Went to Tacos Don Andres for lunch this week at a recommendation of a coworker. Glad we listened to him. The place is not in the Celebration Town Center but closer to the school. I didn't even realize this was there. It was a great spot, quick service and the place was actually welcoming. The food itself was good. My steak was soft but average flavor. We honestly struggled for a while to find Mexican food in the Orlando area that we truly loved (which felt tragic because it's one of our favorite cuisines), and this place completely filled that gap. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a relaxed, neighborhood feel that keeps us coming back. It's casual in the best way -- somewhere you can pop into on a random weeknight but still feel excited about every time. If you're ordering, the burrito Mexicano is a must. It's hearty, flavorful, and always hits. The elote off the cob is another standout and easily one of our favorite sides anywhere. I usually pair it with a Pepsi Zero, but if you're in the mood for something fun, the mango margarita is a great choice too. I came for taco Tuesday as it's an insane deal: $6 for 2 tacos, $8 for 3 tacos and $2 for rice and beans. The rice and beans are out of this world so I was excited about them, to find out they changed them up to something more red looking. It was still good but not like it was. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing. I don't know if they make the chips there if they don't I couldn't tell. The salsa is definitely made there and they had multiple types of salsa all of which exceeded my expectation. The ambience feels like you're in a café somewhere in Europe. We are so excited to have a good Mexican restaurant in beautiful Island Village! They've been open for a week so we decided to go ahead and give it a try. The restaurant is beautiful. The decor is simple but classy. The bar is in the center of the restaurant as a focal point. As we sat our table we were watching the bartenders and it seemed as though they were a little lost with what they were doing, but let's assume they were still training. The food was absolutely delicious! My husband got a burrito and he was pleasantly surprised how much he enjoyed the rice they had in it. I had the enchiladas mole and have to say it's probably some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. It came with rice and black beans. My husband had the house Margarita and said it was good and paired well with his burrito though it wasn't served in a Margarita glass which is unusual for a Mexican restaurant. Our waiter was very nice, though he never came back after our food was brought to the table to see if we needed anything. We had a great experience and definitely recommend giving it a try. Good food. Music was so loud it made the dinner almost a bad experience . Asked them to turn it down a bit to no avail.

I'm going to give this review and come back after second visit. First service was not great. Waited outside at table for 10 min before anyone greeted us. Our server was either overwhelmed or just not great but he checked up on us and several tables that all asked for things and completely forgot all of the items several times. Food was good so there is a plus. Ambiance is nice so another plus. Major negative on a Friday night they ran out of salsa and we had almost finished our meal before we got another small thing of salsa. Final note. I am NOT a fan of the tip system on their handhelds 18,22,24% no 20. Tips are already out of control if this isn't fixed the next I go then I will be giving 18 or 0 Again place is new and we will see if they improve. I'll be back soon to check. read more

I really wanted to give it a 2 but the restaurant is still fairly new. We've been twice and I think the 2nd experience was worse than the first. First experience: we sat outside. We were greeted and sat immediately and got menus. Server never came to grab or drink or food order. We had to flag someone down. Had the esquites which were delicious and the quesibirria which was great as well. Unfortunately, the server forgot to give us silverware so we then had to glad Someone down aswell. 2nd visit: sat at the bar, bartender was not friendly AT ALL. Did not check on us once - very odd experience. I ordered the queso fundido and I was highly disappointed. Queso fundido is not what this place has. Cheese was melted and then layered with green sauce on top. Tortillas were fried with cheese in them already. Please change this and make it like a real authentic queso fundido. We went there last Saturday April 5 for a late lunch I feel bad because I didn't get the way his name, but he gave us excellent service There was five in our party a couple from the UK, my husband and mother-in-law Everything we had was fabulous They have a jalapeño margarita, which is delicious And no, it's not that spicy, but super delicious We had to guacamoles really fresh and awesome. My husband had the chorizo tacos. The mother-in-law had a chimichanga. My friend from the UK had tacos. I forget what the husband had but she had fish tacos. And never mind the food they decor of this place is five stars all the way At the moment it is the chic is most elegant restaurant in all of CELEBRATION Because not for nothing, I'd love CELEBRATION but all the restaurants downtown could use a good refurbishing I won't mention any new restaurants names but I'll just tell you pick one You owe it to yourself to go to this place. So I thought maybe it was a one off, my girlfriend and I went back the next week and right after dinner my stomach started killing me and my food just tasted off. I have been wanting to visit the recently opened Tacos Don Andres in my town of Celebration. I have been in the restaurant and hotel industry on Disney property for 35 years so always looking to try new restaurants. I visited tonight with a friend and was very impressed with the ambiance,,,vibe of the restaurant its very nice although the chairs are a bit uncomfortable. The shrimp ceviche was awesome as well as their fajitas and cocktails. Was a great ambiance with good vibe, flavors and presentation and service....until at the end we asked for our check. Our server brought not a paper check but a billing machines and the first thing I saw as it was placed in front of me was the tip options ,,,which was automatically indicating a 20% tip. It had the total at the bottom of the screen...no breakdown of what was ordered was visible just how much tip to leave as the waiter stood behind me. I want to see a breakdown to see what I am paying for and I do not like being suggested to by the waiter how much to leave him. That greatly diminished the experience to the point that I do not plan to return or suggest the restaurant in my business. Very tacky way to finish the experience to your customers. read more

Tried it for the first time. Nice looking place. Prices seemed OK at $16 for tacos. Tacos pretty good. $7 beer in bottles and wine was OK. Ordered the queso dip for an App @ 10. Don't bother. It was some weird white cheese melted in a microwave and had hard skim on top. No way that was fresh. It had to be sitting out for a while. Warm, not hot, no flavor. If you were blindfolded, you wouldn't be able to even tell what it was. Chips were good, not overly salted. Had the crispy shrimp tacos. OK, but the shrimp was overly coated, really deep fried, dark and too large for the taco. Had to disect the taco, cut up all the shrimp in half just to be able to pic the taco up. ehhh. not good. More of a mess than a enjoyment. We'll wait a few months to return and see if it gets better. For three of us, the bill was $117. That's high for 3 tacos and three drinks. BTW, machine at checkout at the table automatically adds 25% tip so click other and enter in YOUR tip amount. read more
