I felt so cared for at breakfast.

I wish I could give ten stars! This place was amazing! The calm and serenity was just what I needed after a long weekend of work travel. The food was incredible! I cannot wait to book again.

A wonderful two night visit. A spacious gardens and surrounding trees give a country feel although it is conveniently close to shopping, dining, and the interstate. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated (we had the Cardinal room). The dining/common room on the main floor is similarly comfortable with welcoming decor and even a fireplace. There are a plethora of amenities there, but we only partook in the breakfast. That meal was delicious and generous in portion. Our first morning we had their customized version of Eggs Benedict and I had the optional sauteed mushrooms, spinach added. It was cooked to perfection. On the side we sampled their offering of fresh mixed fruit and strawberry yogurt on top of granola. It was followed by a slice of pumpkin-flavored cake that was rich and moist and topped with a house sauce. The second morning was a germanic breakfast casserole topped with easy-over eggs (again, cooked perfectly). My wife is a coffee snob, and she found their special blend fantastic. Not a single dish disappointed and the establishment could probably succeed as just a restaurant. The host and hostess were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

St. Francis Cottage is the best B &B I have ever stayed at and I stayed at a lot of bed and breakfast places. It's very clean. Rooms are big and beds are very comfortable. They have extra blankets. Our room had a nice bath tub and a shower. It's very quiet. When you open a window all you can hear is crickets and rain. Breakfast is delicious. The owners are very friendly. I loved this place and i highly recommend staying there if you are visiting Chattanooga.

Beautiful blueberry bush on the property.

Absolutely heaven on earth for us and our four legged companion. As part of a road trip to Texas we wanted to find a safe, comfortable place close to the interstate that our dog would enjoy as much as us. This exceeded those expectations. Nancy, Wallace, and their four-legged angel Mini were wonderful hosts and treated us to perfect accommodations, a delicious breakfast (the lemon curd pancakes are to die for!) and welcomed us to pick blueberries to take home on their never ending stretch of blueberry bushes. Truly would've never known we were right off the highway if it wasn't for the Netflix. We can't wait until our road trip takes us back through Chattanooga so we can come back!

Staying at St. Francis Cottage truly was the highlight of our trip to Chattanooga. Having such a nice place to return to and unwind in at the end of the day was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and immaculate. The breakfast is delicious and filling. Wallace and Nancy are incredibly friendly and provide just the right amount of privacy.

Monarch Room with a beautiful view!

We had a wonderful experience! My husband had to work and I ask them for a breakfast a little earlier than they usually do it and they were so sweet about accommodating us! It was wonderful food, great experience, and truly great host!

Media room outfitted with at over-sized hi definition tv with state-of-the art surround sound.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!

Lots of restaurants and fast food nearby along with a mall on the other side of the freeway. The hotel itself was just ok. Check-in went smoothly but the front desk staff didn't really want to be bothered. This location has recently been remodeled and our room was modern, as shown in pictures. The room was incredibly dusty and the kitchen area was not clean at all. Jelly beans on floor and stuff that had previously leaked onto the dishwasher. Bathroom was also dusty with a few spiderwebs. It was nice to have a door separating the living area and sleeping area. That was a plus. The pool was very....greenish? Smelled heavily of chemicals. Breakfast was typical hot hotel breakfast foods, juices and coffees. There was an area in the lobby with board games and a table you could play at. Parking was tight. I probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't awful.

We booked through a third-party site that advertised two queen beds. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the hotel only offers king or double/full-size beds. The young lady at the front desk was very apologetic about the mistake, and we appreciated her acknowledging the issue. After getting our belongings and heading to our room, we were immediately disappointed by the cleanliness. There was hair and stains on the sheets and pillows, as well as hair inside the shower. We understand that this is an older hotel, but that should never be an excuse for dirty bedding or an unclean bathroom. Someone was sent to clean the room, but by that time, my wife had already spoken with someone at the front desk, and they decided to move us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn't much better. The carpet had not been vacuumed and had crumbs and toenails throughout it. Two young ladies came in and changed the bedding and vacuumed the room without any hesitation, and we truly appreciated their willingness to help. At that point, we only had time to quickly check one of the beds. After being out all day, we returned to the hotel exhausted. Since we had already experienced dirty sheets earlier, we decided to put pillowcases over the pillows before going to bed. As I was putting one of the pillowcases on, I noticed a stain staring back at me through the old, thin pillowcase. When I removed it to inspect further, I was shocked to find a large blood stain on the pillow. That was the final straw for us. We had our children with us, we were exhausted, and having to deal with these issues was a huge inconvenience. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable staying in the room. The young lady at the front desk was helpful throughout the situation, and we appreciated her assistance. However, she mentioned that housekeeping had been off all day, and I don't believe the blame should be placed solely on housekeeping. This is ultimately a management and company issue. There should be proper quality checks in place to ensure rooms are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before guests arrive. Old and dirty sheets, pillows, and mattresses need to be replaced, because this level of cleanliness is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to find another nearby hotel and pay to stay somewhere else for the night. It wasn't the best situation, but at that point, we needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the great reviews we had read before booking. The staff member at the front desk did her best to help us, but the condition of the rooms and bedding was unacceptable and completely ruined our stay.

Hands down, absolute worst hotel experience ever. I didn't have pet smells like other reviewers, rather my room (110) was covered in black mold. The wall next to the HVAC is literally black. We actually got up at 3:30am just to get the heck out of this place as soon as possible. I let the front desk girl know about the issue. She took my contact info and said a manager would call me. It's been a week and no one has called. Listen, if you're on a long drive and need to sleep, literally just pull over on the side of the road and sleep in a ditch. You'll have better accommodations. Heck, falling asleep at the wheel and crashing might be a better experience than staying in this cow heap of a hotel. This place is beyond disgusting, totally unhealthy, and should be condemned. Also to note, there was black dog hair on the bedding. I have a white cat so it wasn't from my stay. Did they even wash the bedding between guests? Looks like the answer is no. Hotels get listed on wholesale room sites because they have an agreement, sites can't just offer any hotels. I paid in full, arrived at hotel, and was told they wouldn't honor my fully paid booking because Travelocity is a sketchy third party site and I didn't have a reservation.
