Pineapple chipotle full rack of ribs
    Joy H.

Came here for their AYCE ribsanity promo and it's definitely worth it! Some notes on ribsanity: you need to finish your fries/side if you want to order a second round of ribs as part of ribsanity--so order carefully! Your first order will be a whole rack (12 ribs), the subsequent rounds will be half-racks (6 ribs) The service was pretty good and the staff were very nice. The ribs are probably one of their best items, it really is nice fall-off-the-bone juicy ribs with good sauce choices! Their new pineapple chipotle flavour is unique compared to the others and my favourite amongst the traditional BBQ flavours. I'd definitely be looking to come back for the next ribsanity!

Had all you can eat ribs (ribsanity). It was a good deal as it was basically the same price as a full rack ($28), but with a free flow of ribs (no free flow of sides though; they may ask you to finish the side before getting more ribs so fries are a bad choice). Quality was surprisingly good given it's a chain - the ribs had a nice smoky flavour. All 6 rib sauces were at least decent. Louis 92 (spicy BBQ - just mild spicy) was surprisingly the best, as a spin on bbq sauce Smokey BBQ (bold) was decent but could be more complex. Memphis (classic) & Mississipi (sweet) were decent. Limited flavours Pineapple Chipotle (off-BBQ) & Carolina Gold (basically mustard) tasted more similar than you'd expect - sour & spicy. The coleslaw was not good though: raw with little flavour.

Food quality is up and down. Wings poutine usually is just lukewarm. We went for the Sunday beer special so it's not too bad. Lots of people though and lack of servers so it's a bit slow. When we wanted to pay had to go to the bar to remind them. It was packed so it was lively. Temperature was good.

Average chain sports bar. Food was over cooked and over salted. Poutine was tasty. Service was wonderful. If your looking for average bar food and plenty of TVs to watch a game, it's an okay spot.

I was there for FIFA World Cup final and place was packed early in the morning. It was a great time.

A measly excuse for a pound of chicken wings

I specifically avoid this location due to their lack of care for the customer. They are slow. The food is usually. Cold, and you'll either get 8 wings or 8 legs. And I'm serious, only 8 wings per pound.... Come on now. 1 pound of wings and no legs ? Quite idiotic. This is a 23$ meal ladies and gentlemen, you'll get more food if you buy 4 piece chicken nugget happy meals. I avoid st.Louis cause it's rather expensive, I can enjoy their fries with some plain wings. Sauce offerings are Ok. 1 star. If there was 0.5 I'd of picked that. Food was cold Over priced and you'll never get what you pay for.... choose wisely.

I went on a Tuesday around 6:30pm for the half-price wing deal and should have known better. The wings were small, dry and lacked meat on them. I prefer dry wings and the seasoning was poorly applied (see picture). Usually I'm decently full from a pound of wings but because these wings were so small, my buddy and I decided to split another order. Wings aside, the service was also poor - waitresses left us alone for long periods of time and didn't acknowledge us when we called them. Now I know they get extremely busy on a Tuesday, especially after office hours, but I've been to other locations during these times that are larger, busier and with less staff - but have received better service. Don't think I'll be coming back to this location.

I spent the last day and a half at a conference downtown. After it ended today, I had lunch nearby at St. Louis. I love love love St. Louis' wings and their dipping sauce. The last time Gord and I were there was in November 2012 and we didn't have a good experience. I swore I'd never go back to this location. But I thought I'd check them out today and hoped maybe we'd just gone on an off-night. I ordered what I always order ... medium wings. Because this is a wing restaurant, I was surprised that it took 35 minutes for my meal to arrive after I'd ordered it. The wings were overcooked (so were a bit dry) and oversauced ... their wings usually do have sauce on them but these had more than usual. So not a great meal again and I mean it this time when I say I won't be back at this location.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

Same waiter comes back five minutes later with no drink and asks AGAIN for my food allergies, explaining that I have to tell him that I have one. I calmly explained that the situation is weird and making me uncomfortable as I dont understand what is going on or why they are taking issue with me. She left and 20 minutes later, they came to the table and told me they are refusing service and that I would be escorted out. We ended up sitting at the bar since we were walk-ins. It is also a very low light restaurant, especially at night. so it might not be the best place for older adults or those who are visually impaired. Service was good, however, we were somewhat forgotten at times since we were tucked away in a dark corner. We ended up ordering the Truffle Fries, the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, the Korean Chicken, and the Vodka Pie. The truffle fries were crisp and plentiful. We added sausage to the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, and it was delicious paired with the pizza. The Korean Chicken were bite sized and flavourful as well. However, The vodka Pie haunts me in my dreams. I think I crave this pizza about every week. The pizza at King Taps has one of the best crusts I've ever had, and the vodka sauce is to die for. We started with the Brussels sprouts which is always a great choice from here. Crispy on the outside and not an overwhelming Brussels sprout taste. This is likely because there is a generous sprinkling of grated parm and a great amount of dip. We tried the crispy tuna sushi. The tuna was beautifully marinated, so flavourful. And the sushi was nice and crispy. The vodka pie was a seasonal item and when we saw it listed, we knew we needed to try it. The sauce- amazing, the press was nice and flaky and light and really tasty. And the soccer Sada added nice saltines and flavour without being too overwhelming. For happy hour, the apps and pizzas were $5 off, and the ranch water was $5. I'd come back for the pizza alone! Jeans was our waitress and she was great!
