I had a problem with my 2013 Audi s5 and decided to take it to SSR Performance. Shah (one of the owners) quickly accommodated me and set up a free diagnostic check to inspect what was wrong with my Audi. After finding the leak Rod (the service manager) quickly called me and discussed what may have caused the issue and how we can resolve it! This is by far my favorite shop to take my E92 M3. They really make you feel welcomed at the shop and offer unmatchable prices for similar services. I had my rod bearings replaced and it was done within the day! They also did a DCT flush (with a whole new DCT pan replacement) and my spark plugs. Most shops want you to drop your car off and leave or wait in their waiting area, however, SSR really makes their customers feel cared for. Also their waiting area is one of the better ones I've seen for shops in Orange County! All in all if you have a BMW or any other performance car I recommend going to SSR for any job or service you need to get done. I rely heavily on reviews to get an average idea of what i can expect when dealing with a place. I don't really trust short 1-2 sentence reviews because that usually means someone is just doing it because they got a FREE shirt or maybe a 5% discount if they left a YELP "review". So I am going to give you my honest top 5 reasons why you would want to stay away from SSR Performance. 1. You don't care about CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you prefer going somewhere and walking in and having the receptionist or cashier or customer service rep just sitting there on their phone, ignoring you - then SSR Performance is NOT the place for you. From the moment you call, walk-in and leave with your car, they are the most friendly shop I have been to. Big shout out to Paige for all her help, making me feel welcome and checking in every once in a while when i had to wait an hour for the car. Also shout out to Shah- holy crap! He is the first person i interacted with via text and i didn't know who he was at first, but knowing he is an owner and would reply to my many messages asking all sort of questions- that is truly unheard of. 2. You don't care about CLEANLINESS. If you prefer a shop that is messy inside and looks like someones closet, has 2002 Ford Expeditions, 1997 Toyota Corolla's and other cars sitting on the lot for several months because repairs are STILL not done, then SSR Performance is NOT for you. When you pull up to their lot, every time its like damn mini car show. Lambo's, McLaren's, M3's, M4's, M5's....oh my! Then you walk inside and it is CLEAN. It looks dope. The waiting room with the mini-fridge, XBOX and big screen TV is awesome. 3. You don't care about EXPERIENCE. If you prefer a shop that has a guy who "kinda" knows what to and won't really give you advice, then SSR Performance is NOT for you. These guys are talented. Mark is ridiculous. I had an issue that i described as a "Weird ass noise/squeaking" and he sat in the car with me, took a 5 min drive, heard it, instantly knew what to do and a few minutes later BOOM. My shit was fixed. Incredible. Plus they also know what is beneficial for your car and what might not be. 4. You don't care about building TRUST. If you prefer to have a place that will just do what-ever you tell them and they wont really explain to you why its a good idea or why it might be a bad idea, then SSR Performance is NOT for you. This also goes back to point #3- I first dealt with Rod, and he was the most helpful person. I told him what i wanted to do with the car and he explained to me how it would work and that what i was going to do would TOTALLY be worth it. I can honestly say, i LOVE this car more now. Then i came back and I spoke with Mark and starting throwing ideas at him, and one of them he even said - "look dude, for what you would spend doing ABC, you can do XYZ and it will be way more worth it in terms of power and performance." That right there, immediately told me i can trust these guys. They are not out to cash in on uninformed clients or to just do whatever the client asks without first making sure they understand the pro's and con's. 5. You don't care about building RELATIONSHIPS. If you like going places and sitting in a room with a bunch of people and you all ignore each other, then SSR Performance is NOT for you. Everyone, even the customers are super friendly. The dude with the Lambo will chat it up with you even if you just have a 2 Series BMW. Everyone wants to check out each others cars and it like a mini family, even though you might have just walked in for the first time. I have met a few people already and we swapped car info and stories and knowledge on how we did certain things. It is a great environment. So there you have it. If you were not smart enough to understand my review, then just go to Pep-Boys because that's where you belong. If you did understand my review and you realize the value, the expertise and how great this place is- then the next thing you should do is schedule your appointment. You will not be disappointed. I'm not one to write reviews usually, but this is something I think everyone should read. Shout out to SSR Performance for their exceptional work and professionalism during my visit last Friday. I brought in my 2010 335i initially for a walnut blast and a vehicle inspection to check all aftermarket parts and identify any potential problem with the car (car was running like crap when it was brought in and making some noises I was concerned about) I was greeted at the desk when I arrived and after our initial conversation was promised that everything would be taken care of and to relax in their waiting room (which was nice and pleasant) Once the car was prepped for the walnut blast, I was taken to the shop floor to look at the valves prior to the walnut blast and ask any questions I may have had. Again, everyone was nice and professional. Upon Inspection, I noticed some leaking oil/dried oil around my oil filter housing and it was recommended that I replace; I agreed and told them to proceed with the repair in addition to everything else they were already doing. Once the walnut blast was completed, I was taken back out to the shop floor to inspect and make sure everything looked good. It did and I should have taken photos of the sparkling valves after. I was told that it would be a little longer than originally quoted since I agreed to have the oil filter housing replaced, which was fine. Once everything was finished and the car was off the lift, it was brought around front and was ready to go. One of the technicians (I'm terrible with names) told me to get in and go for a test drive with him to ensure that everything was running smooth and that the "noise" I mentioned originally was no longer present. We took a 10 minute test drive, car ran perfectly and the noise was gone! 10/10 impressed. I was then told what all had been inspected and what all was fixed (loose charge pipe, readjusted FMIC, tightened loose hardware, inspected suspension, exhaust etc) and was told future recommended services. To be honest, since I've had my car for the last 4.5 years and being all across the US, this was the one shop who actually took the time to explain everything and wasn't in a rush to get rid of the customer. I felt welcomed the entire time and their entire staff was great. I highly recommend SSR Performance for your BMW needs, repairs, upgrades etc They went above and beyond in my eyes and I will definitely drive the 2 hours in the future to bring my car back to their shop! If I could give 0 stars I would but I can't. This place literally gave the worst service I could have received. First off, they replaced my battery about 8 months ago with a "new" battery and surprise my new battery died. Then I bring it back because my car starts dying in the middle of the road. They hold my car for over 4 weeks to "review" what was wrong with it for me to find out they haven't even touched my car. Their prices were outrageous to add it all up. I spent 4 weeks without my car to find out it they had no intention to fix the car. On top of all of this I tried asking for my car back weeks ago to get no reply. $200 to fix my rear view mirror when it's $20 to order the piece online and for some reason they put tape on my rear view mirror. Where do I start? I had work done by another shop that was half assed which ultimately ended up costing me an additional $700, but SSR diagnosed and fixed every issue I had on my 335is, problems I didn't even know existed. I had a full tranny overhaul, my water pump hoses were all replaced (the other shop didn't change the hoses during my water pump replacement service and the hoses were oil soaked and swollen ) but SSR took care of that issue and then some. I had my suspension all out of wack, they tightened everything up and replaced my front control arms, and did a full drive belt kit replacement. I've never had my car driving better than when I received it back from SSR and the guys there really helped make the experience enjoyable. If you care about your car and want the best hands working on it, SSR is the best place to take it. Hands down. I'm now representing their shop on my windshield because of how great their service is. As far as pricing goes, these guys are extremely fair. The other shop was overpriced and under delivered, I feel like SSR overdelivered and kept the price fair. Which is amazing. 5 stars. read more

Hey guys so i just recently went through the whole ordeal of the well known spun crank hub issue and would like to share my experience with SSR Performance in Orange County, CA. 3 weeks ago I had got the drivetrain malfunction while doing logs on a newly uploaded full E85 map.
