Terrible customer service. Trying to get a quote from them is like pulling teeth. Tried to get a quote for a good 4 days. Texting doesn't work, calling they pick up and basically tell you theyll get on it. Nothing came until i kept bugging them. They gave me the wrong quote so i asked for another quote and yeah I never got that one. I want to share my experience with SSR Auto Body, which unfortunately was not a positive one. They had my car for two months. When it was returned to me, I noticed unexplained miles on the vehicle, and the trip miles had been reset to zero, which was concerning and never explained. When I asked if my car had been driven anywhere the quick response was no...also strange because I'm no dummy and know you should drive the vehicle for testing, especially with all the new "safety parts installed". It was also clear my car did not go through a proper quality check. The two back seats were not locked into place, which is a significant safety issue and took me quite some time to fix myself. Additionally, the Apple CarPlay, backup camera, and radio were not working upon pickup (these were later fixed after I raised the issue). The car was returned to me extremely dirty--there were leaves in the backseat and thick dirt and leaves inside the glove compartment, as shown in the photos. I asked multiple times if they could install the new license plates as the old ones were smashed, they assured me this would be done...when I picked my car up they still had the old license plates on it. Communication throughout the process was very poor. I had to constantly follow up for updates, and information was rarely volunteered. The hatchback also no longer opens with the key, which was not an issue prior to the repair. The quality of the work was mediocre at best and could have been much better with more care and attention to detail. I truly wanted this to be a good experience, but it was not. The initial estimate was extremely high and nearly resulted in my car being totaled out. The messaging around this felt strange, almost as if that outcome was preferred. Maybe it was because I don't drive a high performance car but that's a bad business decision as I know plenty of people that do and would have referred them. Instead people are asking me where I went so they can avoid the hassle. For context, I drove my car for almost two months after being rear-ended, and it drove perfectly with no odd noises or issues. If you need your car back in a timely manner or expect thorough communication and quality control, this is not the body shop for you. Based on my experience and previous reviews, I am clearly not alone in feeling this way. read more

Bringing my car to SSR for repairs cost me more than $3,000...for a no fault accident. My car was run into while parked and the other party admitted fault. This should have cost me $0. However, SSR took 2 months for a repair they and insurance quoted 2 weeks for. Now I am having to either sue or pay out of pocket for rental expenses. The shop ghosted me when I asked for a written explanation of the delay to help my case---presumably because they do not want to be on the hook for the expenses caused by the delay. During the 2 months, the communication was spotty---on average, asking for a follow-up took one or two follow-ups and sometimes multiple calls. I was never provided with an update without asking. Even after 2 months, I waited a few hours at pick-up since they were still working on the car. When the car finally came out, the finishing was sub-par with polishing marks and residue still on the car. The stuff I had left in the trunk was a mess. No effort was put into presenting a nice final product. Even after asking for some of the glaring flaws to be polished out, the next day I could spot multiple flaws. After I got the car back, I noticed a damaged interior panel and asked for a replacement part. To be fair, they were quick to say they will replace the part, but shipping the part to me took three months. During this time, again, it was difficult to get any updates. A few months after the repairs and finally the car being back to somewhat original condition, I will say the paint quality seems to be adequate if you ignore the flaws in the finishing. I would never recommend SSR. It caused months of stress and time wasted as well as a financial hit for a 0% fault incident. If anyone would like photos or receipts to back up the above statements, I would be happy to provide so that you take your bodyshop work elsewhere. read more

Brought my '16 BMW M3 in for a full repaint on 9/25/2025. After 2+ months (and counting), the car is still not ready. Extremely limited / unhelpful progress updates; I have to reach out multiple times to get a call back / update. 12/6/2025 Update: Was promised the car would be ready for pick up at 1 pm. Glad I phoned in (multiple attempts) before making the trip, as the car still has "two more spots" that need to be polished. I would give SSR Autobody a negative 5-Star rating if I could. read more

Since my BMW was already going to be in such great hands dealing with the bumper it was time to inquire about having an aftermarket hood I've always wanted. I had the pleasure of working with Abe, Richard & Celine, all of which were amazing to work with. They kept me up to date with weekly and sometimes daily updates on the progress of my vehicle. Unfortunately, I had to bring my car back to SSR Autobody for another respray after the paint had been damaged in multiple areas by another shop. After I told Richard what happened, he told me to stop by so that he can assess the damage and made time for me immediately. I left my car with his team that same day, and it was repaired in a couple weeks. It would've been even quicker but they had to wait on a part that Toyota didn't have readily available. Unsurprisingly, the car was restored. If I was forced to work with any other shop during this incident, I probably would've been stressed out the entire time.
