the portions were huge. My husband had a burger he said was the most delicious burger he'd ever eaten. Busy area off the highway, but was easy to get in and out. We will definitely stay here again! read more

We stayed here 12/14/19-12/16/19. Our experience was mixed. The pros: It's a beautiful place. Seems new, and the lobby area is nice. We had a king room, and it is well planned. There is a nice sitting area with a two-bed couch; the couch is a bed and it has a cool trundle bed that slides out as well. The bath is nice as well. The cons: The bed. OMG the bed was truly uncomfortable. And I'm someone that can generally sleep anywhere. We switched rooms, and the new bed was as bad or worse. The bed feels like a 3" topper on a piece of plywood, and by the end of the night you have settled onto a solid surface. Maybe it's just me, but be warned. The train. There is a train that comes through several times a night and whistles. It's loud enough to hear in the room, and the hotel supplies ear plugs because of it. On the other hand, the room we switched to was on the other side of the hall, and we didn't hear it at all the second night. So, ask for a room on the parking lot/interstate side. Another plus, they were very nice about switching our rooms, and let us checkout a day early without paying for the third night we had reserved. read more

This is literally one of the best mid priced hotels I have ever been to... The staff at late you can stay pleasant and helpful I felt like she was a friend that had known for years... Room clean- comfortable, air-conditioner worked wonderfully! Tech for spotless clean and neat act like a great variety of fresh options along with self made waffles and hot option in chafing dishes. And rave fridge raider and microwave a nice touch, it was even in the microwave some paper plates and prepackaged utensils and napkins! Went downstairs to the breakfast area to bring up food to my daughter and the nice helpful lady working the breakfast area offered to Get me a tray to make it easier To take the food upstairs! The hallways were clean and spacious ... They were air-conditioned , I've noticed a lot of hotels are not having air flowing through the hallways but this one was and I appreciated that!
