***PARENTS OF THE BRIDE REVIEW*** You have seen our daughter's review, so we thought it was only fair that we provide information from our vantage point as well. My wife and I have been staying at the Square Inn for many years now and have always been impressed with the wonderful hospitality provided by Marci, Lloyd and their team. From the wonderful rooms to the fresh cooked breakfast's every morning it is more like visiting family than staying in a bed and breakfast. When they started construction on their Legacy Lounge our only daughter was already engaged and looking for a venue. We immediately recommended that she consider having her wedding here and once she had a chance to take a look she was sold as well. From the very beginning Marci was there to help with suggestions for the wedding and referrals to local businesses that could help us put together the wedding my daughter wanted. Given that our daughter informed us in November she wanted to be married in late April or early May I do not think we could have put this together without her. In the end we booked not only the Legacy Lounge but all 8 rooms of the Square Inn as well. I highly recommend this arrangement as there were enough rooms for the wedding party and increased the footprint of the event allowing for a truly unique experience. We would find out as time went on that the value received on our money was greater than what we believe we would have received at any of the other venues we looked at. Marci, Lloyd and their team were again on point on the day of the wedding providing the services of wedding coordinator, bar staff and entertainment coordinator. There was never a long line at the bar. When some guests wanted to watch the hockey playoffs Marci made that happen on an outside TV. Fire Pit? Here came Lloyd to make the fire come to life. It was almost as if it were if it was one of their own children was getting married that day. At the end of the evening when it was time to go, we moved the happy couple to the front of the Square Inn where they were able to say goodbye to all their guests and finally relax for the evening. As we had booked all the rooms, only the wedding party remained after the ceremony and reception and the bride and groom were able to spend a quiet night in the courtyard with their closest friends relaxing after what had been a couple of very busy and stressful days. This was the most unique wedding we have ever attended and we cannot think of anything that could have made it better. If you are looking for a somewhere to hold a special event, do yourselves a favor and give the Legacy Lounge / Square inn a look. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. read more

Super cute, cozy, & clean B&B. One of the more reasonably priced places in Wimberley. Located right off the Square so easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the creek. I recommend Kiss the Cook (souvenirs, kitchen gadgets, coffee, etc) and Wimberley Cafe (good burgers and pie). The courtyard is beautifully decorated and relaxing. Plenty of FREE breakfast & pre-packaged snacks available even during COVID (cereal, Nutri-grain and Nature Valley bars, Chewy bars, muffins, coffee, orange juice, apple juice, pudding packs, fruit cups, yogurt, chips, milk and water for $1). Stayed in the Maeson room. You have to exit the home into the courtyard to access this room, but I liked the privacy. Very comfortable king size bed, fresh linens, very spacious room w/ mini fridge, microwave, and tv, not much counter space in the bathroom though. Hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming. My sister got married last week in Wimberly, TX. Our family thought, "this is so random". Neither of the families lived there and most of us had never heard of Wimberly. Then my sister said she had booked us at The Square Inn and gave us room arrangements. I had flown in leaving MD at 4 am then getting to Dallas and then drove an hour. It felt like it was 5 in the afternoon but in reality it was 11am. We walk into the Square Inn and was greeted by the owners. It never even hit my mind from the crazy traveling, check in was at 3 PM. To be honest I didnt think about it till others said there hotels would not let them early check in. When meeting the owners, it felt like family. It almost felt like we were all coming home. They were so great. They let us in early and was cool enough to say, "we need to run out before the others come, you are in charge." The whole place was beautiful and amazing. Every room was perfect for single friends, to my other sisters and my crazy, but loveable nephews. Mr. Loyd one of the owners was like a natural grandfather with letting the boys run around but also telling them to close the door to keep AC inside. Lol My favorite spot was the court yard. It looks like something out of a movie. Plus when it rains you can sit and watch the rain hit the roof. It's so peaceful. So on top of a friendly, welcoming, beautiful space to stay and socialize, they also cook breakfast. Let me tell you it was the best food I have ever had at a bed and breakfast place. We could smell the bacon at 6 am. Yum yum So hands down this is place to stay in Wimberly. Its walking distance of all the cool shops and places to eat in town. read more

Cons: * There were mosquitoes CONSTANTLY flying around our room. We never left the door open, so I don't know how they kept coming in. (This was the biggest con) * When we placed the "service our room" card on our door, no one ever came to fix the bed or resupply fresh towels. We were gone for like the whole day, and no one came, so that wasn't nice * The water pressure in the shower was too hard * The bathroom floor would get soaking wet anytime we took a shower because the curtain wouldn't stay closed all the way to prevent the water from going outside the tub. * When they gave us the wifi password they spelled it with a capital T, but really it was all lowercase, so we had a hard time getting the WiFi to work until we called the front desk. Pros: * it is within walking distance to all the little stores and Wimberley cafe. * the staff is friendly. * The price of the room is reasonable They just need to fix all the cons listed, and I think they would have a fine place to stay. Very unique and quirky. Also, I do think it would be nice if they had cable television. read more

My man did very well finding this B&B for our short stay in Wimberley. I don't know which was better, the gracious hospitality of the owners' and their family or our very comfortable room. The breakfast, served from 0800-1000 is also awesome. We stayed in the "Lauren" room located by the back patio area. The entire establishment is quiet and clean and I loved having a mini fridge in the room. The Inn is centrally located and quaint shops and restaurants are right outside the door. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Myself and my fiancee recently visited Square Inn, and were very pleased with our stay. The Lauren Room was clean, with warm, rustic interiors and a fabulously comfortable king-size bed. The patio located just a few steps from our door was spacious; nice place to hang out before venturing to either Marco's Italian or Cypress Creek for dinner (both restaurants, by the way.. wonderful). Square Inn is walking distance from some truly amazing dining, along with quaint knick knack shops (soaps, candy, etc.)-- not to mention you're swimming the Blanco, or tasting at Wimberley Valley Winery, in just a few minutes' drive. Can't beat that. Which reminds me: amenities included a big-screen t.v. in the common area, a decent library of DVD'S, an Xbox 360 game console with games, and complimentary wine in the afternoon and evenings. Really, really nice being able to wind down for the night with a movie, and a glass or two from Duchman Winery. Marci, our innkeeper at Square Inn, was very friendly, and courteous, even during a fluke front-door locking mechanism malfunction which resulted in our having to wake her up. read more

Nice location just off the main square. Great location to explore the Wimberley area from. Well kept, nicely appointed rooms. Owner is very attentive and courteous. Excellent pricing, often lower than other B&B's in the area. I stayed a night mid-week. If you want to stay over the weekend, make your reservations early. It often fills up on the weekend. Okay. We ended up in wimberley on the coldest days of the year for my wife's 50th birthday. We arrived on Thursday and joined by our two adult sons. We were lucky to have made reservations at the Square Inn. This place is quaint and hip at the same time. Our room/suite was large and clean and really comfy. The staff and owners were great and accommodating. We had to leave early due to the weather so we really couldn't enjoy all of the amenities, but we r definitely going to return. The Square Inn is a great choice for being close to the Square. Lots of great places to walk to and enjoy. Can't wait to go back and we will absolutely b staying at the Square Inn. The Square Inn was perfect for my husband and I's Anniversary Getaway. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Wonderful breakfast served every morning with plenty of shopping steps away. Our room was warm and quaint - bathrooms with recent update and decor. We loved that the B&B had 24 hour come and go as you need as we were attending a wedding outside of town. Each room felt like it had it's own private oasis as it faced in to a beautiful courtyard area to sit and drink your morning coffee or a glass of wine. We can't wait to visit Wimberley again and stay at this adorable little B&B! read more

Great place to stay! Our family rented two rooms (Chandler and Keegan) for five days leading into Christmas. The Inn was quaint and cute and decorated nicely for Christmas. The rooms were very nice, and Chandler is big enough to be a small apartment. We were super comfortable. The front "living" area was cozy and comfortable to sit and read or visit by the fire and the Christmas tree. The courtyard was very nice. The heater was out of butane, so a little chilly in the evening. Location couldn't be more convenient to the shopping on the square. If down home comfort and convenience appeal to you, this is the place. No prepared breakfast due to COVID. Just gives us a reason to come back. read more

Fantastic! Feels just like Wimberley: quaint and welcoming! The room was spacious, very clean, and well cooled even during the hot summer sun. All the details were great: towels were fresh and soft, wifi was fast, bed was comfortable, shampoo was even great! But the location was amazing! Right on the square, so my wife and I literally walked almost everywhere! If we needed to refresh our drink, we simply walked back to the room. No problem! Now the food. Breakfast is served daily and is delicious! In addition, they have a great selection of coffees, teas, and cocoas! Snacks like chips, pound cake, muffins, granola bars, microwave popcorn, etc. were available all day. Can't say enough good things about this gem! Wouldn't change a thing! read more

For our first visit to Wimberley, Tx, we picked a winner! The owners are so gracious & accommodating. Location is perfect walking distance to local shops, dining & galleries. Outlet mall shopping in San Marcos is only a 20 min drive. My mother and I spent one night at the Square Inn. They were extremely accommodating even though we could only spend one night when they normally have a two night minimum. The room was very spacious, decorated perfectly and very clean. The inn was fully booked but you wouldn't even know it because it was so nice and quiet. We felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. The owners are so very nice and informative. The inn is walking distance to many shops and dining options. We weren't able to stay for breakfast but it smelled delicious. We will definitely be going back!! read more

this is the worst service I've ever received at a bed and breakfast. They took 20 mins to show up at the front desk when we arrived. they are charging us for damages they refuse to show us documents of. i went back and forth emailing the so called staff there and she told me she didn't have time for my problems. when I asked for her bosses number she gave me her fiances number. which, big surprise was no help because he would only side with her. he said hes the gm and theirs no higher position then him which is a lit because every gm has a boss and while we were there a lady was talking to them about things they needed changed who i'm assuming is Marcilia B. the owner. also the couple who runs the place was arguing so loud while we were there we could hear it from our room, when i went to see what was going on i saw her yelling at him.There was NEVER anyone at the front desk the whole time we were there and they lied about their medicine variety they claim to have. I'm pregnant and can only have Tylenol which the claimed they had in their "large variety" which only consisted of off brand aspirin. when i emailed them asking for documents all they did was argue with me (a customer) instead of trying to resolve the problem. I don't recommend to anyone to stay here or waste your money because you will only get horrible service. DO NOT GO HERE WASTE OF MONEY. read more

This is a quiet little place with 6 rooms. The innkeeper, Marci, serves breakfast every morning in the common area. According to her, this place is a labor of love, and it shows. The beds are comfortable and the atmosphere is peaceful. I will definitely be staying again next spring. If you are visiting Wimberly for the Square, the inn is literally a stone's throw away. read more
