Where do I start? I'll break it down into categories. No particular order of importance…read more First, I want to start by saying I came on a Saturday at 10am. I was afraid that would be a hot/busy time. It was busy but I barely waited. I got the Iced Downtowner. - YUM. I'm going to think about that for the next week non-stop. Not too sweet. Just perfect. Sometimes coffee places have weird flavored espresso. This was so good. I got the Breakfast Toastie and got a Sausage Patty instead of Ham. *mic drop* That was so good. I'm a sourdough baker and was SO pleased with the sourdough magic they created. It was thinner than an English muffin but not too thin. (I need to know how they make that). The bakery case was stocked well and I was eyeing the blueberry scone - I somehow showed self control and didn't get it. Line moved quick, and had to wait MAYBE 5mins to get my drink and food. The seating throughout the house is so cute. Every room of the house has different seating. Booths, "dining room tables", etc. It was so cute nicely decorated too. I had been waiting so long to come here and I'm so glad I finally got to go. I will be back, and will recommend it to everyone.

Rustic, old house vibe with quaint places to sit around every corner…read more They offer a fantastic breakfast menu featuring a variety of fresh bakery items and made-to-order classic options like breakfast sandwiches. I got a cappuccino that was good but not great. They use peace coffee.... I'm a fan but with all of these little places having their own special grinds and single origin it's hard to be above average when they use mass produced coffee. Overall the place is great to bring kids or to meet a few friends. The ambience is a big selling point. Not a bad place in downtown Hastings !

This place had mix feelings but on the good and weird side…read more Meaning I don't know if it feels like a restaurant or and antique / boutique shop put together. It's seems to be a lovely joke in the wall cafe made for its grand variety of Tea. They have other foods but I came for the Tea and the tea treats. Tea choice: Bombay Chai-hot Very good more towards the floral note than the spice chai side. Very good. Food: Scones of the day: Blueberry scones- good but feels to soft and cake like a muffin and not the crumbly scone texture I'm used to. The lemon curd side was good and the cream was very basic. Not reall clotted cream hit good enough. Cucumber Tea Sandwiches: Overall the sandwiches were fine but it's not the traditional style with Mayo or white bread. Didn't like the rye bread. Felt like it was too strong of a taste for the cucumber to shine through with its crispy refreshing taste .the rye bread masked with its slight caramel dark burnt taste. Then instead Mayo, they had a cream cheese chives on the spread, I was not a big fan since this not as traditional hence the 3 starts. Overall- a nice homey home comefort feeling of an antique home and cafe put together. Basically it's hue like someone s house turn into a cafe which interestingly makes it feel humble and small town living. Will go back for the tea but food wise- could be better.

It's was my first time in very excited with everything they serve!!!! Everything is great for me…read moreservice is great
