This spacious clean cozy hotel room was exactly what we needed after a long day of adventure! The room was large the closet was large the beds were so cozy!! I only wish the bathroom doors weren't sliding barn doors that's always uncomfortable in a tight shared space-limited privacy. Breakfast the following morning was so yummy and the coffee was actually really good! Staff were incredibly helpful at checking and a huge congratulations to the robotics team who were celebrating their big win the night we checked in! Great hotel with great people and amenities! Super Friendly Front Desk, easy parking, plenty of luggage carts. Front lobby looked nice. Everything was super clean, but definitely showing her age, but well maintained. Little things show the wear & tear, but carpets were very well kept Elevator creaks & groans, but definitely clean & no smell (we have been in some that just held a bad aroma). Room was super clean, mattress is due for a rotation, but quiet and a good nights sleep was achieved. Smaller TV than some, and one lamp didn't work. Only one side of bed had a night stand. Bathroom was separate from shower which is nice. Breakfast was good, several choices, only disappointment was fluffy biscuits, but no gravy. I thought it, another hotel guest said it out loud -" It is the South, no gravy for the biscuits???" Stayed here last night and slept soundly ! Beds comfortable and woke up feeling refreshed and regenerated !! It's a nice concept to have the barn doors for the shower and also the toilet which are two different rooms with two different sinks ! Only bad thing is the doors are heavy to move . The breakfast area is located in the lobby area . So because of this the lobby area is very noisy in the morning. This hotel has prepackaged waffles or you can make your own . They have premade croissants with ham and egg sandwiches and also fixings to make your own. They have premade oatmeal and many toppings to add to it. They have milk , chocolate milk,coffee, tea and other drinks also ! Great selection of breakfast here . Staff were pleasant and attentive. This hotel has a pool but we didn't go in it but it looked refreshing . Would we stay here again ? If in area most definitely!! read more

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired. The common areas and rooms were noticeably dirty, which really took away from the overall experience. Comfortable place to stay for one night. The good: Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Great coffee station with specialty items like oat milk. Waffle station was fun for our kids. Great blend of hot items (biscuits, eggs, sausage, grits, oatmeal) and cold items (muffins, croissants, scones, fruit, cereal). The seating area is comfortable and they had two TVs on with family appropriate shows on (cartoons and World Cup soccer). I would have given a 4 star rating if the breakfast had potatoes, gravy and bacon. The indoor pool was a good size, an L-shape with a 5 foot deep end. Plenty of room for multiple families to play and relax. It was also nice to have windows in the pool room so we could see the sunshine. We used the fitness room (treadmill). It's small but has the essentials and no one else was using it while we were in there. The bad: Our room needed some maintenance. The door to the shower room would not close all the way. It was not clear how to turn on the shower either: we had to call the front desk (you have to pull down the nozzle on the faucet). Parts of the carpet were loose or torn. The bedding on each bed was mismatched (sheet sets were different). The fan in the shower room didn't work or turn on. There was no emergency exit route posted in the room. Luckily we didn't need it but it was also odd to not have it ready just in case. read more

Passing through on our way back north. Checked-in with a super friendly and delightful woman at the front desk. Excellent customer service. She was able to give me as a Gold member an upgraded room which was very nice. I am glad we checked in earlier because the poor gal was by herself and the place was very busy. We went through the lobby about 5:30pm and there were at least 6 groups in-line - get this lady some help! The room was very pleasant and big with a nice two part bathroom layout. Also it was the first time I had a hotel shower in a mid-range place that had body jets. I have to get me some of those. The one downside in the room was that the fridge had no freezer section. Also the TV system was not working the whole time - which I was warned about at check-in. At check-out they discounted our rate for this inconvenience which was very appropriate and appreciated. I would recommend getting a room on the side of the hotel away from I-75 - it was quite loud. They had a modified breakfast service which worked just fine. We stayed at SpringHill Suites in Macon, on our way home to Ohio. We like that every room is a suite. This was a enjoyable stay. The front desk staff was very welcoming and was very helpful in answering questions about the area. The hotel is minutes away from an outdoor mall, that includes several restaurants. The only negative was the morning breakfast. The eggs tasted like they had been severely over salted. Otherwise a pleasant stay. read more

I had a very comfortable stay at the Springhill Suites, even with the current COVID-19 pandemic. All employees wore face masks, and they were required when navigating throughout the hotel. Our room was very clean upon arrival, and had its own independent Heating and Cooling Unit. The two beds were very comfortable, as well as the pillows. We checked in at 9:00 at night after a long drive and couldn't have asked for more. Joseph at the front desk was professional, attentive, and had a sense of humor that was very much appreciated. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast was better than any at comparable hotels. To top it off, the price was better than any of the surrounding hotels. We'll search out Springhill Suites for all our future trips. read more

We are just passing through and needed a place to stay. It was pretty inexpensive so sometimes you get what you pay for. The front staff was EXCELLENT and I mean so helpful and cheerful. The bed was clean and comfortable, the room did its job. Cons: The pullout coach is actually a trundle that was filthy. To the point we didn't even think about using it. There were hairs and bugs (not bed bugs) on the mattress. The bathroom door barely locked. The pool door has duct tape on it so it won't lock ‍ The elevator inspection is expired by 3 months. read more

I reserved 2 rooms - one for me and my kids and one for my 74 year old father. We arrived at 11pm and put the luggage in our room then went to car to get our electronics out and came back to room. I went to bed but when my father went to his room, he was locked out. He went to front desk and the key lock malfunctioned so they had to work on it. They initially asked him if he wanted another room but he said his luggage was in that room and he needed his stuff (medicine, toiletries, sleep clothes) and they thought they could just get it unlocked to get his stuff. However by 2am they realized they couldn't get the lock to work so the desk worker told him he could just at least get some sleep in a different room and get his luggage when they get the door open. He had no choice at this point so he laid down in a different bed from 2am - 6am when they called him to come downstairs to get his luggage. So he slept for 4 hours. We were already planning to sleep from 11-7 and be back on the road at 7 so at that point we had to go. We asked them not to charge his card for his room (I of course still paid for my room). The lady was extremely sarcastic and dismissive saying she couldn't just "give" us the room without her managers approval and her manager doesn't work on Sundays and she isn't calling her manager on a Sunday. I told her we weren't asking her to give us anything. We just didn't want them to charge his card for a room he never got but she says bc he laid down on the other bed she is charging him the full amount and we can try to get a refund later. Even the guy working on the door told her it was 2am. She said bc they initially asked if he wanted a different room then he is on the hook for the charge but he just initially thought he was still waiting for his luggage. When the luggage was ready they called him to come down and get it. I understand 100% that there are technical issues and the gentleman working on it was working hard to resolve it. But the audacity of the front desk lady refusing to help or even call a manager beats anything I've ever seen. She was extremely condescending "have a nice day" in a sarcastic way because she lied to the Marriott main customer service when they called her. I'm telling you I have never experienced such a nasty unprofessional customer service worker in any Marriott property ever. This is the first complaint I've ever left on yelp about a Marriott property but it was a horrifying experience for my dad. She 100% had the authority (as confirmed by the Marriott customer service line) to not charge him for the room he never got but she said she was doing it anyway and basically nothing we could do about it. I'm also disappointed that being a Bonvoy elite member didn't even help me get to a person to resolve it. They just said if the hotel charges us all they can do is talk to the GM and wait 72 hours to see if it's refunded. I thought they had more jurisdiction over the Marriott properties. read more

After checking out never received our deposit back. As of now, have been a victim of credit card fraud several months later when my card was charged $120 for Online Walmart orders for 5 cases of laundry detergent and 10 boxes of ice cream bars all of which they sell in the lobby! From this hotel. By name it is a good place to sleep. At the moment I could see that there were only 3 trolleys to carry the luggage from the trolley to the room. Very good beds to rest. The bathroom and happiness were separate. What I did not like is that to open those doors they are very hard you have to make too much effort. The bathroom sooo small. The problem: room has a strange layout. The toilet is it's own small room with no exhaust fan. What? The toilet seat was loose. Not that there was a competition, but I was informed that I took the prize. Another room had the bathtub/shower and sink. The exhaust fan didn't work. I really liked the modern room style which is why i choose this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice. This hotel is pretty pricey based on other hotels in the area but because of the way it looked and the area I chose this one. I wanted something different, not just another hotel. A lot of miscommunication happened even before I checked in and even during my stay. I called the hotel and asked if I could pay my deposit with cash the representative advised that would be fine. When I got there it was a different story so I had to leave and come back because I had to put the money BACK on my card. Once I finally checked in I was pretty happy until the next morning, I was awaken by room service. They were unaware I was staying two days. They apologized and left. The next morning I was disturbed again before my check out time. Ultimately it was a lot of miscommunication and wasn't as peaceful as I would have liked. I contacted the manager and he was able to "correct" the situation. I appreciate the manager for correcting the situation but if the staff weren't so confused my stay could have been a lot better. It's a really nice hotel, I just wish my experience could have been better. If they weren't so expensive I would be more than happy to give them another opportunity but the price tag & past issues makes me think twice. read more

Omg. The bathroom was TERRIBLE!! The commode was separate from the shower and vanity sink. The doors on the bathroom were sliding doors that offered no privacy. In the bedroom you could hear everything going on in the commode which should be the most private of areas!! They could have easily used the large closet to combine the commode and bathroom and add a true secure door. How embarrassing to use the bathroom knowing the other people could here everything. We stayed from 03/14-03/21 a total of 3 adults and 3 kids. We came to look at houses in the Warner Robins area from out of state. We didn't arrive at the hotel until around midnight. We noticed the room was not cleaned properly, all the pictures show how it looked when we first arrived. I didn't take pictures of the tile flooring, but it was sticky and dirty. The sink in the bathroom with the shower was also not draining. Since it was late I went the next day and asked the front desk if we could have the room cleaned because it was not cleaned before us arriving, and that the sink needed to be fixed. Later on the maintenance guy came, but I was in the shower so my husband told him he needed to come back. He never did come back and fix it. The room was not cleaned besides our beds being made everything else was the same. A couple days in after sleeping on the bed it had moved and that's when we had noticed the box spring that appears to have blood or some type of bodily fluids on it. Why not clean it? The first 2 days house cleaning came in and cleaned but after that nothing so Monday the day before we checked out my husband asked a lady cleaning the room next to us if they could come and clean since our room had not been the last 4 days she said she cleaned our room the first 2 days, but then we weren't on her list anymore ( which is weird we never put the do not disturb on our door or told the front desk we didn't want our room cleaned). She said she would come and clean. She came while we went to get something to eat and look at more houses. When we got back she had replaced our towels and made one bed??? Why just one bed? Other than that the breakfast was just okay but I don't expect to much from a free breakfast. The heated pool looks like they never clean the bottom, and where the water line is on the tile there is a bunch of gunk built up on it. Overall I wouldn't stay here again i expected more from a Marriott hotel. I've stayed in California close to the beach in Dana point, and paid way less than this and never had issues like this. read more

Had the best experience at this hotel. Suite was perfect for our family and everything was clean! My husband left his wallet in the nightstand. Housekeeping found it and turned it in to the front desk. John called and was kind enough to mail it to our destination in Florida. We did pay for for overnight delivery. He used our credit card on file. Made it as easy as he could for us. My husband was so grateful, he had John take $50 out of the wallet to give to the housekeeper who found it. We booked the hotel after significant research for safe places to stay along I-75. We are traveling with both of our children under 11. A couple other hotels were sold out, but southwest rapid rewards points offered me additional rewards points and an excellent rate for a king suite with a pullout couch. We checked in at 8ish pm, I had prepaid for the hotel on the road and the checkin was super quick- staff was very friendly and anticipated what I would need before I asked. Wifi is free with your stay and the best morning a hot breakfast is included in the price! Rooms are big, spacious. There are no bathtubs!!! Only showers, FYI. The beds are memory foam and very comfortable. Rooms have thermostats. Pillows are also squishy and comfortable. Very modern layouts and design. Waffle maker, eggs, sausage, coffee, tea, cereal, biscuits, assortments of fruit, muffins, milk, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, donuts. I'm glad they didn't have the typical donuts and pastries because I otherwise would have had to go elsewhere to find food to eat. Glad we stayed here! Would stay again. read more

My only complaint is that there is only a nightstand on one side of the bed in a king bed room. This is very weird as there were plugs and even a light switch on the side without a table. I had a feeling this hotel, other than our almost $300 a night room in Savannah, would be the nicest one on our trip to Georgia this Summer and I was correct. The two Girls at the front desk upon check in could not have been any sweeter. What a way to end a horrible travel day with these two Smiling, Friendly as can be, Georgia Peaches! Love Love the rooms here! This would be a great place to stay for an extended period of time if you are away from home on business. You have a separate office area with a small couch to give you that at-home feeling, a microwave and mini fridge, and the beds were super comfy! The price included breakfast in the morning. I am not one to eat microwaved meat or powdered eggs, but they had a nice variety of fruits, breads, bagels, yogurt, and overall I would consider this a better than average free hot breakfast. The person working in the breakfast area was beyond helpful and friendly as well. The one standout here is that everyone seemed to really enjoy working here! I love to see that! I most definitely would stay here again if I am ever in the Macon, GA area and will be looking for more SpringHill Suites when traveling elsewhere. read more

Best hotel on our 13 day trip south. Very modern updated and very comfortable. We had the 2 beds and also has a seperate pull out from the couch, so you can comfortable sleep 6. Has a seperate toilet bathroom from the shower bathroom, we utilized this a few times (has sinks in both). Nice exercise room but the personal equipment TVs aren't hooked up. This was our first experience at a SpringHill. I have to say we were impressed. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. The room was good size with separate seating area, desk, frig and microwave. The breakfast was very good with several selections of hot and cold foods. Have stayed here a few times but tonight will surely be our last. Positive: The staff is friendly and interactive. Negative: Last week we were here and there was a serious housekeeping issue. Management responded appropriately which I appreciated. Thought I'd give them another chance. Today they gave our reserved room type to someone else. A new employee had erred I was told. With my Marriott membership level, I am guaranteed the room I reserved will be available. I didn't even ask for the free upgrade that my membership allows. Manager responded well and placed us on "the side away from the interstate". That sounded good at the time. However, my wife and I are trying to sleep and all we hear is the periodic train whistle of passing trains. I never thought that as I select a hotel I'd have to look at a map to see where the nearest train tracks are. And now I hear a 400lb man pacing the floor above me. All I want is a good night's sleep after driving 9 hours. Not happening. read more

This is the only hotel I will stay in when I come to Macon for business. I'm in town 3-4 times every year and I have stayed in quite a few of the different Marriott family hotels locally. This hotel is recently renovated and beautifully styled. A very clean/simple Scandinavian decor is used in the rooms. Such a refreshing change from the standard heavy colors and dark furniture you find in most hotels these days. The front desk staff is great. Always smiling and always very helpful if/when you need anything at all. The lovely lady who runs the breakfast buffet is hilarious. She's such a great person to talk to early in the morning. Just starts your day off on the right foot. The buffet is satisfactory as well. Hot food that is cooked each morning instead of the generic "continental breakfast" of bagels and cold cereal found at other places. My only negative is that the WiFi isn't the greatest. The connection is reliable, but it is unbelievably slow. To some people this wouldn't be a big issue. But when I was trying to upload business documents to my server I kept getting timeout errors due to the connection speed. If they would get that sorted out then I would have no problems giving a 5 star review. read more

Desk staff told us they were not allowed to take reservations -- had to call the corporate Marriott line. Men's room off the lobby had neither soap nor towels. WiFi didn't work well. Nothing the staff can do about this one, but it will drive you nuts. Bathroom stuff is in two separate rooms -- like the toilet in one room and the sink in another. Just not user-friendly. Just weird. Nice location, near an a upscale mall. Rates OK. Not great competition in Macon, so it's not a bad choice. But I'm not sure I'll stay there again. read more
