We did arrive a couple of hours early, and even with the inconvenience, the woman at the front desk was very apologetic and tried her best to see if we could get checked in early and into our room. Her manager was there on his day off trying to get everything back up and running, and he even offered us a free room for the inconvenience, which we truly appreciated. I never got anyone's names, but everyone who worked there was so lovely. The entire staff was accommodating, kind, and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here, and I also loved their complimentary breakfast. I usually never eat hotel breakfast, but this one was actually delicious. Thank you again to the staff. Each and every one of you made our stay pleasant.

The in-house food center is a circular store with various very expensive selections. This must be Tru's version of a restaurant? No frills. No real customer service. The beds are comfortable, but you can get little sleep because the walls are paper thin. You can hear every footstep of the patrons in the room above yours and the movings about of those in the room next door. Tru hotel is ok if you're only looking to crash somewhere for the night. For example, there were quite a few motorcyclists staying over as they went on a multi-day tour. They came to Tru for a Sleep-and -go. Not my style. I like to enjoy a hotel experience. This hotel is designed for very functional efficiency. Tru is the hostel of The Hilton Line.

While I considered rounding up for the breakfast offerings, I'm rounding down because I didn't have the restful stay that I was hoping for. Pros: - clean hotel with complimentary continental breakfast - decent breakfast spread - scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a protein were served each day. There was pork sausage on one day and bacon on another. There's also a DIY waffle maker, cereal station with a few dispensers, and oatmeal bar with a mix of toppings to add in. On Sunday, there was also French toast sticks (these were dry but you can drown them in syrup). On Monday, instead of French toast sticks, they had hard-boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Both days also had a basket of apples and bananas (the bananas looked much more appealing than the apples). They had a good condiment section (jellies, butter, peanut butter, cream cheese, Nutella, etc.). I also liked that they had salsa and shredded cheese for the eggs. There was also a fridge of milk and yogurt, a juice machine, and coffee and tea station, which included flavored syrups. They do take the coffee away after breakfast, but there is a coffee maker in the room. - room had a microwave and mini fridge, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. No safe. - fitness center and pool are included amenities. There was also a computer in the lobby for their "business center" - luggage carts were easily available - plenty of parking available - good location near several shops and other shopping areas Cons: - check-in is at 3pm. We came around 4:30 pm and the room (executive suite) was still not ready. They estimated a 45-60 minute wait. We debated unloading the car, sitting in the lobby and waiting, but decided to leave and check out the shops nearby. The hotel didn't offer anything for the inconvenience, only their "apologies." - Super uncomfortable beds! I did not get restful sleep at this hotel. I felt like I was sleeping on a cot (it's not ~ I checked... but you could have fooled me...) - minimal toiletries available. Aside from the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner pumps in the shower, the only toiletries on the counter were one make-up remover wipe and a cleansing bar. No lotion, supplemental facial soap, mouthwash, etc. - water from the water station in the fitness center tasted stale - front desk staff was not super present. Whenever I was in the lobby, the front desk space was often vacant. We didn't have any issues to address, but staff did not seem very accessible The property is nice overall and the facilities are clean. Call it a princess and the pea scenario, but these beds are not for me.

One of the reasons I gave it 2 stars is that for breakfast, they only have Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Of course, I passed on that offer. Choice Hotels and Holiday Inns (where I've been a frequent stay member for 20+ years) have been going downhill for me for several years, and my Wyndham (Days Inn, Howard Johnson's, Ramada Inn, Super 8, TraveLodge) frequent stay club membership is basically useless since the points are erased after a few months of inactivity. As a fairly regular traveler for business and pleasure, I am just looking for a clean, affordable place to hang my hat for a night or two. Marriotts, Hiltons/Hampton Inns, Hyatts are not needed for my basic needs. This BW location off Sudley Road and I-66 in Manassas is in a motel/hotel hub. At least 5 other motels/hotels at this exit. This Best Western was probably built in the 1970s based on its design (the "courtyard" design that was popular in the '70s and early '80s), and the bathroom was woefully dated (and the tub was kind of gross). But I suspect the bathrooms will be renovated soon as the rest of the rooms are being renovated. The rooms are quiet, because of the outdoor courtyard design, with exterior entrances. There is a cute little pool in the courtyard too. The staff was efficient and friendly. The bed super comfortable. Despite the small bathroom area with a small sink, the room itself (at least the king-size room I had) has a larger sink in the main room. The biggest flat screen TV I've seen in a budget hotel. If you are visiting Manassas for battlefield tours, this is a perfect place for a family stay. The rooms are clean and it won't break the bank.

They made a requested late check-in, into a big deal and they voided my second day, because I checked in late, when I specifically informed them of my late arrival, but they did not have an issue getting paid for the stay. Furthermore, the door is locked after a certain time and you have to wait to be let in so that you can go to your room, that action made me not want to go out because I like to come and go as I please, not have to ask permission to go out!! I also felt I was catfished by the pictures of the pool online and what was the actual pool, it looks seedy and probably has algae growing in it, and it's an indoor pool, I've never stayed at a Comfort Suites, and don't think I'll ever stay at another one. I've stayed at a lot of motels, here and abroad and I overlook basic things, but this was a little bit much, so you've been warned about this place, stay at your own risk!!!

Check-in was easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite that had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a common living and kitchen area between them. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove, oven, and microwave, which was very convenient, especially for a longer stay. The layout provided plenty of room and allowed everyone to have some privacy while still having a common area to spend time together. The hotel also has a workout room, pool, and laundry room. We did have a few issues that kept this from being a five-star stay. The doors to both bathrooms were surprisingly difficult to open and close and could definitely use some adjustment or maintenance. We also had an issue in the laundry room. One of the front-loading washers was apparently not working, and when we opened the door, we discovered it was still full of water and some of the water came out onto the floor. We immediately closed the door and reported the problem to the staff. Unfortunately, the water remained on the laundry room floor for several hours before it was cleaned up, which I thought should have been handled much more quickly because of the potential slipping hazard. The laundry was also $4 to wash and another $4 to dry each load, which was higher than several other hotels we have stayed at recently. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay. The large two-bedroom suite, full kitchen, friendly staff, and amenities made it a comfortable place to stay, but some additional attention to maintenance and responding more quickly to problems would make it even better. Enjoy!

I then get a phone call from the front desk asking if I was checking out today (the 15th). I said that my reservation had check out the 16th (it does). She said her system shows otherwise so I have to leave. I told her that I would come to the front desk as I have the app showing the 16th and email confirmation. She didn't care and after several times telling me I had to leave she finally said to come to the front desk. When I got there she had a print out form their system (best western) that says the 15. COMPLETELY CALMLY I explained that there is clearly an issue as my reservation - very clearly states (and she never denied even to her own manager) that my check out is the 16th. I had a Rental Car as well and that was also the 16th with multiple forms of confirmation. I am a IT networking professional out on a business trip - not a scammer. I asked her to contact Expedia - Best Westerns business partner who sent the reservation - and she refused and told her it was my responsibility. She patently refused and by this point was instantly rude and angry. I asked her to call her manager and she refused stating she would absolutely NOT call him, he was sick and didn't care. She told me she would, instead, call the cops (all of this was on at the front desk ON CAMERA so I am speaking with empirical accuracy and everything I am saying can be confirmed). She told me this multiple times and told me she didn't care that my multiple points of confirmation state the 16th; her system said the 15th and that is what she was going to go by and if i didn't leave she would call the cops. I am a legitimate business professional so I stood my ground and told her to contact the manager. Somehow she was instantly able to get the manager on the phone. He told her just to give me the room. This upset her - because she 'lost' her made up battle with a random stranger who never did anything wrong to her ever - so she said F you (the actual word not the letter) to me in front of a couple with a young child (probably 2 years old). I then went to my room and packed up my stuff and left as this is now a SERIOUS legal issue for me. I then drive to a parking lot and contact the manager - I took one of his cards from the front desk - and I tried to call him. He would not pick up (the front desk got him immediately and he is aware of the escalating situation). I then send him a series of texts requesting he reach out, explaining the situation, and stating that this was a significant legal issue that needs to be addressed through proper legal channels. No response. I get in touch with expedia who confirm my check out date was the 16th and who sent me ANOTHER email absolutely confirming the 16th hotel check out at that VERY hotel (he even asked me to provide the room number they gave me) and car return. He puts me on hold to reach out to the very same Best Western to determine what happened. After 5 minutes he tells me that she was unbelievably rude to him, he couldn't believe it, she refused to provide him any information and refused to escalate him to any management. He told me that he was going to personally send in an email to Best Western - from Expedia - because of the way she TREATED HIM; the representative. This is the experience I just had - today - 6/15/26 from this horrendous 'business'.
