I stopped by Sprouts, which I was surprised to find on Long Island, looking for a vitamin. But after seeing so many different options, I had no idea what to choose. Luckily, Sarina came over and offered to help. She asked me a few questions about what I was hoping to accomplish and walked me through the products that would be the best fit for my needs. I really appreciated that she wasn't pushy or just trying to sell me the most expensive option. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure I understood the differences between the products. Customer service like that can be hard to find these days, and it definitely made my shopping experience a great one. I was THRILLED to find a Sprouts here!! It, and Trader Joe's, are my favorite grocery stores in Colorado. I called, and they don't make chicken sausage in-house, sadly. They do in CO, with a changing roster of flavors like Parmesan and basil, cheddar jalapeño, etc. They DO have fresh chicken sausage in Sweet Italian or Hot Italian, on or out of casings. So I got both. I can add Parmesan and basil to the uncased sausage. The FISH is awesome. I bought some ahi for a fraction of the price it costs near me. The wild-caught fish is frozen and thawed, so you can cook it that night. Farmed fish is frozen. The variety of marinated salmon is incredible! Cold cuts are expensive. Ah well. Did get some small packages, but will probably buy elsewhere in future. The selection of gluten-free breads and desserts is GREAT. But, oddly, no GF tortillas. Four different kinds of Carbonaut bread! Many varieties of Spindrift water! The flavored water selection is outstanding. Service was okay. There is ONE cashier, and there was a man with a huge overfilled cart unloading many, many, many items, so we went to self-checkout. I LOATHE self-checkout with a deep and burning passion. It shouldn't be MY job to scan and bag things. They need to pay at least one more cashier. I accidentally rang up mini cukes three times, and an unhappy monitor had to fix that and other mistakes. Just get another cashier, PLEASE. This lack of service cost one star. The meat department guy was very nice when I called to ask about the sausage and fish before we drove over. He seemed surprised that CO has house-made sausages. I forgot to see if they have exotic meats, like elk and ostrich. CO does. I don't like game, but my mother does. It's a bright, clean, well-organized store. Prices are okay. Self-serve coffee is $17 a pound. I remember when it was $8 a pound in CO, but that was pre-tariffs. Ugh. GF bread is always expensive. Pffft. I will absolutely be returning for more fish and other yummy things. Worth the drive to not pay ridiculous Hamptons prices, IMO. Ahi is about $30 a pound near me. read more

*squints* Is that Whole Foods? Oh, no, it's actually Sprouts Farmers Market. This is the first location on Long Island and it'll be interesting to see just how many more get built. You see, I've taken two trips here now and I'm going to formulate a nice four star review, but remember that initial confusion, because things definitely feel like another store when you're here... I mean, what is nice about Sprouts in Centereach is that it really isn't that big of a store. It feels kind of cozy (if a food store can feel cozy) and definitely inviting into its world of healthier food options. You'll find plenty of organic and cleaner products, plus a nice variety of Sprouts brand stuff. Therein lies the price point that might warrant you to return because, like most healthier products, pricing isn't cheap and Sprouts is filled with items that you'll have to compare with other spots to ensure you're getting a good deal. For Sprouts' own brand, the dollars you'll dole out are a little less...kind of like a different brand (365) at another similar store... And unlike some other, larger, health food stores, you may find some options limiting. My wife and I saw some flavor options missing of a few products we've purchased at other health food spots. Then again, Sprouts also might surprise you with a few items you haven't seen elsewhere. Trying out their coffee beans was fun and flavorful while they have a brand of drink (similar to kombucha) called "tractor" which is specifically sold there. So maybe there's certain customers that will find a nuanced home here. Overall, I can't say Sprouts is going to end up in my/our regular cycle of food store visits. With a few closer locations and a lot of similar stuff available, Sprouts doesn't necessarily have the draw that'll get me to keep returning. Having said that, I see some appeal, and perhaps for those looking for specific items or who struggle with certain allergies or food diets, Sprouts will be a great new food haven for them. I had a fabulous experience at the new sprouts located in Centereach. I came for their grand opening this weekend to give it a look see. The staff were very friendly, happy to help. Busy maintaining shelves finding items for customers and explaining products. The prices are in my opinion average, we are far from the days of everything feeling so affordable. I did find that their product selection differs from other stores, and I was able to find unique products. Great savings if you download their app and I really love their selection of beautiful fresh flowers when you walk in the door. read more

After reading the reviews, I am not sure if folks understand that Sprouts is what Whole Foods used to be before it was taken over by Amazon. Organic and/or Gluten-free items are a bit more expensive in the States plus don't forget this is a new place so rent for the property might be slightly higher. This is my first Sprouts besides the first one in Long Island so not sure how other ones look like. You have to know your pricing before you start shopping. . Though checking the dog treats which is buy one get one 50% off, it was slightly more expensive though with the discount it was cheaper than the ones in another supermarket. Another watermelon drink was more expensive than the other supermarket, since this is a bigger bottle. The muffins are definitely reasonably priced. Where do you find 2 muffins for $5? The meat, seafood, and produce are first rate at a reasonable price with most of it derived from their own ranches and sources. The employees there have been very helpful especially Kevin, Inga, and Angel. They go out of their way to check in back storage if product is not on shelf. Love this place. read more

I'm so excited that Sprouts is finally in NY! We have family in AZ and CA and have always loved visiting Sprouts so I was of course eager to visit their first New York location. Smaller store but still packed with a ton of goodies. I love the take what you need approach for coffee, nuts, flour, etc. The pre-made meals and meal prep options are fresh. Tons of BOGO 50% off deals. Prices on regular everyday items (i.e. bread) are on the higher side but I would not go here for those types of things. Everybody is friendly. Decided to check out this store that recently opened in the area. Walking in, we were pleasantly greeted by multiple employees. And as we walked through the store, employees were friendly. Being new, the store was extremely clean and pristine. Products were perfectly lined on all the shelves and in the cases and everything was well stocked. I found it was definitely on the pricier side. I didn't care for the help yourself endless bins of candy, grains, fruit etc. For me, it's a giant health hazard for contamination. Both my husband and I agreed, this kind of store is in the wrong area and will not last long. read more

Love, love love this recently opened supermarket! It's a full service store with everything from pre-made dinners, to amazing bulk dry goods, to a wonderful health and beauty aids section(with a knowledgeable expert on site)....Fresh sushi, as well as a great produce section, varied meat options for everyone's palate , and a very good dairy department included. A deli department offering Boars Head cold cuts are also available. I particularly love their oven roasted chicken beast! It's just an overall wonderful shopping experience at Sprouts! Their prices are very, very competitive and fair. My husband and I enjoy going every few days just to browse, and always find something to bring home! We used to love the one in Boynton Beach, Florida when visiting my parents: now we have our very own to enjoy right here on Long Island! If you're ever in the Centereach area, stop by. First time shopping at this location. Not impressed, asked one of the representatives (looked like a floor lead/manager) if they had fresh cut up fruit and he said he'd check. several minutes went by and he never got back to me. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited several more minutes and nothing. finished shopping and headed to checkout and saw said representative deep in conversation with another representative. asked checkout girl if they had any fresh cut up fruit coming out, she called produce and they said they hadn't gotten shipment. totally fine, just hated that I had go searching for someone else when the store had just opened and was not busy at all. read more

Unfortunately I was more than disappointed. I've been waiting for a new store to open in the area so there would be more competitive shopping. Sadly, the prices are just too high. I can go elsewhere for many of the same things that are priced lower. I can't believe how much they wanted for the pre made dinners. I understand making a profit, but whoever thought their pricing was competitive and fair doesn't shop in normal places. I do t see this place lasting too long. read more

SPROUTS FARMERS MARKET does offer continuous excellent weekly sales, and they've come to play no games in providing a varying array of quality wholesome foods and wellness products. Centereach and it's surrounding area health conscious folks, as well as creative home cooks have now been presented with some staple essentials of inspirational cheffing pizzazz, that you didn't know you wanted til you gottem!! I completely forgot that mention, one of my favorite things, as I'm on a budget is finding the marked down prepared food items! I've probably tried almost all and loved everything!! What I find great about it, is the display cases are closely monitored, so I'm not feeling like I'm getting food that's trying to be sold off if not appropriate for customer sale. Came here with my daughter for the new sprouts. She works at Whole Foods and she even said this place was more expensive than Whole Foods which means whole check that was surprising. Everything was sprouts name no alternative even on paper products which they didn't even have bounty or Scott tissues which is a little disappointing and I think they were just a little too expensive for my taste. deli was small, and the meat department was even smaller, more marinated meats and chicken than they had in the showcase, which was disappointing. read more

such a let down. Their prices are way more expensive than any other store. CVS had lesser evil popcorn for $2.99 a target has it normal price everyday $3.19 but huge on sale sign for sprouts wanting 2 for $8 on sale. if you don't know your prices you will be scammed. Painter land yogourt was on sale at Whole Foods 2 for 4 yet sprouts was 2 for 6 . I don't understand why a brand new store wouldn't try to beat the area sales why would we want to go to sprouts and pay more. I left and went to Whole Foods and compared the price I took photos of at sprouts and saved $45.76 by going to Whole Foods in stead of buying the exact same items at sprouts. very disappointed! read more

I have to say I am so excited to have a Sprouts nearby!! I went to one in AZ and love it! This new store is so big and bright. I went to the grand opening and Amanda was so helpful on the self check out. I didn't have the app and she showed me how to get the barcode so I could get the 20% off. I went back again this week and she helped me find the apples I was looking for and pointed out the already seasoned salmon when I told her I was headed over to look at the salmon section.
