We chose the cheapest option, $40/person for ayce dinner. The wagyu meat is very tender. The $40 option had 3 types of wagyu meat to choose from. The lamb shoulder is alright. They only had one cut of lamb though. The Thai tea is really creamy and delicious. Drinking it helped curb the spiciness of the soup and my dipping sauce. The fried buns were not crispy at all, sadly. The wagyu on rice was very sweet so I didn't want to eat it. The bar where we could get vegetables and seafood was pretty standard. I noticed one of the fish fillets was still frozen so I didn't get it. The meat quality is high, but it's very expensive for hotpot here. The ordering process was not great. We could enter our options into the iPad, but we can't submit the order ourselves. We have to wait for a waiter to come to our table to submit the order. A little inconvenient if you ask me. We chose the big hotpot bowl (no dividers) and the strainer scoops kept falling into the soup. We had to fish them out with our chopsticks a lot.

Great hot pot! The broth was tasty, food was fresh, and the best part was drinks included. Lots of choices and everything came out hot and fast. Fun place to eat and very filling. I will come back again!

This hot pot place was so good! The soup was hot and tasty, and there were lots of meats, veggies, and noodles to pick from. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. The drinks were great too! Sweet, cold, and perfect with the hot food. I really liked having a drink while eating hot pot. The place was clean, the people were nice, and the food made me happy. I want to come back again with my family. Very good food!

We stopped in for a late lunch and beat all the crowds! The new all inclusive menu offers many options to satisfy what you are looking for. We went with the basic option that was delicious my favorite was the Wagyu Ribeye that was meaty and very tender. Their signature hot pot broth is very tasty and you can choose the spice and numbing level for a custom experience. Very quite cozy location to have a date or night with friends. The the staff is very friendly!!

Squares Hot Pot was a great experience overall. While nothing was overwhelmingly mind-blowing, everything was solid, fresh, and consistent--which is exactly what you want from a good hot pot spot. The broths were flavorful, the ingredients were high quality, and the service was attentive. But let's talk about what really stole the show for me--the Chinese donuts. I had never thought to dip them in hot pot before, but wow, was I obsessed! It was such a different take compared to something like bean curd, and the way they soaked up the broth while still keeping a bit of that crispy texture? Absolutely delicious. I found myself going back for more over and over again. If you're looking for a reliable hot pot place where everything hits the mark, Squares Hot Pot is a great choice. And if you haven't tried dipping Chinese donuts in your broth yet--trust me, you need to! Oh and their drinks that they had at their drink station were also good!

My friend was raving about Squares, but I really think there are much better options for AYCE hot pot in the DFW area. It's a really small space, and the buffet area is pretty sad. You can't order by yourself, so you constantly flag down the waiters. Their dessert options are similar to ones you can find at a $15 buffet. The broths are just okay, and the meat options are alright as well. A lot of food options require extra charges. There's so many hot pot places in Plano now, and for the price of Squares, I guarantee you can find a better one with higher quality ingredients and broth.

Delicious Sichuan hot pot buffet. Great meats selection and soups. Wonderful services plus we live complimentary Bingsu. Good atmosphere as well.

Almost empty on a beautiful Saturday lunch-time.

UN-BE-[don't want to]-LIE-VABLE!!! It is just too damn good!! Wonderful service: the staff floated around like they were dancing in a choreographed ballet!!. Wonder meat quality & selection of vegetables & whatever ELSE your hearts (or stomach) might want!!. Dessert was a wonderfully light ending to a very wonderful meal. I can't wait for them to expand into a larger facility maybe the Japanese restaurant on the corner end~cap that's gone out of business? .

Only $19.99 for lunch and it's all you can eat, what's there to not love? Self service and sauce bar had everything i would want at a hot pot place as well

    Drinks area. Super clean.

Food is good, service is great and price is fair. Soft drinks, bottles of tea are included. Will come back and recommend to everyone.

Definitely one of my favorite hot pot spots in Dallas and definitely my favorite tomato soup base! It's so incredibly flavorful everything I put in there tasted absolutely delicious! Love that this place is AYCE too and I think the menu was pretty robust. The sauce bar was so so good too, so many options to make a great sauce! The service was really great too they were super patient with our party that had 2 young children and we bothered them a lot to which they responded super quickly as well! It was so good I took my mom here two days after my first visit!

Red broth was mild spicy but still had a nice kick

The service is really great. Be aware they do not accept AMEX. Clean inside with tables appropriately spread out away from sauce and apps bar. The meat and seafood items were fresh so I don't really have any complaints. I would love to see a better apps and dessert section.

The broths here were very flavorful. We came on a Saturday for dinner and there was no wait for a table. All you can eat around $35/person. You order your items on an iPad the waitress come by to check off the items. Overall it was a good hot pot, I was hoping to see more vegetables options to the hot pot. They have a sauce bar, and a small deserts bar.

How much is the AYCE and what is included in the menu?

$40 per person for cheapest dinner option

    Do you guys do reservations?

Yes, we do allow reservations for a party of 6 or above. You can book a reservation by simply giving us a call.

Is there an English takeout menu or website?

    Yes

    Is there a takeout option?

Is there an option for a meatless AYCE hotpot that is discounted? I'm vegan and would like to eat restaurant hot pot, but have never found a place that's worth it economically since every place includes the price of meat in the charge.

I did not see that as an option on the menu. I don't think they would be able to do that but you can order a la carte. That might be more economical and practical for you.

I have had the strangest dining experience here at this restaurant today. The food, most of it was…read moreamazing, the service, not so great. There was no wait to grab a table for lunch for me and my dining partner. The dining area was quite large, and they have two private dining rooms off to the side. The first struggle was they have no hard copy menu, as they request that you scan a QR code to see the menu on your wireless device. Some of us don't embrace technology and that is okay. To make up for the lack of hard copy menus, they offered to let us use their tablets to peruse the menu. The service itself was lackadaisical, although the food came out quickly, and steaming hot (yay!). It took forever to get water refills to the point that I got up and refilled our glasses myself. Also, no condiments on the table, so I also had to grab those. We started out with an order of the scallion pancake, which was tasty and abundant. Then we ordered two of the Chang's dumplings which were out of this world amazing! The dumplings were soft and the spicy sauce they were in was delectable! For our entrees, we ordered Deep Fried Chicken with Roasted Chilis, the Basil Eggplant, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and an order of their Shrimp Fried Rice. The Deep Fried Chicken with Roasted Chilis arrived, and while the chicken itself was amazing, the plate was mostly roasted chilis and not enough chicken. I chose this dish having seen serveral other tables order, and their dishes were brimming with chicken. Our, not so much. The Basil Eggplant was incredible. The flavor and the crispy outside make this dish great!! The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was a disaster. Most Asian eateries that I have been to, the shrimp are ginormous, with a light batter, and one of my favorites. At Sichuan Folk, the shrimp were heavily battered, extremely greasy, and the shrimp themselves were tiny, evidenced after removing the super thick batter. Do not order this dish. The shrimp fried rice was an extremely enjoyable surprise. The texture of the rice was fantastic, and the amount of shrimp, peas, carrots and egg was generous. Definitely will order this again. The service is what really surpised me the most. We didn't feel welcome, as we had to ask several of the waitstaff for silverware, napkins, and bowls to mix our soy sauce and chili paste. Those Chang's dumplings and the Basil Eggplant, along with the Shrimp Fried Rice are enough to make us want to come back and give it another try, after researching the menu some more.

The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork. The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed! We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

I'm glad that I finally tried it though. My favorite part about this place was all the side dishes. They were all very high-quality and delicious. It was the first time I tried 1000 year-old egg. The presentation was beautiful and the Szechuan added a nice kick to it. The fried pork belly was crispy outside and still juicy inside. The fried bean curd was perhaps my favorite; a lightly breaded crispy exterior with a delicately soft interior. When you order the fish soup, you get to choose additional ingredients to add inside. We picked little mushrooms, wide noodles, and green leafy veg. The mushrooms were so small that they kind of got lost in the soup so I probably wouldn't recommend those. However, the wide noodles were excellent with a nice chewy texture. The soup itself was sour but not as sour as I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. Next time I would like to try the combination, fish and beef soup. The homemade milk mochi was amazing. You cannot skip this dessert. 5-stars. The four of us split the soup for three and it ended up being around $30 per person. This was for lunch and we were very full afterwards.
