Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel and definitely would stay again. It was a bit annoying that myself and my associates could not enjoy each other's company on the comfy, quiet, patio. They were quick to kick us out early, but did nothing about the obnoxious drunks in the front lobby. Right next to the "no outside" alcohol sign as they drank enough to drown a fish! Highly recommend. But hope they relax the patio time.

I booked this hotel because a family member was getting married in the area, and this particular property had a special block of rooms for the wedding guests. We really needed the room so my makeup artist could do our makeup and so we could change into our wedding attire. We originally planned to stay the night, but once I saw the condition of the room, that plan quickly changed. We got dressed, attended the wedding, came back later that evening, grabbed our belongings and checked OUT! The room was dated, dimly lit and just felt and smelled old. The refrigerator was turned off, and we couldn't figure out how to turn it on. The room was also incredibly stuffy. I adjusted the air conditioning, but no matter how low I set it, the room never really cooled down. Then there was the view from our room. We faced the hotel courtyard, which could have been a nice feature, except there was trash sitting outside near the sliding glass doors of the various rooms facing the courtyard. It was very obvious that this area was not being maintained or cleaned regularly. If guests can see it from their rooms, it should absolutely be cleaned. It looked terrible. The lighting in the room was another issue. It was extremely dark! Thankfully, my makeup artist came prepared with her own lighting because that light was lifesaver. She even stayed after she was done so we could utilize her light to get ready in. What really says it all is that we had every reason to stay. We were dressed for a wedding, exhausted, and ready to call it a night. When we left the reception, it was heavily storming and even that didn't convince us to stay. We went back to the hotel, grabbed our things and checked out. That should tell you everything you need to know. This stay was unfortunately a total fail. The property desperately needs to be remodeled, thoroughly cleaned, maintained and updated ASAP. I understand that not every Marriott is going to be brand-new or luxurious, but there is a difference between an older hotel and a hotel that appears to be outdated. Marriott, please do better. Your guests deserve clean, comfortable, well-maintained rooms and this property missed the mark by a mile.

The hotel staff was courteous and got us checked-in in no time. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen attached to the living room seemed good for families with kids & elders to make a quick meal or heat up leftovers on the pan. Reasonably priced and if you're an IHG member, you get points. We didn't experience any issues at all and actually this was one of the stress-free hotels my husband & I stayed at. Highly recommend it.

I called and informed them and they said they would "investigate" and call me back. About an hour later they called me to tell me they only charged once, I explained to them that I was looking at both charges in my account and they just denied it. I called my bank and they confirmed I was double charged so I opened up a fraudulent charge claim against them. STEER CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL. They are crooks and will most likely try to rip you off as well. Plenty of better options in the Fairfax area.
