My favorite thrift store of all time! I've found so many amazing treasures here over the years. Interesting items and wonderful staff. Prices can be high for quality goods, but who wouldn't expect that for Pottery Barn furniture. And here the BIG one - the money made by SvDP supports human service programs in Lane County including homeless recovery programs, affordable housing, back to work, and provide basic human needs support - like warming centers in the winter. SvDP does amazing, wonderful things for our community - and our community would be worse off without their hard work. Every dollar you spend at SvDP will do significantly more good in our local community than buying anything new from a big box store. read more

This Vinnie's is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. They have a great selection of clothing and general items and a decent book section. The people working here are incredibly friendly, especially the cashier who checked us out today. They looked like a biker or a metal band member and they were so friendly and clearly love their job. The parking lot is alright, it has a lot of spots but can be chaotic when it's busy. It can also be a bit tough to get out of. read more

Popped in here to see about finding an affordable piece of used luggage before a trip. I quite literally have never been more disgusted in all my life shopping in a secondhand thrift store. Their prices were egregious and in most cases were more expensive than a regular retail store. What's the most upsetting is that all of these items were donated. They received them for free! I can't imagine people who're actually financially struggling being able to afford to shop here which is the whole point of a thrift store to begin with. Side note: I found a single used butter knife for $1.99 and a used red Kitchenaid stand mixer for $179.99. Just for reference, I purchased my Kitchenaid brand new from Macy's for $200! I will not be returning nor can I recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

Lots of excellent stuff. I always find something cool. I'm presently waiting outside for the store to open, so I can do some retail therapy.

I don't go in this store anymore. I was one of the very first customers to shop in it since perhaps the first day it opened. In recent years, whenever I went inside, they would have people follow me around and act psycho. When I checked out, they would have either a manager or a big bruiser man check me out at the register and act either highly denigrating or flat out rude to me. I could understand if they ever saw me do any demonstrably bad behavior then throw me out of their stores, but that has never happened, so they just try to make me feel as uncomfortable as possible to be there. And I am positive they do it to other customers. This is just a little taste of the chaos this organization brings. read more

This store is HUGE! They have a little bit of everything, and even a section just for Oregon stuff. Some of their things are priced decently, some too high, which is why I give them a 4 star rather than a 5. I will say though, my friend works at this location and he likes his job, likes who he works with and his bosses, and loves the benefits he gets for working here. St. Vinnie's as a company does a lot of really good things giving to the community, the homeless population, and they supply their employees with great benefits! I trust St. Vinnie's to provide good quality products, as well as furniture. I am told they clean them pretty good at the warehouse when they get them, which is nice to hear. The furniture can still be pricey, but they also have a lot of sales to watch out for! read more

Extremely overpriced. I've seen several pieces of furniture that were actually marked MORE expensive than if the item were purchased new. Additionally, lots of broken pieces that are overpriced. I've attached images of a BROKEN dresser/side table for over $500. Absolutely insane. read more

Don't come here unless you plan on wasting your time and money. Came her to find some clothes, obviously fitting rooms are closed but can't even put a jacket on over my shirt to see if it fits in the shoulders. I was told I could purchase it and there is a 7 day return policy. Okay so then I could literally buy something and try it on in the parking lot and return it. Yes BUT they will only give you store credit so you're forced to find something that fits just by looking at it or else you're out of money. The people working the counters are inept and can't comprehend how ridiculous that is. First can't try it on and then if return no money back so you're forced to try and find something decent that probably also won't fit. might as well go to Fred Myers across the street and pay full price where you can at least return something for real money that you're spending not stupid store credit. read more

I'm not impressed by this location at all. It's big, but very unorganized. Prices tend to be outrageous. I saw a used and pretty dirty Coach handbag with a broken zipper being sold for $100. I can drive to the Coach outlet store and buy a brand new one for $85. Oh and it's a clean handbag with nothing broken. Their prices aren't much below what something new would cost. Which means it's almost easier to just go buy something new. There are many other locations with much cheaper prices, better organization and friendlier employees. read more

Huge store! Decent selection of clothes, but not as good as Goodwill Green Acres. Depends what you are looking for for this was my experience the time I went. This store wins for the huge selection of books that is easily a solid organized bookstore within the store. You'll find gems that are priced a bit high up front, but affordable books are a plenty. read more

Purchased a Cabela's brand multitool that was new in original packaging for $6.99 at the Division Ave. SVDP. Upon looking up the same item on Cabela's website; I found that I can walk right into Cabela's and purchase this same item for $5.99. And if Cabela's doesn't have it in-store, you can order it thru them and pick it up for free at Cabela's. I called the Division Ave. location and spoke to Heather, the supervisor/manager. She said that if I drove all the way back to SVDP from West Eugene then she would refund me an entire dollar to match Cabela's price. Not worth the gas and time to recover one dollar. And the best they could do was to MATCH Cabela's price? Weak. Thrift stores are supposed to save people money, not mark items up past the original MSRP. I don't have money to just be throwing away. This specific location has done this to me on many occasions and I'm finally fed-up. Not fed up with donating locally to help out those in need, but completely done with SVDP. I went to go donate some items and a lot of people don't know this if you have very large items they will actually come and get them. Well they use to. I don't know if the pandemic stop this? I do like the idea that you can drive right up to the back of the building and they come to your car then they give you a receipt for proof of donation or spend it inside if you would like to do further shopping. Of course my daughter wanted to go inside because it was close to Halloween and thought why not? I couldn't believe their prices! I am all for keeping less items clouding our landfills but how are people suppose to pay $300 for a futon frame? Also they were selling fake items like knock off purses for almost the price you pay in a the actually store. It makes me sad because if someone is truly in need how can the pay these prices? Also every single person that works there is extremely rude and you can tell they don't want to be bothered. And do not try to come in there anywhere before 30 minutes prior to closing they will basically let you know every second they are closing which I get they want to go but they have already cut their store hours. Even though my daughters found some brand new costumes I didn't want to support a business that clearly don't appreciate their customers that assist them with a 100 percent profit margin. read more

Recently, they decided to stop sorting their clothing and shoes by size, now, they sort by style and color instead. Bad idea! There is a reason pretty much every other store in the universe sorts by size. What customer would want to waste hours sorting through the entire store when only a small percent of it is actually their size?! Who has time for that?!! Also, they've recently decided to raise their prices. Interesting, considering they were already overpriced... I'm pretty much over St. Vinnie's until they put things back in size order. I'm giving two stars for the books - they have a HUGE selection! That's the one thing this place has going for it. But the prices of furniture is outlandish. Outrageous. Highway robbery. I couldn't even believe what they were asking for things - like triple take, you have got to be kidding me. It's a thrift store, where people get used things and pay a reasonable price. For what they were asking on the furniture you could practically get something new that isn't banged up and doesn't need a new paint job. I've noticed this at other St Vinnie's locations around but this one was by far, the worst. How do they even sell anything? Who is buying it and why are they paying so much? The prices are actually insane! Small cute red children's desk with scuffs and a wobbly leg for $279, old ply-wood dining table with steel legs $799??????? Sometimes you may find a deal on some clothing items if you shop the colored tag markdown only but the store is quite disorganized and the furniture is so extremely overpriced. It's bizarre and really disheartening. I pop in every once in a while and walk out within 5 minutes because it's not worth it. It's a shame. read more

Holy cow, this place is AMAZING. This is a St Vincent de Paul "Super Store" and it lives up to the name. I mostly looked at the books, and they had the most incredible book selection. On par with most used bookstores, only way cheaper. Lots of categories and most were alphabetized (rare for thrift stores). Kids books were 50 cents, and most adult paperbacks (all sizes) were $1.25 and hardbacks $2.50 with the really nice ones being a bit more. The rest of the store was very large. It looked like they had a decent selection of nice furniture and loads of clothes. I am going to make stopping here a priority next time I am in the area. read more

I really like this place because if the selection here. I mean you can literally get everything you need here. What I don't like about it is the price. If you ask them for a price, they will give you a super high price to your face, come back and it will be marked cheaper. Sometimes they'll even say "this is suppose to be a star attraction item, it's 3XL the price" when you find it on the normal racks. read more

First off, this store is the most unorganized of them all. The vinyl section is a mess. Also not happy with prices being different depending on who's working. Y'all can say you're right, but the price sheet is right I've there by the books! Also, why is this the ONLY location with a separate rack of vinyl for $6.99 each? Those are NOT thrift store prices. Secondly, the customers suck. How can I fault the business for its customers? For enabling them. Some woman had a f****** pit bull mix (I have a pit, so I shouldn't hate)on a leash inside the store with no indication that it was a guide dog. Wouldn't have had a problem with it had it not growled at me after turning a corner. I nearly dropped everything in my hands. I went and complained, but it seemed like it wasn't a big deal to the staff sadly. I question why I keep coming here. read more

I was so shocked to see how overly priced the items that were used and donated were... I saw ONE whicker chair for $80 and one couch for $700.. are you kidding me? Better just to go buy the items brand new since those are same price as the used ones. They are getting just as bad as Goodwill. read more

I am have been consistently favorably impressed for many years with each and every employee at this location. Like most folks, I find the prices high, especially on good furniture, but the sales people will knock themselves out measuring, writing down the measurements, and answering questions. SUPER HIGH prices for things they receive for FREE!! My son needed to stock his first apartment and the only things he could afford were broken, worn or ugly. All useful items were WAY OVERPRICED! I dont get it. These stores are for low income folks of all ages. This isnt pottery barn people! Although tax benefits for PB are providing high priced items for SVDP. and they are matching the prices with their junk too. Shameful!!! read more

I think our community should come together and shame these thrift stores into returning to pricing their items to be a good deal. The pricing has gotten out of control! In agreement to what other posters have stated, I have quit shopping at St. Vinnies due to the fact that there is no longer any reasoning involved in their pricing. They are taking donated items that they have received for FREE and marking them up often times near what the item would retail for new. It's insanity. If people would boycott these stores, they would be forced to re-think their pricing strategies. read more

the pricing is obscene. Why this has gotten to this point is completely absurd. The idea and intent of this charity is to help the poor. I do understand there is a whole culture of vultures that shop here only to resell items, but to start charging retail prices on used goods is a complete SIN given their mission statement. They are unilaterally passing judgement on their customer base and no longer offering the services they have long promised to the public which they serve. I've recently purchased some spendy items because there was no choice otherwise) hoping to save that extra 30$ only to be completely cheated because their employees promised items were "tested" and worked, only to have been lied to. Went searching for a couple of dinning room chairs that were in decent shape with a friend who doesn't have a lot of money to spend on stuff that isn't a necessity being a single mom. We found two chairs that were in decent shape, very old though and needed a new paint job and one chair needed glued back together, but fixable. We then looked at the price of the two chairs and they were 189.99 each!! Are you kidding me!! Two used beat up chairs that needed repaired for 189.99!! If she had that kind of money she could go to a furniture store and purchase two new chairs for cheaper!! I thought this store was for those in need who don't have a lot of money. Obviously I was way wrong. This store excludes those in need. Will never contribute anything to this store again. My stuff won't help anyone that truly needs it. read more

This place has the BEST book selection.... and I mean BEST! I will never again buy a book for full price. It blows my mind that they have so many great finds. My best friend and I treat ourselves often and come here to stock up on books. It's become an obsession, really. All of the St. Vinnie's in Eugene have great books but this location truly has it all when it comes to books. I highly recommend coming here! read more
