I don't know how this hotel has gotten any good reviews. Not worth the price. Owner was very rude. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Circle Pines Bar Grill & Motel - Great pizza and cold beer! I took a picture of it but it was too late...all gone. Great place!!!

When the lady brought our pizza we questioned if it was the right one because it was not a large pizza it was only a 12 inch. She seemed mad about something and rudely said that it was our pizza and that they only had 12" pizzas tonight. Well no one mentioned that when we ordered so how did we know. We've been coming here for years and have never had a negative experience. This place has new owners now and unfortunately things have changed and not for the better I'm afraid. We've always ordered the wings in the past as they are very large and delicious. We noticed wings were on special tonight and prefer them. When they arrived they were not the usually large wings but they were small drummies and flats. We told our waiter afterwards that we were disappointed that they changed the wings from what we were used to. He then tells us they still have the large wings it was just that the wing special was the smaller wings. Information we could have used at the time we ordered. Very sorry to see the old owners gone. I guess we had a good run though. I guess we'll have to try chubby cheeks and see what that's like

"Hello, Heartwood? I would like to make reservations for your Mother's Day Brunch for 9:00 a.m."…read more "How many will be in your party?" "Just me. My husband passed away in January." We went on, the two of us, talking pleasantries a bit more, stranger to stranger. I promised I would be there at 9:00 and hung up. The next morning, I was there on time and was greeted by the young woman who recognized my name. "We talked last night. You are our guest today. No charge." Stephanie said. I was dumbfounded and realized that she saw within me something I didn't realize I had revealed--that I needed to be pampered, that I was vulnerable, that I was tired, that I was worried, that I hurt. I had never alluded to any of that over the phone, but she knew. The staff regularly checked on me, the owner especially making certain I was fine, and I was. The brunch was amazing, filled with luscious entrees, a far cry from the normal Northwoods pizza-hamburger venues. I was also able to enjoy watching the young parents with their children, lining up for their eggs and shrimp and everything delightful. I am home now and soon I will be watching a movie--probably a western--that my husband would have liked. I will remember him telling me all about the lives of the actors, how this movie compared to another, how the plots developed. I will remember my folks and wish they were again enjoying the rustic comforts of the cabin. I will remember my caring son and daughter who will call later to see what mischief I have been into. And I will remember the "strangers" who crossed my path today to help point me forward into a journey of hope.

This was for cottage 3. They are spread apart pretty good three and four as well as one and two kind of share a fire pit areas not really share but they're close together where you where you would hang out but otherwise they're nicely spaced. the row boats and the dock are right by cabin 1 which I would say is probably the best location of the four especially the nicest view then I think cabin 2 has the next best view.

I just can't believe I have never been here before when visiting Iron River. The setting and the view alone is worth a visit. Set on the edge of Deep Lake, get a window seat if you can to watch the sunset. It's not quite a supper club (which is okay!) but we still ordered Brandy Old-fashioned. Trust me- they make them well! I think we may have converted my cousin to making this her Wisconsin drink of choice based on no small part on this version. The menu is midwestern steak house with flair. I ordered one of the nightly specials- pecan encrusted walleye. It was so good. LIghtly breaded with hints of fennel- a combination I never would have thought of but it was so tasty. of course it was served with salad and a small loaf of bread- a great way to start a meal. THe dessert menu looked intriguing but we were stuffed- I took half my meal home and ate it for lunch the next day! Still tasty. I would add this to everyone's must stop list when in Northern Wisconsin

It's full of local color and delicious flavor. Nice selection on the menu--and quite interesting. I mean, the Blackened Ahi Tuna--each subsequent ingredient gets stranger: provolone cheese, spring greens, black bean pico de gallo, and wasabi mayo. Fairly friendly atmosphere. It's clear there are regulars here by the hugs being doled out by the servers. My steak, brussels sprouts with bacon, and baked potato were excellent. The steak was cooked just to my liking. I would stop here again.
