Today, I visited this salon for a full head of highlights with some lowlights. I explicitly stated that I still wanted my hair nearly all platinum. After the service was completed and my hair was washed, I immediately mentioned that the color was much darker than expected. I still paid and left because I wanted a second opinion before reacting. When I arrived home, I discovered that bleach had been left on the back of my neck and in my hair, which is unacceptable and concerning from a safety and professionalism standpoint. Upon further inspection, I also realized the final result was significantly darker than my hair was before and did not resemble the photos or description of what I requested. I had specifically asked for the front to remain fully blonde, which it no longer was. I returned to the salon and asked to speak with the owner. I was told she was not present. I explained the issues to another employee, showed the same reference photos again, and pointed out the bleach that had been left on me. I was told the salon does not offer refunds and that someone could redo my hair. I explained that I was not comfortable having the service redone, and I was told they would "wait to see" if the owner responded. While waiting, the employee returned visibly frustrated and stated she "didn't understand what I wanted," despite me calmly reiterating my concerns and showing the photos again. I again requested to speak with the owner directly and asked when she would be available. I was told no--not tomorrow, not later in the week, and not next week--and was informed the salon would be closed for Christmas. I was told I would not be able to speak to the owner at all and should speak to her instead, as she was "like a manager." During this interaction, she dismissed my concern about bleach being left on my skin by saying "that's something that happens." At this point, I felt increasingly uncomfortable due to her tone and behavior. My sister was quietly on the phone for support and did not speak; nevertheless, the employee accused me of involving her and asked me to step outside. I declined because I did not feel comfortable. I was then told I was being combative, which was untrue. Overwhelmed by the hostility and lack of professionalism, I became emotional and began crying. The employee responded by stating she was "done" with me and walked away, leaving me alone and visibly upset in the salon. I have never experienced such unprofessional, dismissive, and hostile behavior in a professional setting--especially one involving chemical services. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Board of Cosmetology and pursuing additional actions as appropriate.

For instance, despite previously paying $45 for a full set dip powder, I was charged the same amount for a fill-in just eight days later. Immediately, I asked Dawn why am I paying $45 for a fill in, when a brand new set was $45? She was puzzled. She started stuttering and said it's because my nails are short, which doesn't make any sense. When I requested to speak with a manager about this discrepancy, I was met with refusal and further unhelpful behavior. I strongly recommend choosing a salon that transparently lists their prices, as this is standard practice and ensures fair treatment for customers. Majority of the places around here list their prices, don't let anyone tell you it's normal not to.

My husband got a pedicure as well. As we were leaving he was looking for the older lady that had done his pedicure, in order to give her a tip. One of the other employees was gracious enough to get her. My husband hands her the money and says, "...Thank you, ma'am." She takes the money from him as if annoyed that she had to walk from the back to get her tip and turned around and walked immediately to the back once more. When we got home, I noticed that two of my nails were already peeling. The next day, I called this establishment and said that I was there the previous night and my gel was already peeling. I wanted to come back in to have it fixed. The girl who answered the phone was very polite and said I could come back and they'd fix it. When I get there a different lady starts on my nails (I assume she's the own/boss by the way she was talking to the other employees). I show her that now three of my nails have gel that is either peeling or lifting. Instead of removing the gel, she simply paints over it!!! While she does this "patch job" she's engaged in a somewhat feisty conversation with the older lady that snatched the tip money from my husband the previous night. A day later, my nails are peeling again. I spent almost $140 there; only for my husband to be treated rudely and for my nails to look like trash. I will not return.

She was able to squeeze me in after rearranging another appointment, which I appreciated, but I felt her overall demeanor was quite rude. I went on a first date and wanted to get my hair professionally blown out, So I walk in on time and She sits me down. After she's done washing my hair, we go back to her chair and she starts brushing my hair excessively. "Sorry I'm just rough handed!". Yeah ok, but then she goes on to start commenting on the state of my hair. I currently do all over bleach and tone but use olaplex shampoo every other week, so my hair feels processed, sure, but nonetheless still healthy. "You're hair is sooo damaged! Your hair is so problematic!" I explained that I'm a natural brunette but dye my hair blonde and she insisted that "my hair doesn't like bleach". She pointed out that my hair should not be coming out into the brush when she's brushing it, yet even before I started bleaching my hair would do the same AND she's pulling too darn hard! Oh, and then she tells me to buy every olaplex product on the line (bc apparently my hair will fall out if I don't) and then sleep with the shampoo in my hair overnight . But I'm a student and def cannot afford to buy every single product on the line, so that's a no for me dawg! After we were done, which took her over an hour to do something other stylists I've seen can do in half that time, deb charges me a whopping $60 for only a wash and blowout and then shouts at me as I'm leaving "make sure you tell your next stylist that you have problematic hair, because you do!!" Tbh I've never felt so intimidated by a stylist, especially since I always look forward to getting my hair done. I've been bleaching/highlighting my hair for almost ten years now, yet never once has any other stylist raised an eyebrow at the state of my hair, especially in this way. They even laughed when I would ask for something. Not only was that bad but they continued to try to do things I didn't want. I asked for acrylic nails with regular polish - they tried to do dip and gel after I stated what I wanted then seemed bothered when I reminded them I wanted regular polish. Shape -wrong, uneven , different shapes, and a big glob of acrylic left under my nails even after asking for it to be removed . I was very unhappy with my experience overall! I ended up paying more because the acrylic powder they used was the "pink" not the regular. Needless to say $50 wasted .
