I told Danny - the girl doing my facial - that I was in heaven! That was before the extractions - then I was in hell. I'm not sure I want to go through that amount of pain and discomfort on a monthly basis - had I known! Before starting my facial, however, there seemed to be a confusion as to what facial I was "entitled to", so Danny went to the front desk and verified! She then proceeded with the facial. When I went to check out, Danny had lined up three products on the counter that she recommended. It felt very much like a sales pitch and not at all "natural". I had already stated in my check-in form that I already had a facial routine in place at home which included an anti-aging Serum - so why would I want another one? Also, why the FPF cream? I've got FPF at home, I just don't use it. Then to my shock, the facial that I had just received had been a Hydro-something which was an "upgrade" to the one included in my Membership. This used up my entire monthly payment of $99, which led me to have to cancel my massage programmed for 21st. The girl at the front desk defended her position by saying she was not aware that I had a massage scheduled for later in the month. Things went from bad to worse rapidly when trying to schedule my September appointment. I said I wanted to do both facial and massage on same day (pretty much to avoid today's confusion). That was when the girl at the front desk told me these people only have the one masseuse for ALL of their locations! First of all, I like trying out different masseuses to then settle for the one that I like, and second of all, I prefer a female masseuse! So not only do I have to schedule my appointment around this guy's availability but the day that I see him, when our schedules collide, I'll have a massage from an over worked masseuse, the one who's been doing massages all day, the one who's been bounced around from location to location! Today was my first appointment as mentioned and probably my last! I signed a document which obliges me to be with them for three months! But I don't want to go back. They only have one masseuse. A male. I prefer female. Plus I don't want to have to plan my appointments based on when he'll be in the Doral location! Why should I?
