    Strawberry Banana Tumbleweed

Got to go to my husband's cousin's wife's dessert shop today in Columbia City. Everything is gluten free, plant based, vegan & refined sugar. Y'all....She's an absolute evil genius when it comes to this stuff. July is strawberry month so we definitely had to have some of that. We got the strawberry banana tumbleweed first. Fantastic. Then we took home some strawberry macadamia nut cookies & chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Ho-Hos. A Millionaire Bar & some Lemon Cheesecake Ice Cream. Yes. Yes. And yes! We also got to sample a bunch of different ice cream flavors. They were all wonderful. Service was great as well. Everyone was super friendly and extremely helpful. It's really cool to be able to satisfy your sweet tooth without feeling like a bloated wildebeest afterwards. The shop itself is super cute as well. Wishing you much success Julie Hurd! You're so good at what you do!

Holy cow! My family has about Moo-llion different dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten-free, and keto and we were over the Moon when we found this place! I had a Tumbleweed (which is their version of a "Blizzard") and I'm ready to tell DQ to Moo-Over already. Delicious! All three generations from grandma & grandpa down to the little two-year-old kiddo had a blast here. We even picked up an apple pie for the Fourth of July and we can't wait to come back this week to try even more flavors! 5-stars all around!

Stopped in here after lunch at a nearby hot dog and burger joint. We're not from the area and had spent the day hiking at Chain O' Lakes. I didn't realize they specialize in locally made, non-dairy ice cream until after ordering. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was! We were the only ones there at the time and the nice owner told us all about the ice cream and how she makes it herself. She mentioned they do blind tasting events which sounded pretty fun (and delicious). They dishes they use for the ice cream are super cute pots with shovel spoons! In addition to ice cream, they had other sweet treats. We had some of their cider donuts that are gluten free. They had good flavor but as someone who doesn't have an issue with gluten...I didn't prefer them to "normal" donuts. They only negative aspect was that it was quite expensive. Not surprising though, given it's a specialty product and locally made.

Dedicated gluten-free and the ice cream is amazing! My husband and I both got two scoops of different flavors and all four were amazing! Can't recommend this place enough! Worth the drive from Fort Wayne.

We just moved to Columbia City and decided to stop in for my son's birthday. I am so incredibly happy we did! Everyone was so friendly and the ice cream is out of this world!! We will be in frequently to enjoy their ever changing menu!

I am allergic to everything. Okay, not everything but milk, corn, wheat, pumpkin, sodium sulfate, and about two dozen other items. I cried the first time I tried their ice cream! It is safe for me to eat and it's incredibly delicious! Her apple pies are to die for too! Get the coffee crunch, rocky road, or the sunflower butter ice cream!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place

Our evening turned out like this. It was 5:30pm we entered the restaurant and stood patiently in the family dining area . No one came. We sent a scout to the bar upstairs. He came down and told us that we could bring the 8 year old up if we sat in the hallway but it seated 4. Our scout carried a chair upstairs for our 5th party. We waited another 8 min. No one came . After 10 min. We prepared to leave . A server said, " are you leaving?". Yes! And we left. This was a Friday night experience. The server was there by herself. She was intending to cook-serve and bar tend. I wish this place the best. It's adorable. Since I can't judge the food or really the service, my suggestion is to call ahead and see if they are staffed and ready.

It looks like a great place for a wedding reception. Quaint quiet town! The reception area is large and the depot is fantastic Just found out that a band plays here every Thursday. I bet this place will be hopping. Seriously, I wish we were sticking around longer- ordered the bean soup - husband says it's hot and good. Salmon sandwiches and steak burger. Side options are chips or applesauce. The food smells great while we wait. Pop is flat. Beer is cold. Water is wet. Gnat season is in full swing. Food is good. Nothing to ring a bell over but a solid dinner while traveling on 30. Just a mile off the highway!! Would I come back - sure, nothing but miles behind me and more in front of me to make this place a super spot for us to have made a reservation!!!

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

It's a few minutes off the highway, but certainly doesn't feel like you're in Gas City, IN. It looks like they added on an outdoor space recently. Nothing too extravagant, but nice enough for lunch. A nice younger man took care of us on the patio. The menu was quite eclectic and unique. The tortilla chips and cold bean dip was a great way to start. Both our soups were fantastic....cheddar cheese for one and leek soup the other. Fish and chips hit the spot and apparently a fan favorite. My wife had the club sandwich of GF bread. Great little local spot if you're ever in the area.

I got an aloha pizza, I think that the chicken could have been "factory prepared chicken chunks", but it didn't matter because all the topping together made for a perfect harmony of flavors. My only thought was what if it had a sprinkle of cinnamon. Richelle got the pepperoni rolls, or you might as well call them Stromboli. The garlic butter is a good choice, creamy, and not salty. Richelle also got onion rings, which were good too but the ranch siracha is kicking it. The beer selection when we were there was wonderful for a hot July day, I got a Maumee Bay MacQueens cider and Richelle got a Oncore blueberry wet sprocket. Local beer, yum. Our server Alexis was very helpful, helping with beer selections, and dinner choices.
