However, it was a goal to check out the lodge so that I could attest to others on its history. Emily at the front desk was so nice as well as the manager. They allowed me to walk the hotel, have coffee and cookies, take in the historic site and relax. I asked could I see one of the rooms since online the pictures were great and they have kept the original look and feel. the manager said he had step better than a standard room. He handed me a key to look at the Governors suite (see video). I returned the next day after hiking to have lunch and peruse the gift shop. Prices are a little higher, however the food is pretty amazing. I split a burger and chips. Food is great in the bar area. Dinning opens in evening but requires reservations. Pets are allowed for Small fee There is a golf course across the parking lot. Majestic views and well kept greens. don't be surprised but if you find yourself golfing around the deer, elk or wild horses. If you're lucky, you may see snow which makes all that much more beautiful. There is rich history of the lodge hanging in the walls and in areas to read upon. This used to be timber country and the original lodge burned down years and years and years ago. While at the Lodge check out Cloudcroft museum to take in all the history that included the Lodge, baby sanatorium and 1st Calvary visits, where it all started this beautifully small town.

I have had a bad experience staying in a hostel but my wife had never experienced one before. After some convincing we ended up booking with this hostel, and let me tell you I'm so glad we did! It was a very comfortable stay. Everyone respected everyone. We stayed in a private room and the bed was very comfortable. The hostel is right off the main road but surprisingly it was pretty quiet. We slept with the window open and had no problems. The hostel was very clean and the grounds were very well kept. Stephanie was very nice and communicative with us from the time of booking and throughout or stay. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to some friends.

Loved our stay here and if we're ever in the area, we'll definitely be back. When we got there the guy kind of opened the door and let us look inside. My husband paid for the room. We went in to check it out. The beds had dirt in the sheet and debris behind the bed. There was feces on side of toilet. We went back down the stairs and the guy was gone and the place was locked up. We called to cancel and get our money back within less than an hour. The guy flat out refused.

Prices are crazy high too. My son was injured at the end of the day and we had to take him to the local ER. Needless to say, we were not able to return the equipment rentals but were assured by the medic at the ski resort that he would take it back for us. All the while, the owner of ski palace then called and threatened to send me to court for the three days the equipment was not turned in if I didn't pay him $40 for the time he lost on renting the equipment. I understand that this is his livelihood, but when I stated that I wanted to contact the ski resort (before I agreed to pay the $40) just to find out why it wasn't turned in on time, he became irate and told me if I contacted the ski resort about this then I could forget about paying him $40 and he would charge me $140 instead. What the heck?? We ended up paying him $40, never heard back from anyone at the ski resort and the ski palace also ran my debit card without my authorization for an additional $8. My family and I will never do business with the ski palace or ski Cloudcroft again. In my opinion, it's a crooked business they are running and I'd rather go where the customer is appreciated and not treated like they're a dime a dozen.

Sitting out front on the porch in the evening and by 6 o'clock my wife had to go get her jacket. When I sit and watch the sun rise over the mountains in the mornings I have to put 2 hoodies on,,,,,, in mid July! There is cafe diner out front and recently an ice-cream candy shop was added. This is a great place and a good price.

It's Completely ready for you to come up and enjoy your stay at Corina's Grace Way Lodge. It's located in the Cloudcroft NM area outside of the town by several miles. The area is a great place to enjoy nature and the Forest and wildlife. The nice thing is that this is Not Roughing it. This place is nicer than most people's houses. It's only available one rental at a time, but has several bedrooms and can accommodate a small group or family staying together. You'll have to call for more details because I stayed here by myself, so I didn't really pay attention to the total number of people who may get the reservation at the same time. Most people are going to love it here.
