    Wall behind vanity stained

Dirty. The building is older and room's seriously lack some cleaning. Lots of stains on the walls and very dirty behind the bed, it didn't appear to be a mess left by a previous guest, this looked like prolonged neglect. Also, when we booked online we selected a single bed room and upon arrival were told there were none available and were given a double queen room, which is fine but just not what we reserved. Why select a room if it's not going to matter when you arrive anyway? I will say though the bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable.

Routine Inspection Report of entire hotel. Brandon Shackleford claims he had to pay for a "special" inspection of our BEDBUG room. Pffftt!

BEDBUGS!!! In all my years of traveling, I have never once encountered bedbugs. Until we went here! At this Marriott's Spring Hill Suites, imagine my outrage! There is not anything much worse than sleeping at a hotel and being bitten up as you sleep. We showered just before bed, so bedbugs must like clean, sweet skin. How disgusting. Ugh . . . Both my Daughter and I were bitten all night by bedbugs and woke up with bites all over our legs, arms and backs. I reported the disgusting, creepy and panic-inducing event to the front desk personnel promptly the next morning. I spoke calmly, quietly and respectfully, insisting that management should handle this serious issue. Guess what? Yep, you guessed it. Management was no where to be found. So I left the issue into incapable, uncaring hands. They agreed to move us to another room. I was concerned about contaminated suitcases, and the clothes that filled them. They insisted they would take care of everything. So we went about our day, which was to look for a home in Chattanooga. We had planned three days to look in this area. Did I mention this hotel makes you pre-pay your ENTIRE stay? Yep, I had already prepaid for three nights. Red flag number one. The timeline of events that followed is shameful. The Marriott Corporation will be hearing about this, but with what I'm hearing about the current state of the Marriott brand, they take NO ISSUE seriously, even bedbugs. Their bottom line is the value of Marriott stocks! I have no other recourse but to Yelp You with a one-star review. The General Manager, Brandon Shackelford, refuses to refund my $286.23, even after an email documenting that the night manager, Darnell, insured my three prepaid nights would be refunded. Even though they took no action, didn't help move us from that room until 9 hours later (we did all the work), didn't inspect that specific room (as the attached ROUTINE report shows ALL rooms were given a once-over, and their report shows even food services inspection. We had to wash all our own clothes, as is necessary in these instances, as such: Wash all clothing for at least 45 minutes in very hot water, and Dry clothing for at least 45 minutes on high heat, to kill any bedbugs or eggs. No inspection was done on the suitcases. We discarded them. Think about that!!! Marriott only cares about ripping someone off when THEIR hotel has an infestation of bedbugs. And then they will flat out deny it. I did a little digging and found a Google forum with multiple complaints from people from all over the country about bedbug infestations at Marriott hotels. I will never stay at another Marriott again, or any of their related brands because of the mistreatment we received from this Spring Hill Suites by Brandon Shackelford, General Manager. Mr. Shackelford refuses to refund my money. He even refuses to acknowledge the Hell we went through at his hotel, admit the rude treatment we received from his employees and from him, and that this hotel has a bedbug problem he refuses to admit. Admitting it is the first step. To B. Shackleford's response: Brandon Shackelford is in denial. I never met the guy, and was never told the room test results. The grainy report he sent me here (after I pressed him) is a general routinely scheduled inspection report. It even speaks of kitchen sanitation and building structure, ie, 'routine report'. He claims he had to spend extra money to have subject room inspected when the report doesn't even mention the BEDBUG room anywhere on the report. He didn't do a special inspection for us, and certainly didn't even inspect or clean our luggage; they just moved us. We had to wash all our own clothes, they didn't even assist with that action or compensate us for having to use their coin-operated machines. His night manager Darnell was told by Shackelford to just keep placating us to make us believe we'd be compensated. If B.S. would just tell the truth and refund my money like Darnell said they would, this review wouldn't have had to be written. God forbid that this horrible truth about this hotel gets out! Imagine that, folks. Even Marriotts are not exempt from BEDBUGS.

Nice hotel! I am picky about having a clean nice hotel room and this one was a good fit. It was dusty behind the furniture but all surfaces appeared clean. It was nice and large with an oversized couch, desk area, refrigerator, entertainment center, a large bathroom and 2 queen beds. The beds are pretty firm and I am not sure how comfortable it will be after a nights sleep.

This was one of my favorites. They gave us a room that wasn't on the first floor! They had a fire pit, a pool, and a bar. There was a light for the bed and a button for the curtains my sister and I made a show. The bathroom was big and the breakfast was delicious.

    Dirty

Not pleased at all ! The room was dirty . The pull out bed had pee stains . Room was not cleaned well at all . The night Clerk was helpful and very apologetic . The day time lady was rude . She acted as she didn't care at all . I would hate for another family to book a room and find such a mess as we did .

Check in was smooth and the person checking me in was really nice. But what I liked the most.. is that they have happy hour EVERYDAY!! The room and common areas were all clean. They even had an outside deck lounge area. Overall good experience.

I came to Chattanooga expecting the usual hotel math: decent room, forgettable hallway carpet, and…read morea breakfast that somehow tastes beige. Instead, Embassy Suites decided to flex. From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!

Where do I begin?!? We've had problems since we checked in. Problem #1 ants in the living room…read morearea. Problem #2 the mattress on the pullout bed was horrible!! You could feel the spring coming through the cloth. #3 there was no sheets, quilts/ comforters do the pullout bed. We had to go downstairs to get some. #4 the phone was not working in our room so we could not call downstairs to request ANYTHING! #5 we asked for our room to be cleaned/ bed changed new towel etc... We came back to the room and nothing was cleaned and we had no sheets etc....on our bed. #6~I'm writing this review as I sit here and witness so many guests who have not paid, enter the pool area with their children half way supervised. The adults are on the patio while the kids are running around. When we walked in there was a female attendant at the desk. I was waiting until she finished talking ( it seemed as if she was talking to another coworker) and then she stops and just stares at me. I wanted to inquire about our room that had ants and wanted to know if it had been taken care of. While I'm talking I see a group of people walking behind me. When the attendant finished speaking with me she goes and hug one of the people in the large party, and they head straight for the pool. We go upstairs to change and come back down to a pool and patio area full of people. It's over 15 kids (excluding my 2) in the pool with only 2 adults supervising. The rest are outside sitting, listening to music, playing football. I'm assuming this is a birthday party because someone just brought in some balloons. I didn't think hotels had birthday party's like this. More kids are coming and now it's only 1 adult watching all these kids. A father and son just came down to go swimming and in a matter of seconds they change their mind and turn around. Also, we were unable to control the temperature of the refrigerator so therefore the items we bought to put in the refrigerator never got cold. There was a sign saying that the ice machine was on the third and seventh floor. I went to go get ice and there was a out of order sign saying to go to the barn to get ice. I went to the bar to get ice and the bartender informed me to look to the right if I wanted to get some ice, and there was a tub with ice in it with a Scooper in it. Think of all the germs. People use the scoopers with their bare hands and put it back in the ice for you to consume this hotel has got to do better. Also, if you're allergic to cats stay clear of this place. Cats are roaming in the lobby of the building. When we woke up Sunday morning there were ants crawling in the stand where the tv is. Housekeeping does not come everyday. The trash cans remained full all weekend and we had to use shopping bags to put trash in. If you're looking for a nice hotel to stay in, please stay clear of this one!

No noise insulation. Could hear way too much from the room. I did call down to front desk and asked…read morethem to tell neighbors to calm the hell down, which they eventually did. Absolutely horrid breakfast. Don't bother. It was so bad. Garish lights everywhere pointing down and overall nasty vibe.
