Rob & Linda Hart, who run the Inn & Coventry Gardens, are amazing! They were so sweet & welcoming & they made us feel right at home! The Old Town Mercantile that's inside the Inn offers a wide variety of neat gifts including some really cool vintage items. As gorgeous as the grounds are during the day you have to see them at night when their decorative lights are on. We stayed in The Blue Room & it was spacious & beautiful. Everything was clean & well stocked. With a view of the grounds & Coventry Gardens from several of the many windows & the large private bathroom with a tub & handheld shower, staying here was a real pleasure! But, the REAL treat was Linda's cooking! Oh my goodness! Her food was so amazing! We had dinner & breakfast there & both meals we beyond delicious! We will definitely be going back! A Stunning Gem in Red Bluff, CA…read more Hummingbird House is a beautifully renovated Victorian house just off Main Street. The house is gorgeously decorated, each space carefully designed to be a combination of luxury and function. I was so happy to find that the kitchenette is fully equipped with silverware, plates and cups. There is a Keurig-type coffee maker, microwave and small fridge with a functional freezer (too often the little refrigerators in hotels don't have a freezer). Best of all, I was happy to find an electric water kettle. I'm a tea drinker, and using the hot water from coffee makers gives the tea an annoying coffee taste. I'll be staying for several weeks, so the washer and dryer is a great convenience at no additional cost. The hosts are so welcoming and kind, without being intrusive. And they are always responsive to texts or emails. I have stayed in small inns and B&Bs all over the world, and I have never been in a nicer place! The pastries and cookies that are in the parlor are brought every day from the bakery on Main Street. Each one has been outstanding. The bakers are trained in French patisserie and the quality is amazing. This is just a reflection of the caliber of everything at Hummingbird House!
