It doesn't matter what you order, it will be good. I had a long day and needed a good meal & drink. I had been telling everyone about Her Majesty, but hadn't been to the new location myself so I stopped by after work. I went in and was immediately greeted by the host. She was super friendly and had the best customer service I ordered togo, but decided to sit at the bar while I wait. Surprisingly, it was busy for it to be a Tuesday, but it wasn't a bad wait. I enjoyed a top shelf margarita & it was perfect. Bar kinda small, but so cute. The entire restaurant is beautiful. Now to the food. The menu changes every month to go with the season/month. Wonderful experience. Visited on Thursday and had reservations for 5:00. Restaurant has great appetizers specials until 6:00. All of the food was delicious. Restaurant decor was fitting for theme , clean and inviting. Gumbo was very flavorful and one of the best appetizers items. The restaurant interior is well designed and comfortable & the menu has some unique options. This visit I had the catfish poboy. It tasted good but there was only one skinny 'tender' of catfish and lots of bread. Also I didn't want fries but was told they don't do substitutions -- not a big fan of that as surely a side salad or other cooked veggies can't be that challenging, can it? Lastly, if you're looking for a vegan option, this isn't the place for you. Many people think "vegan = salad", which doesn't really meet the need as we do need protein like everyone else. We had reservations but were a little late which we notified them of. They were still able to accommodate. When we got there they had to clean the table and set it. Even though the table was ready we still were not seated for a good 15-20 minutes looking at the empty table. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable and made the experience pleasant. The food was ok. There could have been a little more seasoning in the alfredo and the chicken was dry. The shrimp in the po boy and fries were delicious and well seasoned. I could have done without the cover band/music. It was a bit loud for how big the restaurant was. It wasn't what I was expecting from a black owned establishment but to each their own. read more

First of all special thanks to my sissy pooh for always, always thinking of me. Even when I say no, she still orders me something. Tonight she attended a birthday gathering here and got me the royal spring salad with the addition of shrimp. When I told her I would save it for tomorrow, she states I think it's predressed because no dressing on the side so you might want to eat it now. This salad says it comes with a lite-lemon herb vinaigrette but I swear nothing is on it. The leaves are dry. I do not notice it at all so you may want to get extra on the side. But I had some Italian dressing here to save the day. The presentation of the salad was spot on. The strawberries were fresh and not overly ripen. The star of the salad were the pecans. They have a sweet coating...perhaps truffle since I noticed the menu has other items that uses truffle. I don't know but it's well balanced. The shrimp were cooked really well also. read more

I'm not sure how I hadn't heard about Her Majesty's Kitchen for so long but I'm glad we stopped there today! We were warmly greeted at the door and our server was spectacular! The atmosphere is very warm and classy. My Wife ordered the Citrus Grilled Salmon severed with grits. Which she loved! My daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine and cornbread. Which she loved! And I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine! Everything was well presented and flavorful! Chef Chelsia came to our table and had a wonderful conversation with us. Chef Chelsia has brought an amazing food experience to a very unlikely place. I, for one, thank her for that! DISAPPOINTING- I had been excitedly looking forward to my first dining experience at Her Majesty Kitchen and booked a reservation to celebrate my birthday there on October 23. upon arrival, the restaurant was at less than 50% capacity. despite having a 6:15 reservation, it took more than 15 minutes for the server to take drink orders. we placed orders for appetizers and received in relative reasonable time frame and placed dinner order. At approximately 7:45 we inquired about status of entrees and was told it would be a while. the server brought out another order of spinach dip. 8:15, the server came to inform that the branzino that was ordered was unavailable. dinner was finally served at 8:35. the overall experience was lackluster and certainly didn't live up to my expectations based on prior reviews that I'd read. After a 40 minute drive to the restaurant and a 2 hour wait to be served - I won't be making a repeat visit. first and last trip. the food was good but not spectacular read more

We always stay in Forsyth on our trips north. First time visiting this restaurant. Everything was great. We were seated quickly. Our server came by in a very timely manner. We were not extremely hungry so I had a burger and my wife had a bowl of, I think, gumbo. She really enjoyed the spice and taste of her gumbo. My pimento cheese burger is in the team picture of the best that i have had. Our server was very good. We will be returning on a future trip. Hopefully with more of an appetite, because the desserts looked amazing. read more

My wife and I went here a little after 8PM and had the most wonderful experience. Our service from Roslyn was attentive and friendly. She made us feel like we belonged there and kept up with our needs. We will definitely be going back there when any chance arrives. We had live music for the entirety of our meal which added to the ambiance of the dining area. Thanks again to the staff and cooks for such a wonderful meal. My hope for this kind of experience doesn't remain only in Forsyth. It's the epitome of southern hospitality with the atmosphere of a local place to hang out to hear great music playing. read more

I'm only giving this review 4 stars because this is a fairly new restaurant and I understand they have to work out the kinks. The decor is charming. We wanted to try the food. We did not get a server and after sitting at our table for over 10 minutes without even a glass of water, we decided to walk out. There were empty tables and only 2 people at the bar. The bartender was just standing around. I would suggest more teamwork so the servers can concentrate on their tables. What a shame. We really wanted to try the food. Food was amazing! You can tell that the owners are very involved. The flavors were all dead on to what I had expected. I could taste every herb and seasoning in the BBQ Shrimp. I stopped in for lunch. I also got the Gumbo as I felt I HAD to in order to judge the authenticity. Beautifully executed. Rice was perfectly cooked which I feel is also a nice way to decide how well a kitchen can execute a dish. Staff were extremely attentive to my needs. I'll certainly be back. Maybe tonight. The Lamb Chop entree looks right down my alley. I didn't have room for dessert however, I met the Pastry Chef who seems to take pride in her work. Everything was looking. Beautiful coming out of the oven. I don't typically 'do' sweets often. However, I will probably come back to get some later to bring home from the retail counter. Please make the time to come in! We need variety here and this is the perfect addition to 'The Alley' as I call it thru Adams with Fox City, The Den, , Queen Bee Coffee, Jonah's The Art area behind it. We drove an hour from Atlanta to visit this restaurant and it did not let us down. It was amazing. The food and drinks were equally delicious and our waiter ZOE was nothing but wonderful !!! The restaurant is a renovated warehouse and the industrial feel puts you in New Orleans. They also had a band (on Saturday not sure if they have one everyday). First I'll start with the good and the reason for my 4 stars. The food was really really good. I had some sort of spaghetti noodle shrimp and lobster dish, and even though the lobster was slightly over cooked the flavor of this dish was incredible! It was so good, I will be returning just for this dish. We also got the BBQ shrimp and again the flavor in that broth was the kind you just wanted to sop up with a biscuit, or drink by itself! Those two items alone really warranted 5 stars. I do think the restaurant is going through some growing pains and maybe needs a more professional wait staff. While I can certainly appreciate wanting to give off a higher end experience with the food (awesome flavors) and ambience, I got the feeling my waitress was recruited from Waffle House. read more

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Best Louisiana style food east of Louisiana! The boudin are awesome as are the shrimp and grits. All I had ever eaten was Charleston style, but the New Orleans style has a bit more bite and is truly delicious. I also recommend the New Orleans style bread pudding for dessert. Chef Lenise Leknes prepares the desserts for the restaurant and she also has her bakery close by and if you come before 7, her other pastries are available for purchase. The cinnamon buns and flan are so goooooood! The service was good...staff still on the learning curve as this restaurant just re-opened at a new larger location after being closed for a few months to remodel and move to the new place.
