After a little too much time, spent hand watering I decided that it was time to just buck up and get a professional to come help. I had called Johnny initially, and he did tell me that his rate was $150 hourly. I wasn't sure if that was high, but it seemed kind of high so I didn't call back right away. However, I had a conversation with my neighbor across the street who gave me the number of someone who would come and worked on her system and said that he was really great. Ironically it was Sunset. So I figured that might as well pay a little more than I wanted to know that whoever came was good at what they do. Referrals are everything. I called Johnny and he was able to get me in rather quickly. He actually ended up coming a day earlier than we had planned because he had some extra time and it worked for me. He was able to figure out my system really quickly and spent the time to show me how to program it and make sure it's working. He also told me to call back in the winter that he could chop down a pesky tree that I would love to remove from my front yard. Overall, he was very personable, and definitely seem to know what he was doing. While his prices were exactly what I had budgeted for I would so much rather pay a professional who knows what they're doing then go cheap and end up with bigger problems than I started with. I had two years to figure out the system and never could but he was able to in five minutes. I am so looking forward to not having to worry about hand watering in the mornings anymore. I'm also very lucky that the system I had was actually working and there were no additional issues to deal with.

Just Sprinklers winterized my drip system I asked them to…read morecheck the system out first and also check to see if I needed some heat tape on the exposed pipes/valve. The price was very reasonable - $79.99 for winterizing. However .... the only reason they didn't get 5 stars is that the tech actually added a heat package which included a fake rock, which I'm sure would be fine except it didn't really need the heat package. I got the invoice and it was over $400. Whoa! I was never told that was going to be done. So I emailed them and Johnnie called me right back and explained the charges and had the heat package removed and re-billed me for just the base charge. I'll use them in the Spring.

The first and last time I use this company. The guy that…read moreshowed up was not professional and didn't seem to know what he was doing. He was supposed to swap out one of the sprinkler valves. He didn't seem to be able to do it in a timely fashion, and then said that because he was struggling, and it took longer than he thought it was going to he would have to charge me overtime. This is because it was getting dark and it was after hours. He failed to recognize that he was two hours late showing up and that if he would've showed up on time, it would not have been an issue. Additionally, he struggled to install it and ended up cracking one of the other pipes, which ended up leaking and then needing to be replaced as well. Poor quality service. Avoid.
