I called them from there and Josh was nothing but a nice and honest. He called me back within minutes with a quote on the repair. My insurance company towed it in to their shop and in 15 minutes being at the, we had an exact estimate in our hands. The mechanic in the back was honest and helpful explaining the situation and what not. They were closing for the day so we locked it up and not being from here, we had to find a place to stay and find a ride. Well every employee at this shop checked on us and made sure we were OK and if we needed a ride they would give us one. Well the owner himself, Terry gave us a ride to a nearby inn. He even walked in with us to make sure we had a room before he drove off. Next morning we stopped by the shop with my situation and Terry and everyone there kindly worked with us. They helped us so much and one day I will return the favor. All in all, this shop is nothing but the best. They definitely have their priorities straight and their customer service is amazing. I wish I could do more for them but I'm hoping that this review will get the word out bout their shop and that they're are great people out there in the world still. I was nervous at first as the internet told me my issue was probably a dealer only fix. The GMG guys told me not to worry they could take care of it. They were very courteous and professional and fair priced. I was back on the road in no time. I took it back cos I thought there was something wrong with the same issue again. After Kevin explained to me what he and his team determined to be at fault with the vehicle, I began to inquire on part replacement cost, labor cost, and how long the repair would take. You know, typical questions any customer would ask and need to ask in order to help make an informed decision. Kevin explained to me they haven't been able to find a replacement part but they were still looking. I then asked what their hourly labor cost were and he replied $95 an hour. I then inquired if he could give me a ball park estimate of how long it would take to complete the job. It was at this time Kevin flipped out and informed me he had no interest in working on or repairing our vehicle. Suspecting they would never get the car out the door because we would later blame and accuse him and his shop for every other thing that were to break on the vehicle. I then informed him that this would not be the case and that I was simply trying to get an idea of what this maintenance action was going to cost. I also suggested and insisted that the conversation didn't have go this way, but he insisted that because he has been in business for over 29 years that he already knew "where this was going". He then told his technician to button the vehicle up and push it outside because they would not be working on the car. After telling me we needed to have the car picked up and taken to another shop he hung up. I have never before experienced such a shady and unprofessional business encounter. I would seriously think twice and seriously consider another shop over Barker's Auto Service even as a last resort, because customer service, care, and empathy are definitely not any of their top concerns based on my experience with them. Hopefully this helps and saves others from having their time wasted, experiencing additional inconveniences and hardships while being without transportation. Best wishes everybody.
