My first visit here I saw Veronica. She was the absolute best! I hadn't gotten my nails done that…read morenicely in a long time. I went back today to do a fill- Veronica had off so a different lady did my nails. It took her over an hour just to remove my prior dip nails - she never asked if I wanted the tip removed but she went ahead and did that. After watching her file my nails for an hour with still no color on my nails (frustrated at this point), I finally said I had to get back to work. It wasn't until I complained again saying I needed to take a break for work that she actually started to rush . She cut my cuticles . My nails are not even/flat and bumpy . I would have much rather she did them good rather than have lumpy fingernails . I would have gone out to my car for 10 min to make a work call and come right back . I asked if she could do a lemon design, showed it to her and she said yes. When she was done with my nails, I was horrified. I expressed to her that they weren't good, but I'm upset with myself for not expressing it enough. She also did my pedicure, so I felt obligated to tip her because of the time and effort she put into it, but I'm very unhappy. Poor and sloppy work unfortunately.

Yesterday my mom, my uncle and I wanted to go do some self care since we just moved from Colorado to Florida 14 days ago. I called 6 nail salons and none could accommodate us at the same time, totally understand. I called joy nails and they were so kind right off the bat and got us in within 30 minutes. The salon itself was beautiful and the atmosphere was so positive. The lady next to us was a returning customer as well and the banter with David was just hilarious. We requested a pedi for my uncle (his first time and he seemed to enjoy it!) My mom and I got fresh sets. I requested a new gel x set which meant soaking off my old set, then starting a fresh one. Because I had indents in my nails due to the previous set I got in Colorado, he told me it wouldn't be safe to do gel x and acrylic would be better. He executed my French tip perfectly and his wife did my mom's flower cat eye better than anyone she's ever been to. David also made a very good point, I'm in Florida now so nails are better. However, it wasn't just that, spending money and an hour of your time somewhere can be really hard sometimes and they were great people to be around. I had a great experience, thank you so much!

I have been to this place 4 times to get a manicure with gel nail polish…read more Came to this place bc it was conveniently on my way. 1st time- nails were ok. Got a card that gives you $5 off on your 6th visit (5th or 6th visit.. don't have card in front of me) 2nd time - gentleman took his time to do my manicure. Did good cleaning of my cuticules, filing, etc. Showed him a pic of a french manicure with glitter... couldnt understand that I wanted the glitter to be the same color as the nail so I ended up with 2 diff colors. Nails looked ok, so It wasnt a big deal. Nails started chipping around cuticles at about 1.5 weeks, which is rare, as gel nails last a long time. Assumed chipping was due to something I had used - lotion or something. 3rd time - asked for the same gentleman as he did such a good job w my manicure. This time asked for mani/pedi. Gentleman did great job w my pedicure except that he painted my toe and didnt care to fix it. It was noticeable. I said to myself -"who cares, you can fix it when you get home!" Asked him for a v shaped french.. My "v's" vere very crocked... glitter was all over the place. Nails started chipping around cuticles again at week 1!! Definately vouldnt b something I was doing a 2nd time as I hadnt gotten anything new since I started coming here. Will not be asking for this gentleman again. 4th time... elder lady did my nails. She was very sweet, very nice. Couldnt understand a word of english. Used the back of a nail filer and her nails to do my manicure . My gel nails ripped and had to get it fixed right after I had left the salon. (I had already spent 2 hours there!) She filed my nails down too much, my thumb nail broke. She kept insisting my nails were 2 long and I needed to file them down. (Shouldnt that be my decision? What is it 2 her? I work in a hospital, trust me, my nails cant be too long!) End result: french looks clumpy and thick. Nails uneven. Verg upset at end result. Will not be comming back here regardless if the card said my next manicure would be free. Complaint several times but it didn't matter as the nail tech had no clue what I was saying. She was nice when I went back and she fixed my nail but over all, these have been the worst looking nails Ive ever paid for.
