My bandage and way cool nurse

This place doesn't get enough credit. I come here when I'm in need, which unfortunately in the last few months has been often. My most recent need was for stitches after I sliced my finger open with a paper cutter at work! Yikes! But unlike some other horrific times at other urgent care clinics/emergency rooms, I was greeted with kindness and exceptional service. The kind registrar, Sophie, was non-judgmental, kind and incredibly considerate of my oopsy. Then I headed back and met the kindest nurse and doctor combo! The nurse who helped me clean my wound was super nice and fortunately had a sense of humor! Same with my doctor. I was a goof ball the entire time he was doing my stitches and either he was being nice or I'm actually funny. Special thanks to the RN Jake "JB"and to Dr. Torres. This isn't a place anyone hopes to frequent, but you made it less dreadful by being kind, having a sense of humor and showing me genuine care! Hope I don't come back.. this good experience is plenty :)

    My right forearm

Had 2 stents in my heart and 100% satisfied with the surgeon. The nursing staff, very friendly but my forearm now almost completely deeply purple from bleeding under the skin. Their technique needs reviewing. Meds were prescribed for high blood pressure and high cholesterol but they didn't have those blood work numbers because I am a Kaiser patient. They insisted I take the meds even when told I would have Kaiser review them the next day and verify those meds were not needed. Of course the brilinta was needed but I question the dosage for this 86 year old. I knew my LDL cholesterol was good and I have never had high blood pressure .Nothing I said would change their mind.

    Bruising on the stomach.

Always a different excuse. It's too early, or the doctor is out of office and we need their approval. By the way, it's a medication that she has been on for 7 years. So, last time they told me to download the app. So I did. Right now, I am here to pick up as it stated it would be ready on Thursday. I work during the week and can only pick up Saturday and Sunday. I am here and they tell me to take a seat while they get it ready. I ask, why do I need to wait? She first tells me it may have been too early, which I know it is wrong cause we have reminders to order the same day every month know we have a three day grace. So I tell her this. Then she said that it may have been put back because we took too long to pick up. WRONG. it shows me that it was ready on Thursday and it is Saturday. The final response was you can't trust the app...REALLY?! The app you said to download the last time to avoid this issue?! So full of it.

I spent a month in another hospital first. I heard bad stories of Fairmont. They are not true. It's an old facility, the patients are very poor desperate people. That being said the nursing staff is attentive, caring and there is good coverage. The doctors, especially Dr. Washington are knowledgeable and caring. Best of all are the PT and OT teams! They work so hard to get you better. Truly first class. The food is actually decent . They take your orders a day in advance. I wish there was a little more privacy as it's 3-4 to a large room . But I give them five stars for care.

But now I no longer have Kaiser, and I am a man who fears change. But let me share with you all about my experience at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. My Cardiologist Dr. Sidhu was absolutely amazing, I couldn't wait for each of my next appointments (weird right?) But he made me feel safe and informed about everything that needed to happen, where I was at in the process, and what was his most educated plan of action to get my ticker back ticking right. He was thorough folks! I appreciate that kind of service. Then, they didn't make me wait months out San Ramon Regional Medical Center acted promptly at this serious matter, even if they did this everyday, I couldn't tell. They took my Afib seriously. We can get you in Friday for a cardioversion because you have taken your pradaxa consistently we can move forward. I arrived at the hospital at 8 am for prep. Hospitable guards, check in folks, all the way to the nurses. Prep time was swift and efficient. The entire time people are sharing with me what to expect and reassuring me that I will be ok. Perhaps fear shown on my disposition. My previous experience was nothing like this, not comparing, I appreciate Kaiser and the professionals there, but this felt sooooo safe. My Cardioversion without TEE, happened and when I woke my ticker was right back where it should be and I was met with a slew of caring physicians who wanted to see my smile with a regular heart beat. I recommend San Ramon Regional Medical Center for all your medical needs. They will not disappoint!!!!

We had just finished with my dad's eye exam in a different department and went straight to see Dr. Trujillo for a follow-up on some blood tests he had done. I am so thankful we had that appointment right after! It started with Crystal, who brought my dad in and checked his vitals--she was a key person in catching right away that his blood pressure was very low. When Dr. Trujillo saw the readings, she was completely on alert and moved with incredible speed. She immediately ordered an EKG (cardiogram) and had IV fluids started right away to stabilize him and get his energy back. Within an hour, he was feeling so much better! Dr. Trujillo's quick decisions, attentiveness, and genuine compassion truly made all the difference. A huge thank-you goes out to nurse Satram, who stayed by our side the entire time administering the IV fluids and monitoring him.
