It was our first time visiting the center and we really didn't know where to begin. My husband walked over to a gentleman working on a forklift to let him know what we were looking for and ask him where to begin. The gentleman's name was Joe and he dropped everything he was doing to assist us find the type of rocks we were searching for. He helped us take the rocks to be weighed and helped my husband load the rocks into his truck. Joe was very pleasant and made our search easier. I then proceeded to the cashier to pay for the rocks and was welcomed by two friendly cashiers. With all that is going on in today's society, it's pleasant to find a business that still values its customers. Although the weather was crappy, I walked away from Timothy's with a big smile. It was a great reminder that there are still people out there who are willing to go the extra mile to provide exceptional customer service. When I tried to return the overpriced Wisteria, that was still in the same condition as when I purchased it from Timothy's, the manager was rude and refused to do the return. Very bad business. I almost used my surplus to buy some chicks, they are sold here from March through August I was told. The store has an ancient feel that was comforting and I enjoyed just looking at what they had in stock. I made mental notes on a few things to pick up in the future. I was instantly drawn to the eclectic/bohemian decor with a touch of vintage romance and felt right at home. There were fresh flower arrangements that were adorably displayed in a dresser, and an armoire full of dried flowers and vessels with a "design your own arrangement" option. Every plant looked well loved and taken care of which made it that much more difficult for me to choose one - there were just too many calling my name. There was also a variety of beautiful planters and plant supplies that made it easy to visualize how to style any of their plants. I opted for a moonlight snake plant and a gorgeous wreath that was handmade by the owner herself. She was so friendly and welcoming, and went as far as to let me know that she would be willing to help me find a plant I may be interested in if they do not have it in store, which is something I really appreciate in any business. When I told her we were instructed by our landscape architect to come today at the appointed time, she continued to berate us, stating this breaks the rules and only landscaper is allowed to come. I told her nicely that we were only following instructions and in fact we picked up an order there in June, no problem, no yelling, nasty Heidi. Never going back. She and Pleasant Run have lost my good business forever! No customer should ever be spoken to and treated so poorly and unprofessionally. The one star is for the workers that loaded my plants.

While every other place seems to still be trying to sell their spring annuals Slifko's has a great variety of some of my favorite summer perennials. Lupine, Delphinium, Fox Glove, Columbines, and plenty of other stuff. I like being able to buy plants like that before they're already blooming so I get the full extent of their blooming period.
