    Fresh cut!

Larissa is honestly just amazing. After reading these reviews we took our baby boy here from 6 months old and he's been going ever since (once every six weeks). She is understanding, patient, takes loads of time with them, and is does such an amazing job. Our dog LOVES going to see her, every time we pass by the shop on our walks he tries to go in and see his friend. I cannot say enough good things about Larissa she's just amazing.

My Baby Phoebe after her grooming

Larissa is an excellent groomer and her place is spotless. I am very happy w my baby Phoebe's first grooming and will be using her regularly. She is also a dog mommy and truly cares about the doggies.

I use to have to "drug" my dog (use CBD) to get groomed and take him to the vet to get his nails done! My dog doesn't need to be drugged and enjoys going to get groomed! He walks right in and is not stressed before or after his groom! I have very specific instructions that she always follows and gives me updates to everything done during and after the groom. If your able to get an appointment with her GO!

Larissa is amazing and really takes the time to get to know your dog and help them become familiar with her space. I have a rescue dog who is afraid of new people but she loves going to the Squeaky Clean Grooming and always is so happy when I come pick her up. Fantastic cuts and she always has my Lucy looking fabulous !!

I have been coming to Larissa with my dog, Kacey. i go to her for a particular cut - the teddy bear. She perfects it to how Kacey looks like a toy. Her pricing is affordable. She uses professional equipment and takes extra care of your fur baby. A happy dog is a happy owner, am I right? (:

    Day One groomed

Larissa was an amazing groomer. She was gentle, patient, and kind to my anxious Morkie who howled bloody murder as soon as I left him. She was able to calm his nerves and get him feeling comfy on the table in no time. His cut has lasted far longer than normal, still looking pretty perfect a month later. See photo attached of the Day One and Month One shots. We loved working with Larissa and cannot wait to go back. Her prices were plenty fair (65 for a small 11lb dog simple cut, nothing fancy) and her service impeccable. We had wonderful conversations as well. Thank you Larissa!

I was introduced to the wonderful services of Larissa Baczyk, Certified Pet Groomer, by the animal rescue I volunteer for. I took in a foster who was a mess and they sent Larissa to pick her up for a grooming. This poor spaniel mix had a rear end that was sopping up urine when she peed and was generally unkempt. Larissa came to my house and Cookie, the foster, was of course terrified being a recent owner surrender. Larissa was warm and caring in coaxing Cookie out from under the chair where she was hiding and was positively wonderful with her! (The pick-up was a special case for the rescue) You know how you can just tell that people are excellent with animals and truly caring souls and LOVES dogs? Larissa is one of those people. Cookie came back to me just a few hours later looking and smelling fresh as a daisy, all perky and happy. Larissa was kind and gentle when meeting my own dog who is a fearful puppy mill survivor and cooed and cuddled her just because she was there. About two weeks later my own dog needed a grooming very badly, since her poodle 'fro was getting out of control. Larissa to the rescue! She was an absolute dream with my Gemma. I'm one of those neurotic pet parents who doesn't trust ANYONE with my dog, especially not the local groomers who basically have the dogs on a human conveyor belt and believe in quantity over quality. Larissa takes one dog at a time and truly shows love and affection for her clients. Her card even says "Free belly rubs and kisses included with every grooming." Gemma came out looking adorable and fabulous. Larissa made sure to use hypoallergenic bath products as I requested for Gemma's itchy skin. Bottom line, this woman loves dogs, she will love your dog and is good at what she does. You will not find a better groomer who takes more time and caring with your pet, believe me, I've tried them all! Note: Squeaky Clean is by appointment only, no walk ins.

I just moved to Astoria and looking for a new groomer. I have a shih tzu and he had the same groomer for 7 years. So i was a bit nervous finding a new one. Larissa did an excellent job! I like that she grooms from her home because i feel like they give more attention rather than the bigger dog grooming places. I gave her Sebastian's shot records and she asked me many questions s about him...allergies, medical conditions, etc. She listened to what i wanted and he was perfect! Very fluffy and white! She keeps records of the grooming g so if you like it she can always reference. Very happy to have found her. Thanks Larissa!

Sprinkles happy after her new haircut :)

Larissa is amazing! Very sweet, genuine and friendly, I felt 150% comfortable leaving my little yorkie, Sprinkles, with her (and I don't trust many people with my dog!) She asked several questions about Sprinkles so that she knew everything about her from issues with her back leg from recent surgery to senior dog issues since my fiancé and I rescued her about a year ago. She took everything into consideration and really cared for her as if it were her own dog. Once grooming was finished I received a call that she was done and ready to be picked up! I walked in to see Sprinkles roaming around as if it were her own home playing with Larissa's two dogs. She looked AMAZING too, absolutely adorable, her cut was perfect & I can say that thankfully I've found our groomer :) Thank you again Larissa!!! Highly recommended!

This is my second time bringing my dog Mylo to Larissa and he looks just as wonderful as the first time! Larissa is so sweet and makes Mylo feel so comfortable and does such a great job each time! Glad I found her!

Writing a review on behalf of my 5 shih tzus. Larissa literally lives right across the street from us and grooms our dogs at her humble abode :) we've been to several groomers but Larissa has honestly been the best one. She's sweet and gentle, and although my dogs may give her a hard time she never fails to lose her patience. My mom adores her too and wouldn't trust anyone else with our pets. She also offers affordable and reasonable prices. Amazing groomer overall:) -the Celi family

Larissa has PERFECTED her schnauzer cut! Bailey looks amazing, best cut he's had...

I am a volunteer adoption coordinator for a rescue out of Oklahoma City. Larissa has been grooming all our rescue dogs that are fostered in the Astoria area. The majority of our dogs are scared, timid and skittish; Larissa works out of her home, she lets her canine clients hang out for a bit until they are more at ease and she only takes one dog at a time so your pet is getting her undivided attention. Larissa is patient, has a very good energy about her. Larissa doesn't rush when grooming she'd rather take a little longer and make sure that our rescues, and my own two Schnauzers come back relaxed, smelling great, looking amazing and what is MOST important to me, they do not come back traumatized; something I've experienced from most local groomers.

So done. Molly has…read morebeen getting groomed by Laura for eight years. She's an excellent groomer, but she is not great at running her business. Molly has had standing appointments every month, but they're not always followed up, and sometimes, I don't even know when her appointments are. I had expressed my concerns with Laura in the past. Last month, I was supposed to go away on vacation. We had already booked Molly's appointment before my vacation, so I wasn't concerned about it. I asked her for a status update on the day of, and she told me that she had moved her appointment date, and "sorry I didn't update." She didn't even ASK ME if this schedule change was okay to begin with! What the hell? Who is she to just move things around without asking me? When I expressed my frustration at the time, she gave me a very curt/dismissive reply. I called her out on it, then she blamed texting as the reason why it came off that way. Then guess what: work on your texting/communication skills, if that's the way you choose to communicate with your clients. Not to mention that whoever is helping her run the business side of things (Tammy) has been super rude. She even tried to get me to RETROACTIVELY sign a fuel surcharge document for the prior month, when this had never been discussed with me. All of her responses (via text) are super curt, dismissive, and rude. That air of superiority does not work for me. All of the negative reviews about the customer service are accurate. Things were so bad at that time that I texted Laura and said that while I've appreciated everything she had done for Molly, we were going to have to part ways. She and I discussed it, and I was convinced to stay with her. She told me about what she had been struggling with, and I was compassionate to her situation. Things got better for a bit, but not for long. That's the key issue with this place: there is a lack of consistency. Things look "better" for a bit and then drop back into the abyss. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her truck needed servicing. I understand that those types of things are not predictable. Of course I would be understanding of this, but each month comes with some sort of issue. It's hard to consider this a "one off" when it happens more frequently than not. I expressed my frustration and she said she's apologized in the past. I told her that this is causing me anxiety each month. Getting my dog groomed, when her schedule is already booked, should not be this stressful. Her reply: "It is unfortunate that you feel that way. The only anxiety I had today was that I could get my truck repaired in time to not let my people down, and that it wasn't a giant bill. It is my hope that you feel better." It was clear from her response that she has no empathy for others, despite being someone who's used her own mental health issues as an excuse for her past transgressions. "The only anxiety that I had today..." part basically makes it seem like she's diminishing my feelings about being dismissed nearly on a MONTHLY BASIS. So apparently, it's only about herself. By her saying "it is unfortunate that you feel that way," it was clear that this is over and that this is completely irreparable. She takes zero ownership and had no insight into the fact that it's not just about today -- everything is additive and I have not seen things go smoothly for a long time. Apologies can only go so far. She also told me: "I agree that it would be nice if things always ran smoothly all the time, but sometimes we just have to roll with it." There's been a lot of back and forth for many years, a lot of schedule changes, a lot of Molly getting dropped from the schedule, lack of communication, etc. I had been loyal through all of it. I've BEEN rolling with it. Yes, of course it would be nice of your clients to be flexible from time to time... but it shouldn't be all the time. The tone of that also feels like she's asking ME to shoulder HER burden. Unfortunately, it is just time to part ways. They seem to charge a missed appointment fee if cancelling less than 48 hours in advance, and whole amount for no call, no show. Apparently, respect or this policy isn't a two way street. If you notice from other reviews, she's lost several loyal clients due to rudeness and lack of reliability. One of the other reviews says that they cancelled him 30 minutes prior to the appointment, using COVID as an excuse - and one of the groomers gave him a snarky reply: "I'm sorry this how you are reacting due to being rescheduled during a National crisis." It's these types of unwarranted, inappropriate, snarky remarks that I've gotten so used to from some of their people. This is clearly the norm of how they speak to people, which it shouldn't be. Perhaps she should spend more time on her business and less on her chickens.
