We popped into this bicycle shop in Nocatee to have a look and "window shop" and to get an idea for a Christmas present. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young man who was ready to help. Since we were just browsing, we had a look around. They don't have a ton of options at this location (they have another on Phillips). When we looked at kids bike prices, it gave me a bit of pause. The "cheapest" one we found was over $400 (maybe I'm old, maybe I'm cheap, I don't know), but I wasn't expecting to pay over $400 for a bike. In the meantime, all the staff looked knowledgeable, were able to answer any questions, and they do repairs in house, so this would be a great location to get your bike serviced at. read more

these guys have a great location and are very busy customer service is great when you are making a large purchase or sizable repair job but if you're there for something small forget it...even if you're a loyal customer I've been loyal to them but have not had the same courtesy in return. since the large purchases I've been in there 4 times for the same small 15 min and they just can't seem to find the time. no worries....I'll move on to somewhere where my money and loyalty are appreciated read more

This bicycle shop is located in the town center area of Nocatee. They sell various types of bikes, including electric bikes, as well as various items and accessories for your bike like baskets, basket liners, air pumps, phone holders, cup holders, and seats. I had previously purchased a phone holder and a basket liner and love them both. They also do bike repairs and a tuneup of your bike. Today, I had a flat tire on my back tire. I brought my bike into the store and they were very friendly and helpful towards me. Within a half hour, they were able to determine that it was only my inner tube that had a tear and needed to be replaced, and completed the work while I waited. I brought my bike here for an annual tune up & was pretty happy with the service. While it was there they called to let me know it needed a couple of other items but I'm going to get a new bike next year & didn't want to put a lot of money into this one & they weren't high pressure on selling which is great. We live nearby, so Bicycles Etc is extremely convenient. I've used them on numerous occasions over the past year. For the most part, all the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. On 4 out of the 5 times I've visited Bicycles Etc I have had a great experience. People are people and sometimes we have a bad day. So, my only negative experience came when the young man did not input my information into their system, and they did not know who my bike belonged to. (I should have been more astute when I dropped off the bike as the young man did not provide me with a receipt before I left. At that time, the shop only had young "high schoolish" workers in attendance. I'm thinking the manager may have just stepped out...I am young enough to remember what that feels like.) When we stopped in to check up on progress, there was no record of my bike. We did, however locate it as they put it up for safe keeping. So...thanks for that!!! Once we got the paperwork completed we were able to go about the business of fixing my pedal and crank arm. Unfortunately, Bicycles Etc was unable to get my part from their distributors, but they were instrumental in helping us find the part on Amazon. They even went so far as to text us a link for the correct item. We ordered it, delivered the crank arm to them, and it was fixed within hours! Previously, I've had a basket, bell, mirror and lights all installed as drop in visits. Each time, the employees helped me find what I needed, they did not try to upsell me, and they installed the items immediately. I find the shop friendly, helpful and very, very convenient. I definitely recommend Bicycles Etc., particularly if you live near the shop. Ride, shop, install and ride back home! read more

My mother had passed away and i took her bike to be fixed so I could use it when I moved to Jacksonville. I went to Seattle to visit a doctor and got stuck there when covid occurred because Washington would not let us leave. I just returned to Jacksonville and called up to get my back and the guy at the front desk said I owed a 750 dollar storage fee. I called them every month and not once did they ever tell me they were going to charge me a storage fee ever! I would be extremely careful of this company as they obviously don't have any empathy during a Covid pandemic... Now they are holding my bike hostage after I paid them fifty dollars with a balance of 150 to fix the bike. I am super angry as I have not worked in a year because of being stuck in Seattle and it's a slap in the face. read more

Terrible customer service. I just wanted to buy a water bottle. Instead the two techs just ignored me while I stood 10ft away for almost 10 minutes. Never acknowledged my existence. So sick of the typical shop guy attitude! I finally got them to allow me to buy the bottle. At least they had good bottles so I gave them 2 stars. But don't go there in a hurry. read more

We had a loose bike chain. Riley was professional and very helpful. I brought my kids and he took time to talk to us about the bike and what needed to be tightened. We ended up buying some grips Ana he put them on too. We were in and out in 10 minutes. read more

I had many issues with this shop. First, no one is wearing a mask and they get right next to you when talking to you. Next they gave me an estimate and then increased in by $30 when I called. Their explanation was ok, but they were so nonchalant about the fact they made a mistake. Kinda ... to bad to sad for you. The worst part is that they promised me my bike would be ready on three separate dates. The service and attitude of the people I talked with was a big FAIL. It is too bad this is the case because the work they did was very good. My wife was waiting for a bike to arrive at the store to purchase. That is not going to happen. read more
