Wow! That's all I can say .. I took my baby Girl Honey to get her Rabies shot which she previously had at another place on Broadway but they seem to have forgot to put in her records. I have 3 babies the other 2 had theirs so why would I leave Honey out .. I also had Ny Ginger who was not herself so I brought her back . They were so sweet took her temperature it was 102 they gave her antibiotics . In about 4 days she gained her strength back . They took my cat in as a walk in patient...did the exam and we were on our way. The Dr was nice, listened to me and the staff was helpful and caring. The price of the visit with medications was very affordable. I was taking my cat to a veterinarian in Walnut Creek and he gets car sick every time so I'm happy they are so close my baby won't get car sick. I recommend this veterinarian. They showed compassion in the minute. I walked in there in need of an x-ray machine. Other than that they have a full service veterinarian care. Their x-ray machine broke down. It cost over $50,000 to replace it and it can't be repaired to keep his prices reasonable. He chose not to replace it. I think we need to set up a GoFundMe to help them replace their x-ray machine and encourage him to stay in business because we need more veterinarians with kind hearts, and compassion. This place is small, but has the best doctor. He is compassionate w animals and is mindful of costs. Our other veterinary is also nice at Broadway Street, however, they push for plenty of additional tests and I personally feel, me, alone, that they use fear to motivate for pet owners to push the bill higher. Springs Vet do not; and I feel they only recommend needed services and give you the option of spending less if possible. It sucks to be placed into guilt when you bring your pet and opt to not get the extra test or svcs. I don't like feeling, like I have to pick between being a good owner spending $$ and a bad owner trying to cut corners. I feel confident w Springs Vet and I feel we get to save $$ and I will be moving both dogs and our cat to this new provider. The nice staff is also very welcoming, nice and helpful. Springs Vet Clinic is the only place I bring my dogs! Dr. Asprer is so professional and experienced. My dog Silver, who has been anxious and uncooperative to the point of getting a soft muzzle put on just for a temperature reading at a past clinic, has never been nervous around Dr. Asprer and is examined so easily it's like he doesn't even notice he's getting touched. Both Silver and my other dog have gotten shots and oral medicine with no issues or stress because their vet is so gentle and caring. One time Dr. Asprer took a skin scrape sample and looked at it under the microscope, compared it to some pictures, diagnosed the issue right there and even let me look at the slide under the microscope myself. No need for tests being sent to a lab for delayed results. The vet assistants Lisa and Lorraine are also so easy to talk to and very helpful whenever I have questions. On top of the excellent and efficient pet care, this clinic is the most affordable I've ever seen and they are transparent and don't try to upsell you for extra exams or tests, instead giving a treatment or solution that has my pets feeling better in less than a week. I called several times starting on July 6th and left several messages the other times, I got a message saying the voicemail was full. The situation was my dog had a breast tumor that was so fast growing. It went from the size of a grape to the size of a cantaloupe within 2 weeks. Springs Veterinary Clinic was the vet that I've always went to, and to this day I have yet to receive a return phone call. And they used to be amazing I'm not sure what happened but I would definitely not recommend them anymore. They never called back so I called another vet. Not only did they answer when I called they squeezed me in for an appointment the next morning. Sadly, the tumor was extremely aggressive and we had to put her down. read more

My cat had been having low appetite and was vomiting this past week and I was a worried cat mom! The Dr. was very kind and gentle with my George and diagnosed him without running any expensive labs or tests. They gave me some meds and didn't force any extra services on me! Grateful for affordable pet care in Vallejo. Recently many vets here believe we all have thousands of dollars to throw in their direction. I was quoted $2,000.00 from my old vet for a single tooth extraction! It was an upper molar but this was too much for me. Springs provided full extraction with meds and follow up appointment for much less. Not a fancy smancy pants place. Dr. Asprer and his staff are the best. They are very kind, remember me and my animal friends personally, and don't overcharge and mark things up. I have had contact with 3 other vets in Vallejo, and consistently find Dr. Asprer to be the most ethical and competent. He doesn't insist on invasive unnecessary testing that can cause stress to my dogs, and is able to diagnose and treat appropriately in ways that remind me of the old school doctors who are very effective. If a dog needs xrays or other testing due to emergency, I take them to SPEC in Cordelia or Claremont Vet in Oakland. And, as I adopt seniors, his common sense low rates for dental work allow me to better care for my dogs who usually come to me with poor teeth. read more

First off, Saturday walk-ins is very accommodating for clients who needs help with their pets. The doctor diagnosed my pup with a broken foot, instead of making us spend an arm and leg he proposed to put a splint, let it stay on for a couple weeks and when we came back the splint was removed and his foot got better without us spending so much! We just moved back to the area and needed an urgent vet appointment when my dog got a foxtail in his paw. We only waited about 30 minutes on Saturday for their drop-in hours. Dr. Asprer usually doesn't perform surgeries on Saturdays, but made an exception for my dog. Even on a busy day, they were compassionate and non-judgemental. (I was feeling guilty for not finding the foxtail earlier.) We also have a new kitten that needed her shots and we brought her along with my dog's follow-up visit. It was hard to get an appointment for the follow-up. I had to call every couple of hours, but it was worth it. read more
