0 stars. I called because my cat was up on their srp tower for 12 hours, clearly he was stuck. I called to see if they could remove him before anything tragic happens. The lady informed me he has to be stuck for 48 hours before they can come help. She encouraged me to put food down at the bottom of the pole to entice him to come down. I'm not too sure how or what happened but he ended up off the pole and unfortunately deceased. I called the lady to have my ticket cancelled and to see if the "48 hour policy" could be changed. I got a "management will look into it". That's unacceptable, I now get to explain death to my three year old. I requested a call back from management and the lady said "a request for what, what do they need to call back about?!" I'm pissed and heartbroken. This could have been prevented. The employees are heartless! UPDATE: no one from management has reached out to me. I called and they offered a $35 credit to my account. Not good enough for me, my cat is more than a $35 credit. I would like someone from corporate to reach out or I'll be happy to take things further as far as legal actions. 48 hours for a cat to be stuck is absurd! Their website is horrible! Apparently, when you move & transfer your service, even if you were signed up for "SurePay" (auto debiting your payments), they don't auto debit your last bill at your old address & they don't tell you they don't when you call them to arrange the transfer. Then, when you realize you have to manually pay & go to the website, it says you owe $0. I had to call SRP. They said I had a balance, but I had to manually enter it?! Also, I thought i had to sign up for "Surepay" again because it didn't show that I was signed up on my transferred acct. No, she said I was, there was just no indication & I just had to manually pay & manually enter the one amount... uhh, ok. That makes so much sense. Good job making it easy, SRP. Pffftt... read more

Typical power company. SRP issues a power savings event until 6pm when it 106 degrees so they can save money. If you don't participate in their game they charge you triple the rate. They have all these corporations that have come to San Tan Valley and queen creek only to raise the residents rates. Mpower plan sucks. I live in an apartment and I'm paying close to 300 a month. I know people in four bedroom houses that are paying half that price but then again they have the basic SRP plan which works with more payment options and programs. Mpower it's not cheaper like they say it is. Every day I'm paying a different price even though nothing in my household changes with electricity. I don't move my AC up and down. It stays the same all summer. I don't have everything plugged in either when we are not home. read more

They left my house with most power for half of it and said it was a me issue when it really wan an issue with the 6" of wire that came from the ground and in between the meter...that's when they said it was a me issue and shut off power completely to half my house...I'm sorry what...you are responsible for all the wires coming out of the ground going to the meter.....do fucking better assholes....if I could give less a 1 star I totally would read more

Very upset SRP customers here in Mesa. Had a short power outage on Saturday and a worker came out and had to be let into our backyard. He said that the unit was low on mineral oil (and appeared to have a leak of some sort) and needed to be serviced the first part of this week, but said that SRP would contact us to arrange a time and would not just show up and enter our yard - since we have a pit bull with full access. We have lived in our house since 1999 and never had any trouble with SRP accessing our yard before today. We have always had our own lock on our gate and a dog or dogs in our yard. They would contact us (by phone or email) or simply come to our door. If we were not reachable they would leave a hang tag on our door and we would call them and arrange a time. None of that happened today. They showed up unannounced, rang our bell, and then just hopped our fence (without permission) to enter our yard. My wife was home but works from home so she was delayed in getting to the door as she was on a work call. She actually had to drop the call to go corral our dog after she rightfully charged out into the backyard to go after the intruder(s). Wrote to SRP but who knows what will come of that. Thankful that no workers were hurt and our dog appears to be fine other than super stressed out. SRP needs to train their employees better or change their practices. This is not acceptable at all. read more

My dad worked for SRP for over 30 years and never would I ever thought I would be giving them a zero star review my sister got an apartment needed some help she's never established SRP before so I called up there thinking you know I live out of state I can maybe set it up the money I found out that there was an amount that I was never aware of on the account also at home I never lived at so I have to do a fraud documentation and send it back so I decided not to follow through with setting up the account so my sister ended up starting an account of her own she just needed a small deposit happy for her then come to find out they put my $1,400 balance that I wasn't even aware of from a place I never lived at and placed it on her account giving her my balance all because I called to inquire I don't know who the hell SRP thinks they are why they think they're above the law but you cannot take ones supposed debt and place it on to somebody else's account under their name of a different social security number they said they did that because they assume I live there you assume I live out of state have been for years so luckily I recorded the phone conversation I did get with my lawyer my lawyer said there is nothing that states that I just delete that that is legal. So my lawsuits looking pretty good but I will say this to everyone please be careful because SRP is throwing fees to other people's accounts that they are not aware of without even telling that person it's sad it's selfish and honestly it's quite disgusting to ruin somebody else's good name because of an inquiry disgusting read more

We had a power outage. It was silly. Not weather related, someone was joy riding and knock out our power pole and down went 4 transformers and here we were - summer temps caused our home to go up to 80 degrees. Within minutes of me calling - literally like 20 minutes later, an SRP rep was on my doorstep to talk to me. The phone rang with regular updates on their progress and the trucks and attention we received - mind you only 20 houses were affected - well it was amazing. We have SRP for water as well - we irrigate with them. They are so attentive and supportive there, and we love the app for notifications and updates. I wish other providers were so honest and kind. It's one thing to deal with a monopoly, it's another to get Dennys level service from that same company I'm forced to deal with. WE have a very serious situation that may need legal assistance if SRP does not offer reasonable option or access. SRP is charging 240.00 per year (20.00 per month) in order to read a non-emitting Meter that is only read 6 times per year or every other month. Our other dwelling has APS with a non-emitting Meter and we pay 5.00 per month or 60.00 per year. We are asking that this crookery is remedied. That is an outrageous price to charge. This needs to change immediately! Give customers options such as reading it every 4 months and desist in excessive over charging. In this SRP truly shows the twisted evil hand of corporations and of course price gouging. read more

SRP sucks. They don't trim the trees around their equipment as required by law so they get needless outages when storms hit. In the Arizona summers this costs customers hotel bills, calling off work and other needless expenses that SRP skates away without paying. Had a power outage. We are in a house where the lines are in the backyards. Well, a neighbor had a pole snap! Unsure how. Power was out from 7pm to 5am the next day. They kept me updated with how long they estimated it would take. I can't be mad if the estimates kept getting pushed farther out - they were putting up a new pole in the dead of night! I think their response was amazing. And I appreciate the hard work of those who came out to work on getting our power back. read more

what a garbage company! I sold my house and closed my account that was open for ten years with no missed payments and somehow they messed up my forwarding address for my final bill. I watch my credit score and saw a negative hit I looked into it and it was SRP. I called the very next day and we went over everything and they refused to remove the ding from my credit saying they did their due diligence by sending me three notices to a bad address so I was SOL. Well SRP had you done your due diligence you would have not messed up my forwarding address and I would have paid you on time. I wish I could sue this garbage company! read more

I have been an SRP residential customer for the last 4+ years and absolutely love them!!! Their customer service representatives over the phone provide the best service I've ever encountered. You can tell that SRP puts a lot of time into selecting candidates they employee because every agent I've dealt with is knowledgeable, professional, kind, and always so helpful. I've had horrible experiences with other electricity companies in the valley so SRP is a breath of fresh air. So... long story short , I had SRP come out on a Monday for a very simple upgrade ..just needed to upgrade my M-Power box to the latest model ( mine was still the original ) SRP sends out a level 1 technician and the worker makes a huge mistake and ends up frying my breaker box to my meter. The technician realizes he made a mistake and all he told me was I'm sorry and that I am RESPONSIBLE to get this fixed because I am the owners of the panel/house. Could go on and on but like I said I'm making a long story here short as possible. And remind you this happens Monday afternoon , I just now being Sunday afternoon got power back in my house. the technician said I had to get a "permit" from the city of Mesa and that I also needed to get a whole new panel ( tots cost $1,104.76) - I also had to place my kid , wife and I in a hotel room this entire week that added up to $327.39...All the food in my fridge had to throw it all away. Nearly $300 in groceries just down the drain, just like that. SRP then sends out a level 5 technician this morning to fix the problem , I ended up going to ACE hardware for some new bolts and washers .. it cost me $1.08 to replace attach the braket that the original tech fried and made it loose during the process. SRP has not returned any of my calls to get back in touch with me to refund my money or permit. I am very very displeased with how srp handled this entire situation. And if they do not return my calls or money I will have to move forward and proceed with a claim/lawyer. Totally disappointed and dissatisfied that SRP would do that to me and leave my family (4 year old daughter , wife , dogs and myself) with out any power to my house for 6 days almost a full week during the hottest time of the year in Arizona. My daughter has asma and has a hard time breathing as is and when she gets hot It becomes a little hard for her. SRP not once the entire week offered to help me out in any way. when the technician I believe his name was Sergio(level 5 tech) came out he told me what to do and I did It , he then did his part and helped me to complete the job . He noticed I did not have any experience with running power and wires. So he stayed to help me instead of leaving to his next job and keep in mind Sergio has already been working for several hours in the heat before coming to help me. Sergio did a fantastic job and if I were SRP i would give him a raise because this technician deserves it. He is the main reason why I am still deciding if I need to sue SRP or not. He went out of his way today to assure I had power in my house before leaving. SRP needs more technicians like Sergio. read more
