I do NOT recommend them. They have shady practices, especially if you're inexperienced or young-- and don't seem to know what they're doing. My college-aged son used them for a check engine light and smoke from his engine-- mind you it was not an old car, and had around 70K miles. They claimed to know what was wrong, and charged $633 to change a thermostat and a "housing unit" around the thermostat. Mind you, there was nothing wrong with the housing unit, but they convinced my inexperienced son to pay another couple of hundred more for that "just in case." Just two weeks later, the car had the EXACT SAME problem (check engine light and smoke). They came back and said oh, we know the issue now --it's the fan, and you'll need to pay another $500 for that. I let them know I have zero confidence in their expertise, that I don't find them to be trustworthy, said no thank you and got it done elsewhere for way less. Their price was considerably better than the dealer and once again the technicians were very experienced! After the job was completed we noticed one of the rotors had a small notch in the disc. We called and notified them. They did not hesitate to order two new rotors for our car and send the technician over within a couple of hours, no questions asked. I'm a YouTube mechanic I love working on my car but somethings I avoid and that's usually electrical wiring. I'm not usually the type to leave reviews, but after this service I just felt that I needed to. It was just that good. I requested a brake inspection to look over another shops 'work'. To give a little insight, I had taken my vehicle (2018 Honda Civic) to an Auto Shop in my area for a MPI to verify a dealership's findings. They told me there that I needed Rear Brake pads. Long Story short, they 'resurfaced' my rotors and replaced the pads. Brought it in many times and they basically ignored the issue. This other shop quoted me $1.3k for a 'needed' Caliper Replacement to resolve the issue. There I was with squeaking brakes, how embarrassing. That was until I came into contact with this Group, The AutoMedic. The two guys who helped me out were very open and communicative. They found that my rotors were not at all resurfaced by the previous shop. I honestly thought it was included to replace the rotors, didn't know anything about this 'resurfacing'. I knew that I would eventually have to change the rotors after researching resurfacing of rotors. Thankfully The AutoMedic had great pricing! Communication with their team was very helpful. They got me same day, they explained everything and helped resolve my issue. That's my headache gone from squeaky brakes for the last 6 months give or take. Did I mention how fast they got it done?
