He also remembered me asking about a GF menu for my friend. He is so warm and inviting and kind-- I'm not sure Rise knows how lucky they are to have him! Some people working, some people socializing, but not crowded or loud. It's in the burbs but feels quiet and plenty of parking. Menu- my almond orange latte was truly life-changing. I will be trying to recreate this at home for sure. Not sweet but lots of flavor. The espresso here is excellent, not sour or bitter, very smooth. The blueberry muffin was truly the best muffin I've had in my life, and I do not say this lightly, I am quite picky about muffins. Fluffy and moist, the blueberries were not mushy. And the jalapeno scones was shockingly good and it was even gluten free. It was more similar to a shortbread in texture, which I preferred over a scone actually. Very buttery and tasty, not spicy if you're sensitive to that. It was $17 for these items, so higher than expected, but spot on for unparalleled quality. Friendly service, and very fast. Can't wait to go back, this place is just doing everything right.

Service was smooth from start to finish. Our waiter was the bomb I forgot his name but he was on it!!! They didn't mind people arriving at different times, kept the table taken care of, and had no issue splitting checks. Food came out quickly too. The food was very good. I had the shrimp and grits, sooo good, seasoned perfectly, just wish there was a little more grits compared to the shrimp. Drinks were really good as well.
