I tried this place over the weekend based on these reviews and am happy I did. The prices are surprisingly low: $35 for my mani and pedi...total! The ladies that work there are very nice and were constantly asking me if I was comfortable and adjusting my chair. The woman who spoke the best English even called me by my first name throughout my visit, which is rare for these types of nail salons. They genuinely care about their customers and I appreciated it. I didn't go into the waxing room or restroom, but from what I saw, the salon was very clean. After the customer next to me finished her pedi, one of the employees came and thoroughly scrubbed and sanitized the foot spa, and wiped down the arm rests. This was reassuring to a germaphobe such as myself. They did a great job on my hands and feet and have a good selection of OPI polish. Because they had 2 ladies working on my mani/pedi, I was done in 45 minutes. If you're going on the weekend without an appointment I would suggest going first thing in the morning. I noticed the place began to get busy just before noon on Saturday. I can't speak for the waxing services, but this was a great place for a basic mani/pedi, and you can't beat the prices. My Fred Flintstone toes really needed attention after about...say ten years since my last pedicure. So before going to NYC last summer and being laughed out of midtown for questionable looking digits, I went here for a pedicure since it's nearby and had good ratings. I've been probably a half dozen times getting pedicures, manicures and shellac manicures. As someone who avoided getting my nails attended to since around the turn of the century, I may not be the best judge on what is "good" or what color choices are great. But I can say is that the ladies here are always nice, polite and attentive and my toes, with all their unpleasant toe-ish side effects, feel a lot better after going here than when I went to see a podiatrist. They look good too. They give you a little foot, leg and hand massage, which is nice although I could skip that part. The last two visits involved shellac manicures--the first one lasted over two weeks. (The second one is new.) My toes generally could go a whole month if I'd let them. On both occasions I've brought my elderly, 86 year old mother. The people here have treated her with KID GLOVES making sure to be gentle with her, offering her a pillow for her back and being respectful to her, plus making her very happy with her toes and nails. Unfortunately I've passed by here numerous times and never stopped simply because it just looked like another nail salon...WRONG! They need bigger signs! When I saw the positive reviews I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did! WOW! This is the BEST nail salon I have experienced that doesn't charge an arm (pun) and a leg (pun). It was truly a wonderful experience. I had both the manicure and pedicure. The massages alone were worth the money. This place is spotless and it doesn't have the "nail salon" oder. The chairs are the best I've ever felt. Yes, they do knead your butt!!!! The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Everything about this place is outstanding. I joined Yelp today just so I could rave about this place. As someone who never gets manicures or pedicures because of 1) the cost and 2) the fact they never last, I can say without hesitation that ST Nails has converted me. While the pedicure turned out great, I am most pleased with my manicure. When I do my polish at home, it lasts around about a day before chipping off. When I've gotten manicures at other places around Seattle, they, too, tend to start chipping and cracking within 36 hours of being finished. The latter irritates me to no end because I absolutely hate feeling like I've wasted money. Not only is my polish still on from last Sunday afternoon, it is not chipped, damaged or looking crappy in anyway. AMAZING!!! One last perk? They give 10% off services to first-time customers. This place is TERRIBLE. I was going to a wedding in New Jersey, and a friend and I went to get our nails done. I'm a student, so I called around to find the cheapest place to go, and they told me it would be $55 for a Shellac Mani, and a normal pedi. We came in, and it was great. It was really nice, but they separated my friend and I, which sucked, but whatever. It was really nice inside, and since it was the middle of the day, we had the salon to ourselves, so its was okay. I my ring finger to be a different color than my other fingers, and I thought I had made that pretty clear, but she just ignored that and painted ally my fingers one color until I pointed it out.I picked this salon because they also do waxing, and I needed my eyebrows done as well. The lady completely forgot that she was supposed to wax my brows until she was telling me i needed to pay! When it came time to pay, the lady I had talked to on the phone said it was now $65, and that I had heard her wrong, even though I clarified over the phone. But an extra $10, whatever. its not THAT big of a deal. The part that made me the most mad came 3 days later...when my Shellac manicure started to chip. After the wedding, I was leaving the country to go study abroad, so its not like I could just go get my nails fixed. Shellac is supposed to last 2 weeks without chipping, and although it typically lasts about 11 days for me, THREE days is unacceptable. I am definitely NOT going to be going back there! I will continue to go back to Night Light Nails instead of this shitty place. read more

I cheated on my other nail place yesterday, and it was totally worth it! After dropping off kiddo for his Sunday morning activity, I found I had a few hours to myself. Yes, I could have driven home & done something more productive, but why - when ST Nails is RIGHT THERE, with a 5-star rating?! I walked in shortly after opening (10 a.m. on Sunday) & was able to get seated right away for a pedicure & Shellac manicure. The place was super clean & the two women working there were very friendly. They were fast without being sloppy (it started to get busy around 11 a.m.), they called in reinforcements (2 more folks showed up to help accomodate the other customers) & I walked out with the best mani/pedi I've had in a while. For the Shellac manicure, it is the first walk-in salon where they used all CND products. The polish, the oil & the UV/drying lamps. I don't know if that made a huge difference or if it was just their technique, but this is the first Shellac manicure that turned out nearly perfect. At my other nail place, it can be hit or miss, depending on who does it, how their (non-CND brand) UV/drying lamps are performing, etc... And as far as the pedicure, well let's just say that being 7+ months pregnant can do a number on your calves. I tend to wake up at night with leg cramps pretty regularly & didn't realize how sore they were until she started rubbing them. Once I got past the sore part, it was heavenly & worth every extra little bit that it cost to go here. So yes, it is a little pricier than my regular neighborhood spot. But for a little extra pampering & quality without the super fancy salon price tag, it's definitely worth it! They have been open about 9 months & are eager to build their customer base. They have a 10% first time client discount & a repeat customer punch card (after 9 visits, you get a mani or pedi free). They said weekends are very busy, but weekdays are slow - so if you want to be sure you get service quickly, I recommend a weekday, though showing up at opening time on the weekend works too! read more

I tried ST Nails because I was in a bind and my regular salon was booked. I went in for an acrylic fill and gel polish change. There are three reasons I won't be going back. 1) My nails didn't hold up. This where the rubber hits the road. If you're like me, you'll deal with a lot if your nails are on point and last. But within a day, the I was already having issues. Nail lifting. Gel polish not set and causing cracks. Uneven thickness. 2) Poor service. This is the type of nail salon that doesn't respect people's time. Even when people had appointments they had to wait. I myself was a walk-in. I waited a while and had my service interrupted several times so they could serve more customers. I don't think this was my nail techs fault. It's clearly how management wants to run the business which leaves everyone, staff included, feeling hurried. The experience was anything but relaxing. I felt like I was causing inconvenience for ST Nails and other customers. Don't want this feeling if I'm paying for a service. 3) Not great skill. I've gone to many nail salons in my day and you know when people are highly skilled and when they are not. Perhaps it was the rush, but I was cut here and had my nails drilled too far down. My nails hurt for a few days after. A feeling I haven't had in awhile...back when I was in college and getting my nails done for the cheapest I could find. Furthermore, I am suspicious of the cleanliness here. Didn't see any of the tools used on me come from sterilized areas or fresh nail files or buffers. All in all I'll stick with my normal salon from now on. read more

I have to admit that I'm skeptical at best when it comes to nail salons and thought I'd found the perfect salon in Seattle....until I came to ST Nails. I mainly came here because they were reasonably priced and open on Sundays. My schedule is very busy with work, so their Sunday hours lured me in. I'm happy to report that they do a fantastic job! The shop is kept very clean and they don't rush you out, AND they do what you ask. I have my eyebrows waxed here as well. Great job! Parking could be an issue, but if the lot is full I simply drive North on 25th and park at the park just a little up the road and walk. It's not a big deal. 10% off your first visit and a punch card. This place was okay... We've been here twice because it's convenient after we moved further from our regular place. Everyone is nice and do a good job but they must use a really weak top coat. I just get a normal mani//pedi polish, but both times they have chipped and look tore up within a day or two. They are also about $5 more than most places for a mani/pedi. Really disappointing. Favorite nail salon by far. Always like to try new places but I end up coming back to ST every time. The salon is clean, workers are very nice and attentive to your needs, great prices and they always do an amazing job on my acrylic nails. This last time i went they suggested I try the powder nails since they are healthier for your nails than acrylic, and I love them. Can't wait to try different colors for the powder. This place consistently goes above and beyond when it comes to service and quality. The ladies (and gentlemen) are very kind and knowledgeable (and they know that if you apply shellac right up to the cuticle, it will bubble and be ruined). This is my go-to place when I want a hygienic, quick, and relatively inexpensive pedicure. The polish selection is great, the equipment is clean, and the staff are friendly, especially if you are a regular. My toes always look nicely cleaned-up after an appointment with no polish on the cuticle or skin, and my pedicure lasts at least 2 weeks no matter who I see. The only thing I don't LOVE is that they really don't do much in the way of exfoliating or massaging-- that part of the pedicure seems very cursory. But if I really wanted all of that I'd probably go to Gene Juarez and pay out the nose for it. read more

These guys are great. I have tried a number of other nail joints around the wedgewood/ravenna area, these guys win. They are on par, pricewise with just about everyone. But their skill is what puts them on top. I have had two manicures here so far, and both have been excellent. The first, a shellac, was done beautifully, carried to the edges, the top coat sealed really well. I had it taken off two weeks later, and except for growout, it looked totally fresh. I have had other shellacs start lifting after a week, this didn't lift at all. The second was a regular manicure. The polish looks fantastic. Just really well done. They even quickly fixed my nail when stupid me messed it up. They have a huge selection of high quality colors, including CND everything and every color of OPI. They massage you right up to the shoulders, and they now how to give a massage. read more

My friend and I called before and were told to come in whenever. We waited about 15 mins before even getting to sit down which is fine. We had one lady for the both of us. My friend got a normal manicure and her nails were super messy and you could see through the nail polish. I got my acrylics removed and it took her about an hour to get them removed and they're still not fully off. It took so long that I just had to say I had to go. I actually need to go back and have 2 repairs done per I lifted 2 nails this weekend.... will drive out of my way to get repairs done by them. 1/11/26 I originally did this review with 4 stars, I am changing this to 2 stars. Although my nails looked great when I left, less than 1 week later several nails began to lift... I had to go to my regular nail salon to have them fixed... she had to do an entire fill because they were lifted so bad... I read the reviews and decided to try this salon. I made an appointment for a mani and a pedi. When I arrived there was only one other client there and three technicians on duty. The technicians were nice but overly rushing. Not that I want a really long mani pedi but I felt very rushed in the process. I think the technicians might want to re-think how this comes across to the client. I will not go back. Additionally a tool was dropped on the floor and not even cleaned properly before using in the pedicure. The massage was uncomfortable as it was a little bit of shoulder massage followed by light blows up and down my arms. So wierd. The drying time was nearly painful as there was some machine in in the salon that made a loud buzzing noise. The tech was on her phone throughout this time. No checking to see if my nails were dry. Nice women who did a decent job on the mani pedi so I tipped very well. I know how important tips are. But the experience itself was just not pleasant at all I'm sorry to say. read more

Oof. I decided to try this place out since it is close to work. I needed a shellac color change. They had me pick my shellac color off of the wall (I usually pick them based on those plastic rings with all of the different colors) which was odd. Since all of the bottles were white I had to open them to look at the colors. Some of them were so old and chunky I ended up trying to find one that looked like a fresh bottle as opposed to a great color. Once I was seated they did end up bringing me the ring so I chose a different color... the bottle was so old she couldn't get it open and had me chose another. The same thing happened with the next bottle! The final bottle was fine, she was friendly and pretty quick so I am giving it 2 stars rather than 1 but I will not be back. read more

I came here to get my nails done in preparation for a wedding. It was early-ish on a Wednesday morning, and no one was in the salon! The two nail technicians were professional and nice, and the salon felt clean. Their polish selection was just okay--not the best I've seen, but certainly not the worse. I got the regular pedicure, which I enjoyed. It wasn't anything fancy--they didn't really massage my feet or calves much, but the polish looked great and seriously lasted forever (I'm writing this review more than a month after I had the pedicure done). For my nails, I decided to get a shellac manicure. What a disappointment. The technicians did not do a good job of managing my cuticles, so the next day the polish already looked grown out! The polish certainly didn't last long--maybe three days (just after the wedding--phew), and for the extra $15 they charge (more than I've experienced at other salons), it definitely wasn't worth it. Overall, I would give the pedicure 4 stars and the manicure 2 (or even 1), hence the 3 star rating. I haven't been back, and I'm honestly not sure I would go again--there are other, better places for a comparable cost and better experience. read more

They were able to accommodate me immediately, did a great job on my mani/pedi, were very efficient without seeming rushed, and gave one of the best arm/leg/shoulder massages I've had at a nail salon... The BEST place to go period. I have gotten shellac, pedis, manis, and acrylics here and they are always amazing! About a month ago I went to another nail place with my friend that was by her house and got a set of acrylics and they were not good- all different shapes and several not all the way attached to my real nail at the end. I went into ST to get a fill and they totally fixed them and made them look so, so much better!
