I promised Ricardo I would write a review, and now I'm only sorry that I waited this long. Ricardo passed away unexpectedly last week and he'll never see this post. Ricardo was the one of the store managers, I think, and was always helpful and funny and just an overall fun guy to see whenever I made trips to Watersavers. He will be missed. I am a DIY weekend warrior. Yet when I come here I am still treated with respect and the staff here are always very friendly and eager to lend a helping hand when I have questions. They have a great selection of anything you will need for your drip irrigation project. Not only do they have a better selection than places like Ace Hardware or Home Depot, the prices here are competitive as well. Highly recommended. read more

They sold me a used part (thinking it was new) for twice the price of a new one. Thus, made two round trips (60 miles,1.5 hours,$20 fuel) to return the used questionable part. They never apologized. read more

Really disappointing experience at Watersavers. I've been a customer for twenty years and never had a problem. I purchased some LED bulbs for my outdoor lighting system that I bought at Watersavers. The replacement bulbs didn't fit, so I brought them back and they told me they absolutely would not accept the return because it was 35 days, and they won't accept anything over 30 days ever. no store credit, nothing. They had the exact same bulbs on the shelf, so there was no reason that they couldn't have re-stocked them. Literally, any other store would have given me credit. I left the bulbs there, along with receipt since there was no reason for me to keep. Losing a long time customer over a 30 day return policy is antiquated and one reason I should buy things online instead of supporting a local business. Buyer beware, their policy is no returns over 30 days ever. read more

This place has only been open at this San Rafael location for a few months. It is open to the general public. If you have a landscaping job, it's likely your people will be buying supply's here because of their prices and inventory. I got exactly what I needed within seconds. These guys are solid. They're nice, they handle questions with professionalism and speed, and they have what you need. They're handling the Covid-19 thing well too. At first, I found the place intimidating... being a woman working on her own irrigation system, I felt I was not welcomed in this pro Irrigation store. The first few times I came in, I was ignored and dismissed... it felt like a lot of negative 'boy's club' energy. When I came in a 3rd time I was greeted with a sweet smile from Ricarello. What a nice guy. He totally changed my mind about this place. He got me all set up with what I needed and then some. I was expecting to be ignored again but he actually helped me. I am in the process of installing artificial grass in my backyard and was advised by a friend to stop at Watersavers as they have all the product I need for my project. Not only did they have all that I needed for the project Ricardo Navarro and Oscar were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Ricardo gave me a pictorial that was detailed and made the task bearable. Positive: A good selection at reasonable prices with some friendly staff. Negative: Wasting my time. As a professional wanting to get in and get out, my time is being wasted in multiple ways over the last twenty four hours: I asked for brass pipe thread to male hose thread and was sent to the place for brass nipples. Not seeing them, I was directed by someone else to the other end of the store. Then I was sent back again to the brass nipples, only to repeat myself again, asked whether I wanted brass (I had said this twice in the last minute) be sent back to the original place and ask where the brass pipe thread to female thread was. The person looked confused. I pointed at something that looked possible and said: "What about this?" He said "yes," so I then bought it, only to find that it was hose to hose thread. Time for a return it after all that because the staff is not trained, the labels do not say "female pipe to male hose," but use a code, and the staff could not tell the difference. While there I noticed some lights I liked and asked if they were in stock. "No." The next day I called to order them and this was the phone dialog: I call up this morning: "I'd like to place a special order." "Wait a moment.... OK" "It's Hadco model..." "Oh, you want a light?" "Yes." "Wait a moment." New voice: "Can I help you." "Yes I want to place a special order." "Hang on...." New voice: "How can I help you." "Where's Oscar. This is the third time I've repeated myself." "Oscar's busy with another customer." "I'm not going to repeat myself again." Oscar's voice: Hi "Oscar you have shuffled me three times without being able to write down a one sentence order." "I'm with another customer." At this point I hung up and placed my light order elsewhere. There was no apology and this waste of my time makes it easier to order online. Bottom line: The staff need better training about store parts and how to handle the phone. I thought it would be courteous to send this to the corporate office, rather than publicly, so I went on the website and used the e-mail given for the corporate office. This was the automatic reply: [[Your message to corporateoffice@watersaversinc.com couldn't be delivered. The group corporateoffice only accepts messages from people in its organization or on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list.]] So it seems the issue of poor communication begins with ownership. Perhaps they read their yelp reviews more than their e-mails. I hope the reply includes plans for crew training and updating the contact page on their website. That's what the customers of this store need. read more

Watersavers is one of the rare suppliers who services both the professional and the non-professional equally well. I have happily shopped there for over 15 years. The counter-staff is very helpful. Some staff members have been there for many years and they make sure the place runs smoothly. If you show up prepared with thoughtful questions, they will probably be able to help you. They can't do your design for you, but they can help you identify the components you need to bring it to completion. It's a busy place during contractor hours, so consider off-hours if you need more help than usual. read more

I don't know about those negative reviews but my experience have been awesome. The people there are really nice and very helpful, especially Ricarelo, I had been working with him twice. He went extra miles to help me out. I'm not a contractor but they treating me the same. I had bad experiences with other local lumber stores in the area where they would treat contractors better (since they make more money from them). By the way, the owner are also awesome. Love this place. I wish they sold everything else they had at HomeDepot. I totally would've shopped here all the time. read more

I visited Watersavers after being referred by a friend. I was in such desperate need due to our sprinkler system freezing up. We had not used our sprinklers in months, due to the drought. Stumbled across this place a little while back. We had a mole problem and really needed to fix up some huge holes we had as well as fix some irrigation pipes while we were at it.
