Communication with SSR performance is terrible. My husband is a huge BMW fanatic and brought his car to add an exhaust and lower the car. He loved his car until the car started having a lot of problems. SSR will not take any responsibility for not communicating their wrongdoings. As consumers, we heavily rely on the knowledge of these "experienced" mechanics. We did not know their overly priced exhaust would cause our brand new car to drive lopsided and make rattling noises. I had a tire completely burst in the middle of the freeway with my children in the back seats because of the way they adjusted my car. Having enough of the problems, we decided to take off the exhaust and springs, SSR completely threw us off with a large payment due. Something that was never discussed until pick up. Completely unprofessional as a place like this would want their customer to be comfortable before even touching their car. Once they returned my car to stock, they completely FAILED to tell me that I would need to realign my car. 2 months after having my car back to stock, I'm needing to replace my tires. Thanks to 714 tire for explaining to me that SSR should've advised me before blowing out my perfectly fine tires. Save your time and stress and don't modify your car with SSR. Your dream will become your worst nightmare. read more

Rod at SSR was only mechanic in Orange county who was confident enough to fix my car without costing a fortune. I broke my spark plug while it was still threaded thinking I was being a good amateur mechanic so ended up calling the BMW dealership as well as a dozen or so of the most reputable shops in the county. After hearing from BMW the costs to repair could likely go over $10K, I went with Rod and now my car is back to normal for a tenth of that price. Highly recommended. read more

Just got done taking my Porsche Carrera 991.2 for custom headers and exhaust. I was interested in getting some information on what this entailed and also interested in possibly getting a tune for my car. Zayn walked me through everything there was to know about the process they take to make their custom hand built exhausts and Shah broke down exactly what the tune entails and how it will be beneficial paired with my new exhaust. I had the pleasure of working with Shah and Zayn, who worked tirelessly on my 2012 335is. I've been to many reputable shops in Southern California such as European Auto Source (EAS), Mod Auto/Mod Bargains, MRF Engineering etc. SSR Performance beats ALL of those shops by a HUGE margin, hands down. Shah and Zayn even showed up to my home to perform a misfire diagnostic, as well as to install new painted reflectors and didn't leave until almost 1am Saturday morning! Talk about dedication and customer service! Who else is willing to go the extra mile like that these days?? While the guys working at those other shops were at home, all cozy in their little beds on a Friday night, Shah and Zayn were up late and resolved my misfire issue, which McKenna BMW incorrectly diagnosed! The problem ended up being a $40 ignition coil whereas McKenna BMW wanted me to perform a $500 walnut blast to cure the misfire! Shah and Zayn are passionate, extremely capable, have great attention to detail and provide EXCELLENT customer service and follow-up.
