My kids were visiting from Denver and so we went out to the Saint John's River Grill in Deland and we had a really good time. You can even take your dogs with you and two designated areas which was really fun. The food was really good. The atmosphere is great. You sit right there on the river and watch the boats come in and out and there's lots of RV places the restaurant is very good food. We had some fish and chips and some. Hamburgers and they were really good. Their staff was really polite and nice and quick to serve. Great views very scenic. You should try it. I highly recommend it.

Great place to stop if you're on the river or using the marina. We sat upstairs at the tiki bar and enjoyed the view. There is also indoor seating downstairs at the main restaurant. We ordered a burger, smoked fish dip, mahi bites and old bay shrimp. Everything was tasty and perfect after a hot day on the boat. Drinks are priced great: corona was $4.75 and captain and coke was $6.75.

Great food, and even better atmosphere. Calming setting along the gently rolling St, John's River bordering Volusia and Lake County. We enjoyed sharing the Boom Boom Shrimp Appetizer. My wife opted for the Mahi Sandwich while I went with the Golden Mahi dinner.

This was last week, but someone named "Ian" delayed my review! One of many places to eat on the St John's river and it was great. My club sandwich was HUGE. I'm not kidding, every one was like, we should have ordered THAT! I could barely it half, it was very tasty. My friends had the corned beef reuben and the pulled pork sandwich, both chose coleslaw as the side. I can't comment on their French fries as I elected not to upgrade, but I would have hadt9 give up a quarter of my club to have room for any. My husband are the other half of my club when I got home and loved it. My friends pronounced theirs delicious, as well. We had a drink while waiting, mine was the mermaid, refreshing!

When you want to wet your whistle and fill your belly with some yummy food while watching boats go by, St. John's River Grille is your place. We lucked in on Taco Tuesday. Hubs & I were with our friend so we each got a different taco and then shared one of each. That gave us each three completely different taco adventures. My shrimp taco was the best tasting shrimp--even hubs liked it. He thinks shrimp has no flavor. I think he was dropped on his head as a child. ;p Service was speedy and friendly. Food and bevs were delicious. Watching boats coming and going along the St. Johns River was relaxing and peaceful. We'll definitely be back to enjoy this hidden gem.

We spent the afternoon at the rooftop bar while camping at the KOA, it appeared most of the patrons were camping as well on this holiday weekend. The Tiki Hut bar is a great amenity of this restaurant as it is for the campground, Katie was tending the bar during our visit, her customer service skills and friendly personality made for a perfect day drinking event. The bar is stock with top shelf liquor, a few popular drafts and accommodations for all your frozen drink pleasures. It was a sugar free RedBull and Tito's kind of day for me, the Florida heat and humidity required doubles with lot of ice and it only took a nod in Katie's direction to get another set-up. My girl was trying out the frozen side of the menu and being each came with a side-car I certainly had to taste the creative concoctions coming from the blender. Although I kept to my choice of drinks I must say the frozen cocktails were on par. The elevated view of the river is breathtaking, the deck wrapping the bar has a number of tables and a row of stools so there's plenty of seating options, it's obvious this place can get busy, but today the clientele seem to come and go after grabbing a bite and a drink or two. We tried a few appetizers to balance out the buzz, the gator bites were prepared perfectly and served with a Chili Thai sweet dipping sauce with a little heat I definitely recommend these. After a few more cocktails we decided to try the giant pretzel, I didn't read the full description but I'm guessing this salty treat is deep fried or maybe oiled and baked in a very hot oven, the center was nice and chewy encrusted in a crispy outer shell, although I didn't care for the beer cheese accompanying it I could snack on these all afternoon. We didn't come here to dine but the majority of the customers were enjoying burgers, they seemed legit I didn't hear any complaints between sips. It appears they use bar-backs or runners to get the food up to this elevated platform for Katie to distribute after inspecting each plate for accuracy. I'm a fan of Tiki Bars and this one literally takes it to another level (no pun intended). This place is close enough to frequent and the campground takes the drive out of the equation so it's a no-brainer for me and I wouldn't change a thing, it's got an Old Florida Charm element so some may find it a tad rustic so you can check any pretentiousness at the bottom of the stairs and enjoy...

It was very difficult to find, the service was slow. The food was good, and wonderful to be close to the water.

He knew all about the show and thought we should be finished with our dining by 7:10 in order to get to the theater on time. Our waitress was Amber. When she asked for our order we said we'd like some wine and sip for a few minutes before we started eating. She replied that she knew we were going to the show and that they were booked pretty heavily and sometimes the kitchen might be backed up in that situation. She told us about the specials in excellent detail, all the while keeping a genuine smile on her face. We worked the timing details out and Amber was on top of it. My wife had the Cress Salad and I had the Escargot appetizer. Main course came out when we finished the salad and appetizer. We had the Hanger Steak and the Duck breast; both were absolutely perfectly well prepared and delicious. Amber kept her eyeon us - didn't hover, but was there whenever we needed her and always very pleasant. All-in-all a great experience - both in service and in quality/flavor of our food.

Let me explain... we thought the tuna tartar was delicious. The elk bolognese seems to enjoyable. My shirmp and grits was a bit on the salty side. I'm glad I asked for sauce on the side, and even with half the sauce, it was still too much. The most disappointing part is the chicken tikka masala. There was tiny bits of chicken, and too too much root vegetables, at different cooking levels, which make it both confusing and slighly annoying. Last, we tried the creme brulee, and the top was essentially a layer of slightly cooked sugar... I'll try the scallops next time. Maybe.

It was a Saturday, and had a brunch menu, but I opted for a regular lunch. Ample seating outside and inside. The service was a bit slow, and food took quite some time, but I feel like thats a hit or miss with all restaurants, and could just be that one time. The menu itself has some really great options so it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering the clam chowder. It had a really nice flavor and really enjoyed it, not too many clams though. For my entree I ordered the bulgogi bahn mi.... And I get it "salted" is part of the name of this restaurant, but it was so so salty, almost inedible salty-. Overall really cute restaurant, vibe and concept, but I'd definitely order something else if I ever went back.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.
