Within the past week, I played a round at Springvale. The course is following very organized COVID-19 procedures during check-in, which is a must for me. As my friend and I were checking in, there was a slight mix up as I mistakenly booked the wrong date on Golf Now. Luckily the course was able to accommodate us and allow us to play, provided we pay the difference. For this reason, we were grateful. The service at the concession was on par with our overall experience - very good. The prices were what you would expect for a busy country club. The course in general was in very good shape. It was obvious the course had been around for a long time and continues to replicate success. The only reason I do not give Springvale an outright 5/5 is due to the customer service that the starter gave to my friend and I. While everything else was perfect, he was rude and cut me off while talking multiple times. Even though I had only interacted with him for a total of 2 minutes he was, without reason not polite at all to us. TLDR: Overall, the course is great. I highly recommend it to anyone, but the starter on the day that I played was very rude. read more

Greed is the best way to describe this place. They stack tee times too close together to maximize profits while making for insanely slow rounds for golfers. The price is also outrageous for the level of golf course this place is. It wasn't that long ago where we played springvale because it was a cheaper than the nice courses, now they have jacked up the prices to a level where it's not worth playing at all. I was in a league two summers ago and play was so slow we weren't able to finish our rounds on more than half the rounds. Would not advise. read more

This review is for the pavilion rental. We are so impressed with Erin. She worked with us through the entire process of our DIY wedding. She stepped up in ways she truly didn't need to and gave us 110%. She gave us all the help we needed to make a ceremony and reception work during the planning phase and throughout the entire night. She was thoughtful, reliable and a supportive problem solver. Couldn't have done it without her and we are so grateful. This girl was a rock star!! read more

I called to make a tee time for myself and my kids (5 and 8). We've been to this course several times last year and years prior. Me: I'd like to make a tee time for my kids and I. They're only bringing putters and will probably only put on 3-4 holes. GC: we don't take tee times for one person. Me: Can you make the tee time for three people? I'll happily pay for them. GC: we don't encourage kids on the course. Me: To clarify, you don't allow kids or you don't encourage kids? GC: let me get a manager. (I was put on hold and they clearly forgot about me. I could hear many F bombs being dropped and lots of joking around when I finally shouted hey, I'm still on hold and then they laughed and said oh hey lol. A couple minutes later "manager" picked up the phone). Me:can I make a tee time for my kids and I? GC: we just had a staff meeting and I don't think we're going to allow kids. Me: can I make a tee time for my kids and I? GC: Ah, ugh, um, I mean, it's not encouraged, you know kids... Me: hangs up For the record, my kids don't talk in my backswing and know to be quiet when others are hitting. They're well behaved. I would never take my kids to a nice course until they're old enough. They've only been to Washington golf, mastick woods, and springvale. My kids had so much fun at Topgolf yesterday. They asked me if we could go to a real course today. There's nothing better than kids getting excited about golf. This was a very disappointing start to spring break. read more

My review is for the ballroom: Springvale was my dream location. For 18 years, I've dreamt of having my wedding at Springvale. When we got engaged, I let my fiancée explore some other venues. He wanted to compare some prices and be sure he liked the place as well. It wasn't long before he agreed Springvale was the perfect fit for us. We got married on 4/28/18, which is the last weekend of 'Wedding Season', so we were able to take advantage of discounts with a few vendors. Right from the start, Kelsey was amazing to work with. She was helpful, patient, and bubbly. A few months later, she left the company and we were so nervous to have a replacement! Then came Brittani. She was also amazing- experienced, dedicated, and detailed. She is so friendly and eventhough she sees hundreds of couples- she really made us feel like we were special and our wedding was exciting. It is clear her main objective is creating the perfect event for her client. Springvale is a classy, traditional, vintage-style ballroom. The gorgeous wood floors, giant bar, high ceilings with draped tulle and chandeliers were exactly what we wanted for our wedding. The room set up for our wedding allowed for a huge dance floor. This venue is great for large weddings because it's not crowded at all. Very accommodating. We went to a tasting and got to choose some menu items which were all delicious. We chose the chicken piccata and roast beef. On wedding day, the chicken didn't have much sauce with it, so it was pretty bland. I was disappointed, but everything else was wonderful. They forgot to pour the champagne for the head table, so we had nothing to toast with. We were nervous about having enough bartenders for our crowd (a friend had said his daughters wedding had a line at the bar all night), so we sprung for a 3rd bartender. Not sure if we needed it for 220 people, but for sure there was no line at the bar. All of the staff was very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Brittani made everything EASY. I love Springvale so much and I couldn't be happier we chose it for our reception. Hands down, my favorite vendor for our wedding. It truly was a dream. read more

I accidentally left my Ray Ban Sunglasses in my golf cart last Sunday. I called and spoke to someone Monday morning at 11am and was told that they were turned in. I left my name and said I would pick them up sometime this week. I arrived on Saturday and they were gone. I have been playing at this course for 15+ years...I Wil not be back. read more

Dont bother showing up to this very average golf course as a Senior North Olmsted resident on a sunday for less than 45$ for eighteen holes! Not a drop of water on the course. The malarky for not having water was that people contaminate it ! Never heard of this happening anywhere my entire life. Hickory nut stations 2 huge coolers of cheap bottled water on the honour system for free, 1 on the front and 1 on the back. Come on Springvale get some class ! This is not a 45$ 18 hole course on any day folks call before you go. Once we were there were not about to leave but will make sure we do our homework in the future. read more

I helped coordinate a non-profit's golf outing and dinner here recently and we were quite impressed with their facility. We shopped around the near Cleveland area (wanted a place that would allow us to hold the event on a Saturday or Sunday, a spacious and classy indoor room for our banquet following the the golf outing, and centrally located, since we would have people all from Northeast Ohio, ideally within 20 miles from downtown Cleveland). Springvale fit our needs the best and they were priced comparable to other places. The fact that they were open for an organization to hold an outing on a weekend day is appreciated since it's quite rare for a course to do so. The course itself ? I don't golf more than once a year, most courses are the same for me. Take my review of the actual course with a grain of salt. As for the ballroom, it hasn't been updated very recently (wooden walls, looks as classy as wood can be) but it's very well maintained. There's large white cloths winding through the wooden beams that add sophistication. There's a raised stage and built in sound system which worked well for our needs and good acoustics. We had plenty of room for our 165 guests. The recently remodeled clubhouse featured an indoor gazebo that allowed plenty of light to come in. In execution, they were great. There were plenty of staff on hand an hour before our event's registration started. Always returned our phone calls promptly, answered any questions that we had, even didn't charge us for a few cases of bottled water that we used after we had ran out. Our lunch and dinner, cooked by them, was done as ordered. One minor communication hiccup but it was resolved. Springvale helped our event to be a big success. None of our guests had anything negative to say. We look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

Had my wedding reception here and also shot another wedding (I'm a photographer) at Springvale. Every time, the food was excellent, the event coordinator helped tremendously and the ballroom is decorated beautifully. read more

If I could give this place a -5 star I would. This guy who likes Michigan discriminated against kids that just want to golf with their slimes and have fun. The course is in awful condition and they won't let people 18 and under drive a golf cart. People with their driving license should be able to drive a golf cart. I have two good things to say about this place. My slime had a good sausage sandwich and they sold me 15 nitro balls that were horrible quality but only for 5 dollars. Nice well maintained course. Mostly flat links course layout. Hole numbers 11 and 18 are a bit challenging and require some golf strategy and risk taking. Nice clubhouse that is on the new side, attached to a ballroom which is great for outings. read more

Haven't played here in about 3-4 years. Played the back nine. Fairways were lush and nicely mowed, not a weed in sight. Greens were immaculate, no previous ball marks and nice contours to each. Back nine is relatively flat with the exception of 2 holes that each have a creek (ravine) to cross. Fairly wide open fairways, so room for error. Didn't get to experience the sand traps as I managed to avoid them, besides we had torrential rains the previous 2 days and some understandably had a lot of water in them. There are some fairway bunkers too. Some ponds, but most really don't come into play. Par 70, 1 par 5 on each nine. Cart path is mostly asphalt with some area crushed stones, or just worn, broken asphalt. Nice signage at each hole. They did a nice job of clearing leaves off the greens, tee boxes and fairways. Clubhouse is quite nice and looks like a great place to hang out if it wasn't for Covid. Weekday price on par with other area courses. Tee times a must, even in mid-October. Really can't find fault, thus the 5 star rating. Will definitely return more often than 3-4 years. read more

While we appreciate the effort that Kelsey and her staff put forth, we feel that some things fell far short of the expectations of ourselves and our guests. I realize that this isn't a common occurrence, as the facility has very good reputation and that was the primary reason we chose it. First issue... I am the Key Account Manager for a liquor distributor. Because of this we had agreed to and were assured that the bar would be stocked with liquor that was part of my companies portfolio and not that of my competitors. The liquor's that we explicitly requested not be served was there. Needless to say this was a conflict of interest for me and the many employees in my organization that were in attendance not to mention tremendously embarrassing. When this was mentioned to Kelsey she dismissed it as a simple mistake. That's not a simple mistake, it's a HUGE problem. Secondly, we had multiple guests tell us that they believed that the alcohol that was being served was "watered down". If that in fact is the case it is not only unethical, but illegal. These same people among many others also complained to us about very poor bar service. While I can't prove the claim that the alcohol was in fact "watered down" I can tell you that having that many people mention it certainly warrants suspicion. The food service was, as l learned from multiple tables an unmitigated disaster. Many tables did not receive their food until 9:30 which was after we had already cut the cake. It was well over 1.5 hours after the first tables were served. When they did receive it, they immediately claimed it was COLD, and in many cases not even what they had ordered. Almost every single person I have talked to claimed the food was cold. How could this have happened? Furthermore, I was told by one of our guests that she had the audacity to tell a guest that the delayed service was my fault because I "didn't turn in the form with the number of meals at each table early enough". In my estimation that's terribly insulting at a minimum. It is my understanding that some of our guests have already contacted Springvale to file a complaint on their own. How embarrassing for my husband and I, as well as Springvale Ballroom. When we reached out to the facility manager, Sarah at Springvale, she took NO responsibility for these issues. She had an excuse for every matter that we brought to her attention. She was beyond unprofessional. It seems rather odd that a service oriented business such as Springvale would be allowed to function without a recourse for failing to provide a minimum standard of service. In essence, their policy is then by default, "you get what you get, and if you don't like it, it's your fault." They did nothing to make amends. The least they could have done was given us back our mandatory 16% service charge, which was over $2000. Therefore, we paid $2000 for terrible service and horrible food. I would highly recommend staying away from Springvale, because if something does go wrong... they will blame it on you. In my experience, businesses do not function well without any accountability or customer satisfaction driven behavior. Rather than being able to look back on my wedding night as a fond memory I will now have to forever remember that evening as being tarnished by unfulfilled promises which led to our humiliation in front of our guests, as well as the bitter taste of terrible service. read more

Terrible service. Horrible old grumpy annoying starters. the course is well kept and beautiful but the people working arent up to par. i had a tee time last sunday,(april 17 2016) and the (starter) tried to pair me up with two old men. I didnt feel especially social that day so i insisted on playing alone and that apparently wasnt an option, even though i called ahead and secured a tee time for myself. so instead i opted for a refund. the women behind the counter tried to gime me $2.50 for the extra balls i no longer needed and a rain check for the greens fee. that seemed odd to me because i had used my card for the whole initial purchase. I refused the rain check and the $2.50 and asked either to be fully refunded in cash or credit.(which is totally fucking reasonable) they denied that request and said i had to deal with their manager. (Sara) the following monday i call and try to speak with (Sara). shes not in. by the time i got home from work i had a message on my home line from (Sara) saying the greens fees were able to be refunded but not the retail balls. The exact opposite of what her employees tried to do the day before. so to sum it up there are a bunch of stuck up cunts woking at springvale golf course and ballroom who owe me two dollars and fifty cents. O ya and as i was leaving the starter felt bad, so he offered to pay me $20 out of his own pocket. i obviously didnt take his money. read more
