Excellent service! Came in to buy my mom a beach cruiser recumbent bike at the last minute and the staff was very helpful in explaining the different features of the bikes. The young mustachioed man was very nice and allowed us to take a long test ride and heck out all the different gears. These guys and gal are all as good as they come. Honest, hard working biking advocates. Over the last year and a half, they patiently rebuilt our 2, 20+ year old bikes, mostly one breakdown at a time. They were understanding that we loved these bikes and wanted to keep them on the road. Quit a feat with 100-150 miles/week riding. In addition to being great mechanics, they are delightful and patient. I often asked if the repair could be done that day, and consistently the answer was yes if they had the part. In the last few months we purchased new Trek bikes from them. Great riding bikes with requiring some fine tuning. Again, they were patient and hard working, and keeping us riding 100+ miles week. These guys should be the standard that the industry measures against. Just a word of advice to those who have had an off experience here... You want great service, start by being a great customer. Those negative reviews were 2 yrs ago and older. My experience was just as great as these other more recent reviews. I've been down here visiting a friend, borrowed her bike and promptly rolled over something that popped the tube in my tire. I called a couple places and settled on Sprockets and am very glad I did. Brandon was super nice and very helpful. I decided to wait while they replaced it and also asked to watch and learn how they take care of the repair - he had no problem showing me. He then easily determined the source of the problem. Apparently I unknowingly rolled over some tiny burrs that have a single needle-like thorn and one of them was long enough to reach the inner tube and poke a small hole. There were other little burrs with smaller thorns stuck all over my tire. He patiently used tweezers to removed all of them one by one. Curious how I would be able to recognize them while riding so as to avoid them in the future and he described to me what plant they are found in. Apparently they are 'hidden' within a leafy green groundcover-like plant and quite difficult to see while riding. We also got to talking about how I like to rollerblade and looking for places to go. As he had a friend who also rollerbladed, he suggested to me a couple places his friend enjoyed skating. Also, their repair service was extremely affordable -- if you bring the wheel in (not the bike), the charge is only $5 ! Loved that! I definitely recommend checking out this business. From now on, they will be my 'go-to' bike store. read more

THE BIKE shop to use if you're in St A..knowledgeable staff,fantastic service,very good bike accessory inventory..took my bike in for a "customization" of my Trek handlebars - shortening and realigning all brake handles and shifters - staff never heard of this but were able to perform and results were superb..and they're fast..came from large metro area and this shop is equal or superior to the shops there-use them and feel confident your bike will be repaired well read more

I took my rear 26 inch wheel in to the shop for repair or exchange because several spokes had broken. The main man said he would re-lace new spokes on my good hub to the rim, he said it would be the best job I ever saw, for only $60. I called a few hours later (I was traveling by bicycle in Florida and needed my bike for daily use, so they were expediting the repair) and was told the wheel was finished, except they had not been able to use the old rim, it was too warped, so they sold me the used rim and hub I had looked at earlier, and put my axle for my BOB trailer in the used hub and installed the tire. I had wanted to do those things myself to save money, and was not happy about the fact they did not call me to ask what I wanted done when they found out the old rim was too warped (I kind of knew that but wanted to let these "super dudes" learn for themselves, as they tend to denigrate the wisdom and experience of customers like myself who have biking longer than they have been alive!) So it wasn't till I took the wheel back to where my bike was stored at someone's house and decided to check the air pressure that I notice it had a presto valve--I hate them, because they require an adapter to use most air hoses at truck stops or air pumps. IF THEY HAD CALLED ME, I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO DRILL OUT THE VALVE STEM HOLE IN THE RIM AND USE A SCRADER VALVE--the most common type, which by the way is better than presto becasue as a truck driver we used schrader valves in tires that held up to 160 lbs air pressure, and they didn't leak at all. So the presto valve is just an elitist thing without real value for those of us who actually use bicycles daily, not just for sport or recreation. Then I received a ride from Florida to Omaha Nebraska in a pickup truck (I am from Colorado and trying to get back) where I finally had the first chance to assemble the BOB trailer behind my bike and travel--and within two miles, I had a flat tire!! Then I discovered Sprockets had not used a thorn proof heavy tube, but a thin one, while keeping my heavy duty tube which had sealant in it. So I feel they stole my good tube, sold me a rim which should have been drilled out to accept my good tube instead they took the easy way out by sticking a cheap presto tube in the wheel, so that I got a flat with the first use. Also, if they had told me what they had done, I would of given them a liner I carried with me to put inside the wheel--their failure to communicate made my travels miserable, as it wasn't until recently that I was able to make the valve hole larger and install a schrader valve tube. I am asking them to refund my money for the price of a Specialized thorn proof tube, with sealant, about $12.-$15.00. I do not recommend these arrogant and boastful people--deal carefully with them, as they think too much of themselves and not enough of the customer.
