The staff and Store Manager were very friendly. They informed us that Cedric and Anthony were running late due to traffic and passed out water to everyone. Once the Meet and Greet started all i can say is WOW. Cedric and Anthony were VERY FRIENDLY AND TOOK PICTURES WITH EVERYONE. I didn't feel rushed. I bought 4 bottles of their BBQ Sauce (Greet Price) and can't wait to try it. Heard great things about the Sauce. They also had giveaways Afterwards I did my grocery shopping. I bought eight pieces of chicken and two one‑inch‑thick ribeye steaks, but hunger clouded my judgment. The chicken was very dark brown, which I assumed was due to seasoning, but it turned out to be burnt and mostly inedible. I also shouldn't have purchased the steaks -- they felt room temperature in the store, and I had no idea how long they'd been sitting out. When I got home, they smelled clearly rancid. I'll be throwing out the remaining chicken and steaks tomorrow. At this point, a health inspector needs to take a look. I won't be returning.

My experience at WinCo today was met with a sour note…read more I tried a free sample, came back to return the bag that I was originally going to purchase, and then explained it was because I wanted another option. They kindly told me which aisle the other options were, but they also asked me to bring back the product they ran out for samples for. I expressed I was personally in a rush because my party was at check out, also on a schedule. I couldn't find it, so I told them and they asked for me to stay put to man the station while they went to grab it. I see a few problems with this approach. Firstly, it puts a lot of pressure on me, a customer, to bring back the right product. WinCo is big and I couldn't find the product. Secondly, they should have had an employee be back up to look after the station, and not a customer that was wanting to leave. This is also a lesson learned for myself because I personally should have said "no" to the asks to begin with. In terms of groceries, I was impressed by the variety. However, I wouldn't say it's the best priced as most items are by the pound. Some items are obvious good deals, like 25lb of carrots for $11 and $0.33 per ear of sweet corn. The interior is simple with no theatrics. A huge variety of products on display. However, if you're looking for a specific product, that's difficult as evident from my experience. Lastly, they have a Pokémon Center vending machine. I purchased a few available packs but my last pack was never dropped down. WinCo doesn't manage the machine as its third party, so I had to call the number on the machine for a refund. It was inconvenient to say the least. Overall, I think this is a great grocery store for the community. However, boundaries must be set with employees' expectations of customers.

Disappointing After Giving This Store Multiple Chances…read more The store itself generally appears clean, and I will say that many of the employees I have encountered have been pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, after giving this location multiple chances, there are too many ongoing issues for me to overlook. I have personally seen moldy bread, moldy vegetables, and even moldy cheese still available for purchase. I have also noticed fruit flies or gnats flying around the produce. Regardless of how clean the store may appear overall, seeing spoiled food and insects around fresh produce makes it very unappealing and difficult to feel comfortable purchasing those items. Customer service is also very inconsistent. While some employees are wonderful, I have encountered rude and unprofessional behavior from certain employees, including management. The pickup service has been another disappointment. I have received substitutions that were completely different from what I ordered, items have been missing, and there have been times when an employee brought my groceries out, loaded them into my trunk, slammed the trunk closed, and simply walked away without saying, "You're all set," "Thank you," or anything at all. A small amount of courtesy goes a long way. I understand that staffing may sometimes be an issue, but customers should still be able to expect fresh food, properly maintained produce areas, reasonable substitutions, and courteous service. I have continued shopping here and given this store plenty of opportunities because I hoped things would improve, but unfortunately, I'm reaching the point where I feel it may be time to take my business elsewhere. I really hope management takes these concerns seriously because this store could be so much better with more attention to food quality, cleanliness around the produce, and consistent customer service.
