The customer was ready to pay for the extra patty nut, the worker kept saying you should have said that in the beginning. You need to speak up you are not a girl. The customer cancelled his order and left without saying anything that is when the worker made the ANTIBGAY comments. I had to walkout and met up with the customer in the Olympia deli 2 doors down. That's including the ordering, cooking, and paying. I've never had a bad experience with them either. My usual is the bacon, egg, spinach with avocado on a bagel, and it's always so good. Located a block from Washington Square Park, the diner is just outside the southern exit of the A/C/E metro stop. Interestingly, there's another diner outside the northern metro exit, Waverly Diner. My first visit I ordered from the "weekend dinner specials" menu, Romanian steak and shrimp combo. It came with soup (5 choices), salad (choice of dressing), potato (several choices), vegetable (several choices) and a roll. I chose a decent matzo ball soup. The shrimp were fileted and topped with a stuffing that was mostly bread, with a few chunks of seafood that seemed more like smaller shrimp than crab. My potato was baked, fine. My veg was fresh broccoli, simply steamed. A lot of food! My second meal was a grilled cheese sandwich. There were 5 cheese choices (I chose cheddar) and bread choices. I added tomato, bacon and onion rings on the side. A small cup of slaw was included. The sandwich was quite expertly grilled with a good melty cheese pull. It offers a rotating selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, fruit, lettuces, and sometimes casseroles. It's availability is random. I've not seen it set up at the same time twice. I don't know if the food is good. I haven't tried any. A large selection of cold beverages (soda, beer, milk, seltzer, juices, and more) is at the back of the store. Sandwiches and deli items are offered up front, and grocery items are in the middle. This place will do in a pinch.

The location is pretty optimal too as it's right next to Walkers coffee to grab coffee right after also. Would definitely return here.
