Sprout is a cute little baby store with a good selection of clothes, toys and other baby stuff. I came in here in search of a baby gift and saw so many adorable items I wanted to buy. Sadly the prices for pretty much everything in the store were high. A little stuffed animal will set one back $30, a onesie was $25. The person working that particular day wasn't too friendly either. Charging these high prices, I expected better service, at least someone asking me if they could help me find something. Sprout is a nice shop for window shopping or if you need to grab a last minute gift and don't have a lot of options nearby. read more

I love everything about this place. Non-toxic and organic everything! I know I can always find something for my daughter. They have clothes, books, toys, and furniture. Just a heads up, it is $$$$ (and yes, four dollar signs); it is easy to spend $$$$ on a few things. Whenever Christmas or my daughter's birthday comes up, I know where to go. The reason for two stars? Limited on what they offer and parking. Definitely take a visit if you have a upcoming baby shower or a birthday party for kids! read more

I would highly recommend shopping at this small boutique in Palo Alto! We ordered all of our nursery furniture through Sprout (bookshelf, crib, and dresser from Oeuf). Stephanie was able to answer all of our questions about the brand as well as their order timeline/ stock availability. There were a few delays because of Oeuf's lack of availability and changing lead times for furniture items. We ended up being extremely disappointed with Oeuf's customer service and communication. Despite this, Stephanie was very helpful in dealing with Oeuf, and she was transparent and honest about her interactions with them. She worked to resolve the delays, and we were very happy with how she handled the situation. This shop also carries a variety of knickknacks, toys, and children's clothes that have a beautiful aesthetic! It's fun to just browse and see what they have to offer :) In summary, I'd highly recommend working with Stephanie and Sprout SF for all your nursery needs, but I would avoid purchasing anything from them by the manufacturer, Oeuf! read more

Wow, there are some really harsh reviews on this place. We came in to check out the Bumbleride Speed and Indie. They didn't have the Indie in stock because they are a small location, and had a Speed, but it was still in the box. The salesperson offered to build the stroller for us if we will willing to wait to try it out. I am SO glad she did this, because it turns out that the Speed is probably not as much my speed as the Indie is. She looked up where the Indie was available locally for us to try out even though it was with the competition. I personally felt that we received excellent service. The shop is small, but has many great items. It is a boutique baby store, so pricing matches that status. We left with a Pura stainless steel bottle/sippy cup and some SiliKids sippy cup toppers. If we do decide to buy the Indie, I will order through Sprout because of the excellent help that we received here! Parking is hard to find on the weekends here, so give yourself time. read more

THE BEST. I love that we finally have a Peninsula location! Sprout always has the cutest clothes, toys, new products and most friendly staff. We came in for a portable fan and a hat for our newborn. The gal behind the registered readiness immediately and let us know that she didn't have a fan, but did redirect us somewhere where you could find one. And she pulled out three different hats for us immediately. And then when the baby started fussing she offered to let us sit in a comfortable chair and breastfeed. now this is during covid so there are restrictions on how many customers can be in the store, and she actually turned away business in order to let me breastfeed. I will come back to the store for every baby thing I possibly need ever. Best customer service ever! read more

I purchased a product at Sprout which later started to fall apart. I contacted the manufacturer who needed proof of purchase, nine months later i didn't have it anymore. Sprout was able to locate and email me a copy of my original receipt for both purchases within hours of me emailing them. read more

I'm pregnant with my first child and was looking for organic clothing. I happened to be by the store so after lunch I went by. There was a signed be back. When I got there the person was unlocking the door when I asked about coming in she said no I'm not open I'm eating my lunch. What store does that? Very unhappy and they just lost me as a customer. I've heard of this store before but never had a reason to go until now that we are expecting. From the moment I walked in the door the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had so many questions and were able to get all of them answered. We started with strollers and car seats which they showed us all of the benefits of all of the different ones. They were even able to answer questions we had about strollers they don't even carry which was great! Very knowledgeable! We then moved to furniture, which I have to say, they have the most comfortable glider on their floor that I have ever sat in! I was able to get so much information on materials used, color fabric samples, etc. They made it very easy for me to make my decision on what I thought would be best for our nursery. I will finish with this, knowledge is one thing, but they really seem to care about their customers here. They asked my wife many questions that had nothing to do with selling products which made her feel very welcome. I highly recommend this store and we will definitely be going back for all of our baby needs! read more

Awful products with horrible customer service! I drove 30 minutes today to the store to return the jacket ( with the receipt in the return window, never worn, but no tags) and the owner of the store looked at me like I brought the trash in the store! She didn't even look at the jacket or receipt and was yelling at me that she can not take the jacket back! Really?! That is how you build your own business?! Go back to college and take "communication skills" class first! Guys, don't waist your time and money in that store. Return policy is unheard off! The owner is stuck up person, who should not run the business to begin with! "Buy buy baby" or "toys r us" is the way to go! Stopped by this morning to buy some gifts for a friend who just had twins. Got two colorful chew bracelets and some beautiful burp cloths featuring a fox pattern and a whale pattern. The sales person was friendly and helpful, and the gifts were wrapped beautifully. My friend was thrilled. Much better selection than a similar baby store I tried nearby. Terrible customer service experience over the phone made me not even step foot in the store. Asked what toys they would recommend for a 1 year old as a gift that they have in the store and the answer I got was "I don't know. I don't know off the top of my head." Totally agree about the horrible service here. The sales person couldn't be bothered to smile, say hi, or ask if we needed anything when we came into the store. We wandered around by ourselves to figure out what to get, then when I went up to pay her greeting was "are you ready?", still without a smile. She grumpily gift wrapped our present, rolling her eyes when I asked what the box looked like, then crumpled up the receipt and threw it away without asking if we wanted it or not. This is a great children's store. Great to have a peninsula location, which I actually prefer to the SF location (but that might be because of Amanda who is super sweet and helpful). They only carry high quality products and have a good selection of baby products (including strollers, car seats, bath toys/towels and clothes). If I need something I just go there and see what options they have. They are also one of very few stores who carry Grimm's blocks and toys. I just wish the store was bigger and carried more stuff. The staff is really nice and helpful and I always feel welcome whenever I am there. One of the times I was there, my son decided he really wanted to nurse, so I sat at the nursing chair floor model they have. Unlike the SF store, which has a lot of room, the PA shop is really small and I felt really bad being in the way of other customers. However, I was offered water, told to take my time and commented on how happy my son looked while nursing. I hope they stick around! read more
