After living in California for many years and having to travel to Mexico several times I've gotten to known Mexican cuisine and this place doesn't compare, though there are good Mexican restaurants in the Orlando area and perhaps the area I live in, this restaurant isn't one of them. Though guacamole was delicious it was a false pretense to the rest of the food which I found over priced and tasteless, bland city, my taste buds definitely were not dancing until I pour on some hot sauce, my food tasted like it was cooked in old reuse oil, the corner was very noisy due to heavy traffic and the service was just as bad as the food, I felt like we weren't welcomed here and felt like we we were more of and inconvenience to the waitress and the busboys so don't waste your time sitting outside or waste your money on bad tasteless Mexican food and service read more

I really want to leave a 4.5 stars. Maybe Yelp will have that feature one day (fingers crossed). We come here often enough that we're on first name basis and "how are the kids" with one of the servers. (We love Isabelle!) The cheese dip appetizer is a must. 9 out of 10 times it's perfect. Once it's come out watery but we had been here enough to know that that was not the norm. Margaritas are good, especially for the happy hour prices. We are die-hard fajita people and are never disappointed here. It's nice to be able to sit outside (even in Florida's version on winter) since they have heaters outside and have even moved them closer to the tables being used without having to be asked. The people who work here really do seem to care about the comfort of their guests. It's not going to have the glitz and glam as some other locations however it's a comfortable local spot. The service can run slow (never an issue with Isabelle by the way) so if you're in a hurry, I recommend leaving your table and standing at the front desk for your check. It's always a much faster way to get your check, pay, and go. However, you can also sit back, relax, and enjoy your Margarita while you wait. Have a second one for me! read more

The sangria margarita was very strong. It was a frozen margarita with sangria mixed in. I don't like frozen Margarita's but this wasn't too bad. The Guac was very good. I had the Rib eye with shrimp. The rib eye was not as thick as I expected it to be. It was very thin. Still tasty though. The shrimp were VERY good. It came with veggie's. The wife had carne asada she said it was good also. It must have been she didn't share it with me. Overall a good place for Mexican food. We will come back. read more

Went here because my husband wanted to try their micheladas on our last day of vacation. We got seated right away but it took 20 mins for someone to come ask us for our drink order. We ended up just ordering a michelada, cucumber margarita, a guacamole dip and a chorizo queso dip. Let me start by saying the michelada was okay for an Americanized Mexican food place. The margarita was good until I ate one of the "cucumber cubes" in my margarita and turned out to be a zucchini... yup cubed zucchini in my cucumber margarita. Guacamole was old and the chorizo queso was greasy they didn't even bother to drain the grease from the chorizo before mixing it into the queso dip. Our server didn't bother to come check on us for another 25 mins and all he did was ask if we were ready for the check. Finally got the check still waited 15 min for him to come back to get the card... nope just ended up leaving cash because who knows when he was planing on returning to our table. read more

Disappointed to say the least, as a first impression I'm treated to the management chatting it up in the main entrance. After we figure out that were eating at the restaurant we get gestured to sit wherever we pleased which we promptly sat down. The table was nice clean and the chips that the busser brought were tasty. When our server Juan showed up he promptly took our drink order and told us to take our time with the menu. We order our main dishes and I had the mole enchiladas which were tasty,my girlfriend did not have the same experience. As a server/bartender of 10+ years I work every day and the small windows of time I get I want to enjoy it. I uderstand if to can hold things in your memory that's great, BUT sadly our server did not write down what my gf wanted and it came out wrong. Mistakes happen sure,but when you go to fix it and it comes out again wrong and you STILL haven not written a single solitary word that she is saying that she wants on a custom meal,why have it at all if it's just going to come out the way you originally put it in the computer system? Not once did the manager come to see if the correction that was made was satisfactory. After sitting an additional 10 minutes wondering to pay we asked Juan for the manager, who was the same lounged relaxed dude that was sitting up front chatting with some kitchen staff. The chat that my girlfriend had with Mr ponytail was nothing that I would even imagine telling a customer,"well I can give you 15%," for what? Gross ass refried beans that look like someone spit in them? All watery in the middle? Don't get something with the refried beans and don't get Juan, If you do tell him to write his orders down, elementary school stuff here folks. One star only because the white queso. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever! The owner/manager is amazing! Great customer service. If you sit at the bar and he's there he will go out of his way to habe a conversation with you and take care of you. I always order the Skirt Steak dinner. It is my absolute favorite. Get it with corn tortillas! Delicious! This time around I decided to have a cheat day and order a tres leches cake for dessert. Pretty good, but I could've done without the chocolate sauce drizzled over it. Wasn't a fan of that mixture. I'll just get it without it next time, now that I know it comes with it. Greeted by a gentleman as we arrived who seemed to be tending bar, waiting tables and keeping others on task. Drinks were well made and strong. Chips are crisp and fresh with flavorful salsa. Our entrees were Pork Carnitas and Enchiladas Verde - they were both nice sized portions... Plenty of moist flavorful pork. The chicken in the enchiladas as a little on the dry side. Honestly the food was not that bad. It was good but not fabulous. The price could have been better for mediocre food. The service was great however we had a party of 5 who ordered 3 jalapeño margaritas. We drink them regularly. It's not our first spicy margarita as we drink them when we go out. These were ok, I love jalapeños in my margarita. These were not the best but 2 of the 3 of us drank them the 3rd couldn't tolerate it. I rate the drink a 4 out of 10. My friend drank a sip or 2 out of the glass but decided she couldn't do it. Asked for a refund or another drink. We were denied by the manager. Now mind you we spent over $250 in food and drinks and the only complaint was the margarita. Bad business to me. We were also charged gratuities of 18% for a group of 5 people which was not noted on the menu. All is good because as someone who worked in the food service industry, I understand the process and normally tip 20-25%. At the end of the day as we are tourist and they don't care if we come back.. we won't.. ever. When we arrived (me, with my husband and a friend) for dinner, the hostess had her back to us, and when another employee motioned that customers were waiting to be seated, she shook her head and looked like she was busy doing some math at the counter instead (she had a calculator). So, a guy (not in uniform -- in fact, he just looked like another customer) in shorts and a somewhat dingy t-shirt said someone would be with us. A minute later, a really friendly gal sat us. The place is lit way too bright for my tastes. I felt like I was sitting in a diner. Regardless, our server was friendly and attentive, but that menu...well, it looks much better than it is. All of our meals were average. I tried the veggie quesadillas, and I don't think there's ever been a time in my life that I've had such oily/greasy spinach. We all thought that was weird. The food overall was just "meh". There's nothing special about this place. I came here for lunch last Friday. I ordered a strawberry agua fresca drink listed at 32ozs and received a standard 16 oz glass with no explanation as to the discrepancy. I ordered the bean and cheese dip , guacamole and chicken flauta appetizer. They didn't come with chips, I was supposed to eat the chips already at the table with the salsa with it. The cheese had a "skin" over top as though it had been sitting out. The guacamole was OK and then I noticed flies buzzing around here and there. Let me backup and say they took 3 chicken flautas, cut them in half and spread them out on a HUGE platter with shredded lettuce underneath. I was a little flummoxed with the size of the plate seeing as each dip was served in 4 ounce ramekins. Anyway, I'm sitting and eating, the place is very warm, there are flies all over and I'm a little annoyed but still hungry. The flautas were so plain and the chicken mushy and the flies started buzzing around even more. The last straw was when I picked up a flauta with my fork and a fly came out from under it. I got up from the table, took my plate to the bar, dropped it down and said " this is disgusting, there are flies everywhere" and stormed off. Apparently when I left, they explained to my family (who was still seated) that a window was broken and in the process of being fixed, so the flies were getting in. Went back on Thursday night and had a great experience thanks to the management team. We had a waiter who was still a little green at waiting tables but still had a good time. She tried the taco plate and they were scrumptious. The shredded chicken was tender and juicy. The presentation of the food was beautiful with the rice shaped and a delicious avocado tomato salad. I got the chicken fajitas and they were the best fajitas that I've had since moving from Texas 4 years ago. They tasted great, with all the normal setups but the homemade tortillas were amazing. We had the opportunity to try the chili con queso and it was the best we've ever had. The gooey cheese and spicy heat was overwhelming great. My only complaint is I can't get enough of their sweet tea. Each time I am there I drink 5-6 glasses, maybe next time I'll ask for a pitcher of tea. I have eaten here twice so far. The first time was shortly after this location first opened. The first time I ate here I had carne Asada with rice and beans. The steak was amazing. It was cooked perfectly and it was seasoned perfect as well. The most recent time I ate here (tonight) I ordered the chimichanga with rice and beans. The chimichanga was amazing.
