Unfortunately, they were out...But they did have some other chocolate chips option that I decided to wait to potentially purchase later down the line (I have chips, I just wanted to buy the dark chocolate one in particular because it's actually mostly just chocolate unlike other brands I've seen, and for a reasonable price!). Regardless what time you visit, TJ is alway busy. I had to stop by to pick up some flowers for an arrangement even though they just opened up not that long ago and it was already pretty busy. But I can say that their selections of fresh flowers are top notch. Not only that, but the potted plants are amazing as well. Perfect for the home or for gifts, you can't go wrong. Their selections of roses, all color and different varieties are amazing. Of course as it's spring, they started with the lilacs which were so beautiful and well price. Whatever fresh cut flowers you crave, I'm sure they have them. Plus they were going pretty fast as most of the people that walked in all seemed to grab a couple of bundles for their shopping carts. This is my go-to Trader Joe's! I come here maybe 2-3 times a week for our regular household items, new drops, BAG DROPS! All the staff are friendly here, even when you call to ask a question, they're super nice. They're usually well stocked, I 99% of the time always leave with what I want or came for. The flowers selection is always on point. Love their seasonal flowers, especially when the peonies are in season! Parking can be a hit or miss but I feel all Trader Joe's parking is kinda like that. read more

vibrant store with a very different vibe from what I experience in San Francisco. Youngish engaged customers / and crew on this Sunday evening. Large shopping Center parking lot that was very busy. the clientele trended much younger and more Haight like then I had expected. shelves were well stocked for late on a Sunday, in San Francisco it's normally for popular items to have run out plus spied some new items. My shop was for some bottles of water, and resisted numerous enticing impulse buys. Also there was a very busy brightly lit food stall at the corner. I was highly tempted to try their offerings, but after a long day of travel wanted to chill at a table for dinner. I'll happily come back my next time in Long Beach. read more

So shout out for Joe and Jaime my favorite Herbert... Joe always is ready to move and help. He has nervous legs just like I do so I recognize that that is a hard worker. He's ready to do whatever you need to do. Herbert outstanding individual as well as worker he actually helped me put a necklace on cause I couldn't do it by myself so that was cool and he's always a joy to see and talk to and then there's honey who is got to be one of your best workers. He is willing and able to get everything done and I did buy a steak today. That is great value. It's always fresh the New York steak and I went in there for some potstickers and ended up walking out with $67 worth of stuff but it's all good and of course, the store itself keeps a great ambience about it. Everyone is smiling and happy to help! And I noticed your big dogs managers were in there today. What a great company Trader Joe's is, and I probably should put this phone down and go online and see if you're hiring at that location is the one I want! I have 27 years of senior IT management and in between I did retail just because I love retail so I worked at Saks off fifth Avenue on market Street in San Francisco, which was a sweet gig! And I was in the men's department and being a woman that was a treat for me ha ha I was also assistant manager for pottery barn in Leesburg Virginia, which is in the DC area and that was amazing also. This is easily one of the best Trader Joe's within Long Beach. Let me use a phrase you don't usually have paired with TJs. Parking is ample here. Yes really. The people working are beyond kind and helpful. I can't tell you how many times I've sought items and they've either directed me to them, or checked the back and were happy to do it. One employee is a songbird and if you hear him along the aisles you're lucky. I don't have issues with things being open or bad here either which is refreshing. We had a good shopping experience at Trader Joe's today and I wanted to give credit to the young man that made it a pleasure. After we filled our shopping cart with fruits and vegetables and dairy products as well as some yummy frozen selections, it was time to stand in line at one of the checkout counters. The Staff is Fast and Friendly ,always helpful and ready to check you out. This store has a really great selection of Flowers and plants. The only issue is I dread wanting to go there for my weekly Lunches and snacks (lol). The parking lot is always a mess since there is also 4 other Business that use the same area. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a little tough as there's a lot happening at this shopping center and there's a target right next door. Update review. Trader Joe's is the best place to shop whenever I'm in need of good food fresh fruits & vegetables organic is what I'm going for lately and they're reasonably priced here. The store although small is well stocked and I love the staff who go out of their way to help with whatever I'm looking for. Today's visit was random it's hot in Cali and cooler in Trader Joe's here's what I bought. Cherries. The 2024 season has been good so far and they're crunchy firm and not too sweet but they taste great. Organic bananas I prefer organic bananas they taste much better than reg bananas these bananas are firm and sweet I love them sliced in cereal or as they are. TJ Greek yogurt Delicious and not too sweet I also love to add some yogurt to my smoothie. Seafood boil I'm new to this one it has shrimp andouille sausage and clams it was trending on TikTok and looked tasty I'll definitely let you know if I like it. Macaroni and cheese TJ macaroni and cheese is delicious but I did notice they shrunk the package and there's not as much cheese so I add a bit more cheese before I bake it. Turkey Corn Dogs This is my third time purchasing these and I really like them they bake up nice and crunchy and the meat inside is flavorful a side of ketchup or bbq sauce makes this one delicious treat. Plantain Chips They're crunchy slightly salty not sweet I eat them with tuna dips salsa and hummus. Sweet Potatoes A bit pricy at .80 each but it's cheaper than Walmart for $1.67 each I buy and prepare sweet potatoes for my fur baby Dylan Monroe she eats chicken brown rice and sweet potatoes I don't trust packaged dog food. Trader Joe's has great variety of prepared foods cookies sweets salads dips seasonings cereal bread sparkling water liquor meat ice cream & I can usually find 70% of my food products here. Just went into Trader Joe's today around 4:00 and I've never had a bad experience at any Trader Joe's ever until today! I asked a young lady employee a question and she said to me "I meant go ahead and pass me not go ahead and ask me a question." I looked at her in shock that she actually said that in front of another employee. I guess their personal conversation was more important than a customer standing in front of her. First time meeting him. My husband, Rich and I were doing early NY's Eve shopping. We got a bunch of wines to restock our home. The price point value of these wines are OUTSTANDING here. And finally seeing my favorite winery La Crema. I digress but WOODSON not only was a great conversationalist but I loved the way he packed our wine. Closest Trader Joe's to our place, this location is located in the north part of Long Beach. It is part of a large strip mall, so plenty of parking is available. We came around 6 on a Monday, and it was fairly busy but the checkout lines were relatively short. Trader Joes is a place we search out when going on vacation (and we have a rental car and a full kitchen)...it provides a good selection of prepared (i.e. microwavable) meals, prepared salads, snacks, and alcohol. But for normal grocery shopping, it's similar to Costco: go there once a month to restock the things that we really like from Trader Joe's (Mandarin frozen chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Elote seasoning). Meat and vegetables need to be purchased elsewhere. read more

I always love coming to Trader Joe's and never run out of new things to try, especially the classics I love. I've gotten a few plants at a surprisingly great price compared to nurseries and plant shops. It is all worth it if you purchase one that comes in a ceramic or wicker pot. Some of the things I bought on my last visit that I will purchase again are garlic nann chips, garlic paste (similar to the one at Zankou Chicken), confetti cake ice cream, and prosciutto pack. I think the produce is overpriced and always avoid it. I believe their other items can be more expensive, but some are average. They are great for easy things to prep/cook, especially frozen items. They have great options and combinations for snacks and girl dinners. read more

I see them having side bar conversations in the grocery aisles and don't seem approachable and just give off these face gestures. I actually stop going here even though it's the closest to us. Clean and quiet in the early mornings when I've had to stop by for various things. Parking is plentiful, but can get busy on weekends. I can usually find what I want and am in and out within 30 mins. However, it really was not busy for a Saturday and Kayla & Letty, bagger and cashier, would not stop talking while bagging. I could not help, but get frustrated at this, because the bagger kept stopping to talk. I hadn't picked this line either I was waved down from a different line that was moving faster. This is a great location, I must admit, small, but it is Trader Joe's, and it can help the visit quickly and easily. They've got great items here and many that you can't find at most other places. My go-to here is goats' milk. Very hard to find in other stores, but they always have it. Very healthy stuff infact better than cows' milk. The only issue I ever have, which is rare, is parking as it does share a plaza with other businesses and happens to attract the most patrons. Other than that, it's a great store with an awesome ambiance. I can honestly say no other store has more helpful employees who love to say "let me show you " and they always insist on helping.
