I stopped in for a takeout lunch and grabbed four slices and a drink. Normally when I try a pizza place I go for the plain cheese slice first (b/c if you can't do that well I'm not interested in anything else) but they didn't have any available so I'll go slice by slice with this review. First up was the White Pizza, simple pie with Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmigiano. This wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't very flavorful. Most places will use a garlic and herb base or something to give it some extra flavor but this was just ok. The Chicken-Bacon-Ranch was probably the best of the four I tried, though it was a little light on the toppings. If it had a bit more chicken and/or bacon I would have enjoyed it a lot more than I did but overall it was good, but could be much better. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was not what I am used to. I'm spoiled by the version that Hometown Pizza does where the chicken chunks are breaded and sauced and the finished pie is topped with bleu cheese dressing. This was a pizza with shredded chicken and hot sauce so, technically buffalo chicken but like the other slices, lacking on the toppings so hard to say it was anything other than just "OK". The Big Mac slice was really the biggest disappointment. First off, the Big Mac is a BURGER and there was hardly any burger on the pizza at all. Though there were some sesame seeds present there were none on the crust. The primary toppings here seem to be the 'sauce' and lettuce which tasted more like Russian dressing than "Big Mac" sauce. It's a nice enough place, cozy inside and the staff is friendly for the most part, I wouldn't mind sitting down for a nice lunch but, as many others have mentioned there are a LOT of good pizza places within a short distance so I'm not sure I'll be coming back anytime soon. I'm not sure why they're so light on the toppings but if your slice pies are that skimpy there's no way I'd order a whole pie. Barely three stars.

There are seats inside, but it seems like this is more of a take out kind of vibe so I ordered everything to go. The pizza: well that was disappointing. The ratio is all wrong - needs way more meat on it. Not a fan. The salad: not quite what I was expecting. It was big but not enjoyable. Ingredients didn't seem very fresh. With so many other great places to grab pizza from in Glastonbury (Angelo's, Giovanni's, etc) I would recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for a good pie!

Thin crust (my preference) that's chewy and flavorful. I'm usually not a big fan of chicken on pizza but theirs is chopped up finely which I really like! The shawafel grinder is awesome! I ordered a medium Franklin Ave Special Pizza from NB House O' Pizza through DoorDash. It had crispy breaded chicken pieces, tomatoes, spinach, mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, olive oil and spices. Does somebody on Hartford's Franklin Ave serve a pizza with these ingredients? Is there an entirely different Franklin Ave that inspired this pizza? These are questions that I have. In any event, the pizza was overall very good. I'd say the crust is just to the left of middle on the CT pizza thickness scale. For this crust style, it was crispy in the right places and good chewy in the right way. The toppings were mostly very good. The tomatoes seemed like Romas cut across the short way to make full rounds. The best pizza bites featured bursts of tomato juice, spinach and understated, but flavorful garlic. The ricotta was decent, but it was spread a little wide and thin. I'd prefer less spread and thicker accents. I didn't love the chicken. The crispy and seasoned breading had a large presence. No doubt, the chicken worked better here as an intermittent cut topping than it would have worked as a standalone chicken dinner. But the flavor was still strong. I might order this pizza again, but I might try to substitute sausage or meatball for the chicken. Four Stars for New Britain House of Pizza. I definitely saw enough to order from them again, but I'd probably order something at least a little different.
