Never again. Ordered take out tonight hoping to find a new favorite Mexican place but that's a negative. When we arrived one of the servers had to make the host behind the counter put his phone down and pay attn, but she eventually took our order while he continued messing around in his phone. I ordered, paid and left while the food was being prepared. When I returned my food was just sitting on the counter. When I got home I discovered that they forgot the tortillas for my fajitas and my wife couldn't even finish her food. Not good at all. The margaritas are watered down, the food is bland and the servers are more interested in hanging out & talking than taking care of their guests. The soda was flat & not good at all, but the server argued with me saying that she drinks coke so she knows there's nothing wrong with it. Only to go back & see that the syrup was empty. The cheese sauce is watered down, meat is bland just like everything else. Definitely won't be coming back here! To start, the bathroom was filthy. For being so empty in the place, there could've been some cleaning done. The drinks were weak. We had to order a shot of tequila to put in the margaritas to make them better. Food was just ok, but it was out quicker than our shot. Staff stood around chatting and eating by the hostess stand. My family and I absolutely enjoy coming here again and again.. Probably a total of 8 times in 9 months. The food is fantastic. I either get the chimichanga or enchiladas. My husband has tried almost everything. Even my kids enjoy their cheese quesadillas. Service has always been fantastic and the manager has come to the table to make sure that everything is great (it always is!) Unremarkable, bland, blah Mexican. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was good. Went here on a Friday night. Service was friendly, but slow and a little neglectful. I suspected we were going to be disappointed with the food when we got the chips and salsa -- tiny dish of salsa (which didn't get refilled after we asked) and chips that were not fresh and crisp. Our entrees were all disappointing. The tortillas on the enchiladas were mushy and lacking flavor. Fish tacos consisted of fried fish nuggets on a tortilla that fell apart -- no salsa, no slaw, no pico, nothing but fish. It may be this restaurant is aiming for an inoffensive, Americanized version of Mexican, and if that's what they're after, they are close to hitting that mark. However, if you're looking for bold flavor or anything authentic, avoid this one. read more

Will never go back. Alcoholic drinks were soo weak, I have had stronger virgin lemonades. Our server was very polite, however, she seemed very slow to get us things, despite the fact that the restaurant was empty. The food was very Blah. In town for vacation. Outside seating and music was a plus. However, a minus is that parking sucks. It's a good walk with kids from where we had to park off the round about. Kids friendly = fair; bar was first thing you see when you walk in. Outside seating was more kid friendly. Service was good, walked right to the bar and ordered take out. Order was quickly done. Chicken Orlando was seasoned great; the Taco's, Taco, Tacos were small but good. The kids meal came with two sides each; rice/beans or fries- but no drink. The kids meal were big enough for two kids under 7 years old to split. Now we have enough leftovers from their meal for tomorrow. With all the great 4 and 5 star ratings we expected the same experience. It didn't happen. My wife and daughter in-law are Hispanic and we're from San Diego, so we know good Mexican food and we make it at home. Service was good, when we could get it. Our server checked with us as soon as we got seated but it's our first time there and we needed time to look at the menu and pick drinks. She went away so we could decide, but once we quickly did, she was too busy watching TV over the bar to check back. We had to wave down another server. We ordered the 'top shelve' jumbo margaritas. Supposed to be fresh squeezed lime. They weren't, but just sweet and sour ( we know, our son and daughter in law used to own a Mexican restaurant and bar in Hollywood). We picked Don Julio tequila and you would think after a jumbo margarita you feel a little buzz. Nothing. We ordered guacamole and wow was it boring. No flavor, not even salt. We doctored it ourselves with limes from our margaritas and table salt and some salsa on the table. We ordered enchiladas; green and mole. The green was decent but pretty spicy, the mole was good but not enough sauce. Both enchiladas were on the dry side because they had way too much dry chicken and almost no cheese. The beans were really good. The rice was dry. We ordered flan at the end, and while it took so long to come out we almost left, it was pretty good. In the end we decided -this isn't CA and maybe it's as good as it gets in FL. Maybe you'll have a better experience. read more

I absolutely love Mexican food and I was excited to have one near my home but sadly I was disappointed. The rice and refried beans had a weird taste to them. I ordered the tacos, easy enough but still disappointed. The meat was alright but the lettuce looked sad like it had been chopped several days ago and were on their last life, the limes as well, so dried had to use several slices to even have a little taste. We have been here for a 1/2 hour and only had a coke. Only way I got that was to ask someone. We sat here forever and no one approach our table for drink orders or anything else. Workers are walking g around as if they have nothing to do but yet no one notices the empty glasses around us. I think if we were drinking alcohol we may get service. Terrible. read more

Got the Pollo Tequila -- by far one of the best dishes I've had at a Mexican restaurant ever. The sauce is amazing! My husband's entree was just okay, but I would come back again and again for what I ordered. Also had a strawberry margarita that was super cheap and very good. We entered fine then they gave us a booth and water started dripping from the air conditioners above.we waited for 30min so they could take our order.then they finally move us from the wet table caused by the air conditioned. There are a few staple things I look for when going out to eat, and this place had all of it. The staff was friendly and fast, the manager also came by to check on us, who was also friendly and professional. The food was awesome. I had the chimichanga, while my husband had some form of fajita platter. The portions were ridiculous for the price, my plate was approximately 4 times the size of my face. The chimichanga was delicious. The cheese sauce drizzled overtop was creamy and flavorful, as was the marinated, shredded chicken. All of the raw veggies on the plate were fresh, the guacamole wasn't the best I've ever had but it was better than mediocre. The sour cream was perfectly fluffy and fresh too. The amount of meat in the fajita platter was exceptional. The tortillas that came with said platter, were impressive, mainly because there was a grill char to them, which didn't take away from the softness of them. The ambiance was nice, not too playful but not too uptight. Everything was clean, spotless. One thing I really liked was that even though we had tea and fountain drinks we got our drinks in actual glass. That was a bit of class I wasn't expecting and I really enjoyed that (plastic is porous and that just freaks me out a little bit). The chips and salsa at the table were alright. If you aren't into salsa that I imagine is made with a ninja blender you may not like that, however the chips were very big, fresh, and warm. This is the second time I've been to Sr Tequilas, my first visit was around the time they opened a year ago. As far as I can tell it's a consistent place. That's what mattered to me the most. It was exactly as wonderful a year ago as it was today. It throws me for a curve ball when I don't see people in there, it was DEAD when we arrived and was the same when we left. Give this place a couple months before trying it out. If they're still opened, then they've got their problems worked out. Food wasn't bad, service staff doesn't know the menu at all. Portions are good for the price, but the menu isn't balanced between lunch and dinner (ie certain food types instead of portions are offered for lunch and refused at dinner). Service was good - we're the only ones there, but if you don't change cook, you will close the place down.
