For $17.99 you get endless boneless wings (basically saucy nuggies) until you are full. They offer chicken and meatless (cauliflower) with a list of sauces and dry rubs. We went as a group of 4 and split the flavours to try a good portion. The server was great and mentioned that we should check with them if their meatless option changes as it was previously not cauliflower filled. Honestly, we missed out of ordering the meatless earlier on and only enjoyed it at the end. It was pretty good for a vegetarian option! The sauce level is just enough, the dill sauce is great and you get refills as desired. We just got water and no fries and just pure protein. This is a sports bar, you can see a screen anywhere is in restaurant, it's cozy and there is lots of tables, booth, bar seating to enjoy time with friends and a sporting event. Service was good, they had great timing and there wasn't much wait time between our orders and everything came out quick, hot, no issues. Sauces tried: - st. Louis hot sauce; sour notes and spicy, imo mild compared to Korean or Thai profiles, great option - authentic buffalo; good standard buffalo option, not spicy - Louis 92 BBQ; smoky, slight tinge - hot and honey; a bit variable as some pieces had a numb spicy while others didn't, nice sweetness - honey Cajun; better than dry Cajun, good light flavour - honey garlic; can't go wrong, safe base option, not garlicky at all - garlic Parm; surprisingly good, nice strong flavour - Mississippi BBQ; great smoky BBQ flavour - dry rub lemon pepper; v weak lemon taste, not worth it Of all the flavours, the spicy options were the best, the garlic Parm stood out and the honey garlic was a great neutral option. My friend and I came here to try their wingsanity (AYCE wings) event and was surprised to see such a good selection of sauces and dry rubs. I really enjoyed the fries that came with it, they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I tried their '92 BBQ, honey garlic and garlic parm sauces on alternating boneless and bone in wings. I thought it was a neat experience and that I could see myself coming back here to eat it again when in the mood for some greasy AYCE haha. I was at this location with a friend on July 14 1. There was a board outside the door advertising a discount on domestic beer so we ordered Steam Whistle - it was not included in the promotion. 2. Once seated, we were asked to move - I have never had this happen before. 3. The Steam Whistle, when it arrived, did not taste right / tasted off. The manager / owner dismissed this and kept excusing it "We have it delivered every week ...". He did not accept / acknowledge what we were saying. The beer was returned and we had Stella Artois. When paying the bill, it turns out that the young lady serving us had covered the price of the Steam Whistle!! We left an extra $10 ($5 each) on top of the tip and made it clear to the owner / manager that this was NOT RIGHT / NOT FAIR!! Some notes on ribsanity: you need to finish your fries/side if you want to order a second round of ribs as part of ribsanity--so order carefully! Your first order will be a whole rack (12 ribs), the subsequent rounds will be half-racks (6 ribs) The service was pretty good and the staff were very nice. The ribs are probably one of their best items, it really is nice fall-off-the-bone juicy ribs with good sauce choices! It was a good deal as it was basically the same price as a full rack ($28), but with a free flow of ribs (no free flow of sides though; they may ask you to finish the side before getting more ribs so fries are a bad choice). Quality was surprisingly good given it's a chain - the ribs had a nice smoky flavour. All 6 rib sauces were at least decent. Louis 92 (spicy BBQ - just mild spicy) was surprisingly the best, as a spin on bbq sauce Smokey BBQ (bold) was decent but could be more complex. Memphis (classic) & Mississipi (sweet) were decent. Limited flavours Pineapple Chipotle (off-BBQ) & Carolina Gold (basically mustard) tasted more similar than you'd expect - sour & spicy. If you've had generic supermarket frozen fried chicken tenders before you'll probably know a little about how the boneless wings tasted like at St Louis. It basically tasted like frozen chicken bites that were heated up in a microwave and tossed in nondescript sauce. It was so bad I wanted to dry retch at the table. Just couldn't stomach anymore. The service? None existent. Our server was nice enough when she was around, but she was barely around. Kinda like the fun parent that only shows up once in a while. I went on a Tuesday around 6:30pm for the half-price wing deal and should have known better. The wings were small, dry and lacked meat on them. I prefer dry wings and the seasoning was poorly applied (see picture). Usually I'm decently full from a pound of wings but because these wings were so small, my buddy and I decided to split another order. Wings aside, the service was also poor - waitresses left us alone for long periods of time and didn't acknowledge us when we called them. I spent the last day and a half at a conference downtown. After it ended today, I had lunch nearby at St. Louis. I love love love St. Louis' wings and their dipping sauce. The last time Gord and I were there was in November 2012 and we didn't have a good experience. I swore I'd never go back to this location. But I thought I'd check them out today and hoped maybe we'd just gone on an off-night. I ordered what I always order ... medium wings. Because this is a wing restaurant, I was surprised that it took 35 minutes for my meal to arrive after I'd ordered it. The wings were overcooked (so were a bit dry) and oversauced ... their wings usually do have sauce on them but these had more than usual. I came here with my girlfriend for their Wingsanity promotion a couple weeks ago. Purchase a drink and AYCE wings are $19.99. It's 1.5 pounds for your first round (comes with fries) and half a pound every round after that (no fries, but we didn't try asking). Seriously? How the hell do you mess up one of your features this badly? Let's get specific on how embarrassingly awful this was. - Authentic buffalo wings had way too much vinegar/acidity in the sauce. I didn't finish even a single wing and had to literally set the basket away from me so I could breathe since having it in front of me felt like I was choking on vinegar fumes. - Franks Hot Dry Rub was way too salty. Barely tasted the hot sauce at all. This and the authentic buffalo were the biggest regrets. - Girlfriend tried the Buffalo Ranch as wings and as boneless. She said they were decent as wings. She liked the texture of the boneless, but for some reason the boneless were a lot saltier, as in too salty. - Hot & Honey? Same as above, according to her. - Garlic Parmesan wings were the saving grace. So good. I don't know if the others being so bad made these ones extra better but they were delicious. - Fries were fine. Girlfriend liked them, I hated them. They're the big thick cut kind. Hit or miss based on personal preference. - The dipping sauce they serve with their fries (or wings, if you like that) is super yum. However, when our meals came out (there were 4 of us) only 3 meals came out. My chicken and waffles was missing. Our server blamed the kitchen and said it would be 10 more minutes. I waited and when it came it was tasty, but the waffles weren't cooked all the way through. That was disappointing, but the chicken was good. One of our group informed the server of the issue with my meal and they took it off; which seemed like the right thing to do. I wasn't impressed and would probably not go back there. The other issue is that they don't carry coke products, which isn't a big deal, unless you order a mixed drink with coke and they use Pepsi. They were unable to accommodate us for Tuesday half-priced wings, so instead they booked us for Monday and extended the half-price discount. In terms of a dining experience, I would rate St. Louis as just being 'okay' or mediocre. I can't exactly say the food taste great or bad, but just 'okay.' St. Louis offers the usual menu of food a classic bbq joint would offer such as wings, ribs, fries, burgers, and beers. I have to mention that the food prices are a little bit pricey so I would recommend ordering the daily special to cut your bill in half. This is the worst location in Toronto! Been to other locations and was massively disappointed by this one. If I could I would give this location a 0 star rating. Service is extremely slow when it's not half price wing day and the quality of food is trash. We went around 8:50 pm for their half price appetizers, particularly for their wing poutine. Keep in mind that there were only about ten customers including us(2) when we were there. We ordered one calamari and two wing poutines. It took close to FIFTY minutes for our calamari to arrive and for our waitress to tell us that there was not enough gravy for our poutines. HUUUH?! Why did it take the 50 minutes to tell us that? There is clearly ZERO communication all around within their team if it takes that long to tell customers that something is sold out. Also when we received the calamari, there was only about EIGHT full small pieces!!! Imagine paying $12.99 for that! Even though it was half off I felt like it was still a rip off. Whenever our server was busy, another one stepped in. We had multiple servers throughout the night, which is uncommon. Our orders were taken shortly after being seated. It took about half an hour to get our food (which is the average). I ordered the garlic dill chicken burger (with crispy chicken) and my partner ordered the chicken lettuce wrap. The servers kept apologizing about the long wait, which we didn't notice. The chicken burger was spicy and flavourable. The fries were crispy and crunchy. My partner found the lettuce wrap flavourable as well, which you don't find in most low calorie dishes. One of our servers gave us her employee discount to compensate for the allegedly long wait. Not my favorite St. Louie's location, but it sure is convenient after work. Located inside the Atrium on Bay, it's right on the subway line and next to the Eaton Center. A huge bonus is that this place takes reservations for big groups on a Tuesday wing night, Duff's does not... Half-price wings are awesome. I usually order 1 pound of hot and honey wings, but went with the 2 pounds! ...That's a lot of wings and they let you pack leftovers... which many wing places won't let you do on wing night. I upgraded to sweet potato fries, which were skinny and tasty, and came with a plastic container of the chipotle mayo. But for the additional charge +$1.99, next time I'll just go with the regular fries which are still good. The staff was friendly and when we asked to put the Leafs game on, they happily did so! :) Good wings... Decent service... But I prefer a rowdier place to watch a game. read more
