    Big breakfast with French toast.

I actually would rate them as 3.5. Definitely a pretty standard place to grab some brunch or other food, I wouldn't look for anything to unusual here, but if you were happy with a good standards or even a hearty breakfast, you have found the right place. It's also pretty reasonable so and right Downtown Toronto, so you gotta like that. If you're catching a afternoon matinee at the Scotiabank movie theater, it steps away, so pretty handy. The server was really fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and just really friendly and personable. Highly recommend for the service alone. There's a variety of booze and you can even sit at the bar if you want. So it seems to be quite spacious. You can also reserve an Open table. We had a big breakfast with French toast. I found the bacon could've been a little more well cooked for me. Especially since I asked for it being crispy, but it was OK. The rest was pretty good like I said a standard breakfast. And they did leave us alone to kind of have a nice chat . Getting there. I know there are parking garages nearby including one right next to the Scotiabank Theatre. Otherwise, there's TTC that will get you close by. It's located on the SE corner of Richmond and Peter.

Came here for Tuesday Trivia, which happens to coincide with their Tuesday 95cent wing special. You can get 95 cent wings (minimum 8 wings per flavour) with the purchase of any beverage. There were quite a few wing flavours to choose from, I got Sriracha Honey and my friend got the BBQ. The beers were incredibly cheap - just their everyday prices they had a lot of $5 beers from a local brewer which is unbelievable value. The wings were quite jumbo and came out steaming hot. I got my sauce on the side so the wings stayed crispy (which is how I normally order my wings). They tasted great and I would definitely come back. 8 wings were enough to satisfy me for dinner, and I reckon they were at least a pound in total. The trivia itself was good - some of the questions were way too easy but some were a good level of difficult. I would say (as an avid Toronto pub trivia goer) that on average this trivia is a bit easier than other ones I've encountered in the city, but I like the content and it's a great "general knowledge" trivia for all audiences. The service was friendly albeit a little slow (took a long time to pay and get our food boxed up). The decor is also pretty whatever. Overall the value for money is amazing though and I'd def come back!

Great vibes, especially when a game is on. Drinks are reasonably priced for downtown and the menu is huge with lots of options. The daily specials are great as well. I had the Jack wrap and really enjoyed it. I love that onion rings are an option for the side. Will have to get those next time.

Decided to check this place out as I was in neighbourhood. I went after 1pm. The door is heavy to open and not many people inside. Maybe I missed the lunch crowd? Sign says Seat Yourself, so I did. Ended up going to the bar to point out where I was sitting as it didn't seem like anyone was about to come over. I thought maybe I had to order at the bar. Not really an inviting vibe. Maybe it's different in the evening. I just looked at the specials advertising at the table so I ordered the wings & fries special for that day. Wings 4/5 - quite large size drums/flats. Not too saucy. The medium sauce was quite good. 1 piece each of a carrot & celery. Didn't care for the dip.... Seemed like it was a ranch or onion flavour. My friend raved about a blue cheese dip, so maybe ask for it. Fries - 3/5. Not fresh cut so I already don't like them. Plus this kind has that weird coating on them....why?? Not sure who likes those. Not me. Could taste a bit of the oil too. Not a fan. Not sure I'd go back unless my friend twisted my arm to try something else on the menu.

A bit delayed but this was our go-to spot to watch the Jay's World Series Run. One Eyed Jacks has a sports-bar vibe but with a twist; they have a breakfast menu until 3pm! Theres alot of tvs in this place to catch the various sports games going on through out the year and on top of that, there is alot of room inside for parties/groups. The back area is a cozy spot for date night or for a small group to have intimate quiet conversations as well. Separate from your standard pub/bar menu they have alot of favourites including a braised short rib grilled cheese, beef tenderloin philly and of course a peppercorn steak. Great choice when you're downtown Toronto to watch the game or for a date night!

Nice pub. Cane here for .75 wing & trivia night. Trivia host was good (really didn't love how much he used AI image generation) and the wings were tasty. Waitress was nice. May come back in the future.

This sports bar is perfect for game nights! With multiple big screens spread throughout the restaurant and a fantastic menu, it's an ideal spot to catch all the action while enjoying great food and drinks. The lively atmosphere, with games playing on the screens and friendly staff, makes it a fun place to be. They also have a more private room for private events and gatherings. They have daily offers like 95 cents wings on Tuesdays, or 30% off appetizers on Wednesdays. They also have Magic Nights on Thursdays, which adds more fun. We ordered "Coconut Shrimp", "Nachos Grande" and "Sweet Potato Fries" to share. And paired them with some cocktails. For main, "Ribs and Wings Combo" and "Angry Salmon". And who could've resisted the Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes? So, we ordered "Mango Cheesecake" and "Brownie with Ice Cream" and paired them with "Espresso Martini". The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. The coconut shrimp was very filling, almost a complete meal itself. Salmon had perfect kick to it, but not too spicy for our taste.

This was our second trip to Toronto, and we set out with a mission: try new restaurants we hadn't visited before. But our first stop lacked the vibe we were hoping for--and with hunger creeping in, tensions started rising. So we pivoted to a reliable favorite: One Eyed Jack. And it didn't disappoint. The place was quiet and comfortably cool, with something playing on TV to keep us entertained while we waited for our food and drinks. The salad was not only delicious but generously sized--perfect for sharing while we regrouped and planned our next adventure.

Casual chill vibes and gigantic portions Food: We were here to celebrate a co-worker, and ordered a range of appetizers (crispy calamari, chicken tenders) and I ordered the blushing lobster pasta for the main. When the chicken tenders came out, they smelled like fish, which was odd because we didn't order any. It was likely because they fry seafood in the same oil. The portion for the main was gigantic, and was honestly too much for one person. The lobster was cooked nicely, and the presentation in the shell was beautiful. The rose sauce was a bit too heavy for my taste, but overall, was cooked well and tasted great. Service: The restaurant was pretty big and we had a table on the outside. The staff were friendly but were a little disorganized at the beginning, which was understood as we had a larger group than initially reserved for. The didn't note down the placements of the meals, and we had to remind them of who ordered what. Atmosphere: The place is newly renovated and was clean and simple, good for a casual or business meal. It's catered more as a pub for watching sports, with several televisions inside.

One Eyed Jack maybe my new favorite pub in Toronto. Where else can you find drink specials all week long? $7 Margaritas on Mondays, $7 martinis on Tuesdays, $7 international beer pints on Wednesday....the list goes on! Another reason to visit is for their free trivia night every Tuesday. We got their seafood linguine and wings. The former was exceptional and portion size was great too. They have daily specials for both drinks and food. Service was quick and efficient too.

One Eyed Jack is my new favourite neighbourhood sports bar. With plenty of TVs and a spacious patio, it's a great place to watch the Leafs meltdown on national TV with your fellow fans. The acoustics are great for all the screams and shouts when the Leafs score a big goal; it's a shame that it rarely ever happens. Also the service is immaculate, they've always got their eye on the ball - unlike Mitch Marner - and they'll make sure your pint glass is never empty so you'll have a place to drown your sorrows. They also have plenty of daily deals on food to keep your belly just as full as the Leafs' nets. The food is a bit mid (wings and fries are good but stay far away from any seafood), but when you're watching the Leafs lose another game 7, anything you can stress eat is great by comparison. Can't wait to watch the Leafs lose again here next year!

This restaurant is somewhat new, so me and my partner decided to try the food here. Upon entering, the staff greeted us and showed us a table. The staff were very attentive and gave great recommendations. On Thursdays they have a deal for wings and fries. We also got the lobster dip which was amazing! The wing portions were so big we had to pack them up and take them home. They were very crispy and packed with flavour. I'll definitely be back!

Highly underrated place!! The portions are huge for such good prices. Everything was super flavourful and I did not regret ordering anything I tried during my visit. The steak had excellent char on it while the linguine was very rich and fresh! Really good service as well. There was also a magician coming to each table to do a little show during dinner time (I think it's every Wednesday). Would visit again!

It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

We ended up sitting at the bar since we were walk-ins. It is also a very low light restaurant, especially at night. so it might not be the best place for older adults or those who are visually impaired. Service was good, however, we were somewhat forgotten at times since we were tucked away in a dark corner. We ended up ordering the Truffle Fries, the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, the Korean Chicken, and the Vodka Pie. The truffle fries were crisp and plentiful. We added sausage to the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, and it was delicious paired with the pizza. The Korean Chicken were bite sized and flavourful as well. However, The vodka Pie haunts me in my dreams. I think I crave this pizza about every week. The pizza at King Taps has one of the best crusts I've ever had, and the vodka sauce is to die for. We started with the Brussels sprouts which is always a great choice from here. Crispy on the outside and not an overwhelming Brussels sprout taste. This is likely because there is a generous sprinkling of grated parm and a great amount of dip. We tried the crispy tuna sushi. The tuna was beautifully marinated, so flavourful. And the sushi was nice and crispy. The vodka pie was a seasonal item and when we saw it listed, we knew we needed to try it. The sauce- amazing, the press was nice and flaky and light and really tasty. And the soccer Sada added nice saltines and flavour without being too overwhelming.
