The crust is perfect- flaky, light. The filling is kind of like custard- thick, sweet but not overly so, with a hint of coconut (must be an Indiana thing) and a sprinkle of nutmeg. I end up having it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a pie only lasts a day or so with us. It's not quite like my grandmother's, but it's close, and it's a great pie.
